This restored farm house has beautiful wood trim. The original wood flooring has been refinished. The furnishings have been selected to reflect the early period of the home but with comfort in mind. The large bedroom has two full size beds and plenty of closet space, the second bedroom has a full size bed with a beautiful handmade quilt. The kitchen is fully furnished and even includes some staples like flour, sugar, peanut butter etc. The bathroom includes a jetted tub and a separate shower. The yard is large and spacious with plenty of room to park ATV trailers and extra vehicles. The patio is equipped with a gas barbeque grill and dining table as well as chairs for lounging in the shade while the kids play on the spacious lawn. The home is centrally located to Capital Reef National Park, Fish Lake, and the Fremont Indian State Park. For ATV enthusiasts the Piute ATV Trail System, which has over 900 miles of trail, can be accessed directly from the house. A listing of suggested routes can be provided to make your experience on the trail system memorable. Three mountain bikes can be provided on request. These are great for cruising around town or riding some of the nearby trails.

About Barb Bode

I grew up in this house. I have spent the last several years restoring my childhood home. My most recent project was getting the wood floors restored and installing wood trim to augment the existing trim. My husband and I love the area and the opportunities it provides for ATV riding, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. I also enjoy playing golf in Richfield.

Barb Bode purchased this farmhouse in 2001

Why Barb Bode chose Utah

This property belonged to my parents. After they passed away we decided to do some serious remodleing, you know get rid of the pink carpet and wall paneling as well as the purple shag carpet in the bedroom, and turn the home into a vacation rental.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Plenty of parking for ATV trailers or extra vehicles. Nice patio to sit and enjoy the weather. Deer can often be seen walking down the road or munching on crabapples or hay stacks. Two mountain bikes are available for use. Use this as a base to see the nearby state and national parks.

Perfect, Lovely Home in Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

Perfect Spot for the 4 of us! We went ATVing for 5 days out of Glenwood, Richfield and Marysvale. This home is sweet, very clean and spacious. The kitchen is well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen & bath were very nice too. The town of Glenwood is charming. All good. We couldn't have found a better home to have as our base. Barb was so helpful in providing trail advice and well as advice on where to rent ATVs. We used Adams Outdoor Adventures in Richfield. Thank you so much Barb!

Owner's Response: It is a great location for ATVing. With access to the Piute ATV trail system right from the house and 900 plus miles of trail i am sure you never ran out of places to ride. Having a nice, roomy, well supplied house to come back to each day is a bonus.

Owner's Response: We love having repeat customers. There is so much to do in the area you can't fit it all in with one trip. I hope every one had a good time at the ATV Jamboree. They have some great rides and other activities.

Very clean

  • 5 of 5

Clean and roomy. Probably a really good locstion for ATV or hunting.

If you need to cool down the house, ask how to work the swampcooler, thete is no a/c. It works well, but there weren't any instructions. Barb was always available by phone, which was nice.

Wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is such a charming home!

The kitchen was well stocked with spices and basics and the home is super clean. We loved that it had a lot of parking space. This property is close to many beautiful state parks and we had a great day fishing at Fish Lake.

We have stayed at many vacation homes in and out of the USA, this is one of our favorites!

Charming relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed here before. It remains well stocked. I initially had difficulty getting the swamp cooler turned on but with a quick call to the owner, I got it figured out. Very good price for the space. Beats a hotel any day.

If you like the outdoors this is the place for you. You can ride the Paiute ATV trail, go mountain biking, or start a hike right from the front porch. Try your hand at fishing at Fish Lake, Koosharem Res, on the Sevier river, or in one of the many mountain lakes and streams. Visit Capitol Reef National Park, Fremont Indian State Park, Big Rock Candy Mountain. Go rafting on the Sevier River. I grew up in this area and can provide personal insight on where to go and what to see.
