This 3BR 2BA private villa offers panoramic views of the Caribbean and a private pool just steps from the beach. The second story is a cavernous primary bedroom with a sitting area and en suite bath. Your group will enjoy the beautiful outdoor living spaces.

The space

Ideal beachfront villa with stunning sea views and a beautiful private pool. This 3BR 2BA villa offers panoramic views of the Caribbean and comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces. It sleeps up to 8 people comfortably (including 2 sleeping spots on a sleeper sofa) and could sleep up to 10 people, providing an additional air mattress. The house offers all the amenities and comforts of home, including iPod docking stations, plasma TV, satellite internet, and cable TV. There are two 2-person kayaks for exploring the turquoise waters up and down the coast.

The furnished veranda on the ground floor runs the full length of the villa, and there is an upper deck off the primary suite. The views of the Caribbean Sea are unmatched, and you can see the barrier reef from your doorstep!

This is a great location if you're looking for relaxation, diving or snorkeling, fishing or other adventures. Located approximately 6 miles north of San Pedro town center, the villa is within walking distance to Portofino Restaurant and 10-15 minutes by golf cart from the grocery store, Rojo Lounge, and Mata Chica Resort. About 3 miles of the road north to the property is unpaved and can get a bit bumpy!

The onsite caretaker ensures the property is always well-manicured and maintained, and the concierge is happy to advise and plan your excursions and local transportation.

The town of San Pedro sits on the Caribbean island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. It is a beautiful tropical paradise, like most Caribbean islands, in a small and developing country. Although most areas on the island are connected to electricity, water, and internet, please be aware that there are occasional interruptions in service. Planned interruptions in service are announced by the local utility companies, and we strive to inform our guests as quickly as we are notified. When interruptions occur that are unplanned, the locals go about making the most of their day until service is restored.

I was able to communicate easily with the host and order groceries. Ahead of time was very helpful, our house was really beautiful and such a wonderful location. The caretaker was extremely helpful for us so all in all it was a wonderful day.

Really need to address seaweed prior to guest arrival. Smelt like a septic tank, so bad to the point we had to find an alternative. They did the best to fix the situation, but the groundskeeper should have hired help and had the “seegasm” removed prior to our arrival.I hope Belize can figure out the cause of the seegasm and address it, this is not isolated to this host.

Perfect and we'll go again

I can't say enough about this property. The house was clean and had all of the essentials to get us started. We enjoyed breakfast each day at the house, then ventured out for lunch and dinner. There is no shortage of places to go near this house for food/drinks.We worked with a dive shop nearby (White Sands…strongly recommend!), who picked us up off the dock. The dock was my favorite spot each evening. The moon rise was a sight I hope to never forget. The caretaker lives on site, but he and his family let you be unless you need him for anything, respecting our privacy. The whole family is super friendly.There is one caution, and that is the location is NOT what you see online. When looking online, this house shows as close to downtown. It’s not close to downtown, instead being 6 miles north. That being said, we’re happy for this misdirection because we wouldn’t have rented this house had we known where it was location. And we’re SO GLAD we did. Favorite places to go were Moon bar (pizza and events), Portofina’s (Italian), Up North (we met the owners who were incredibly friendly) and Sundeck (great for lunch on the beach).

Great Stay!

My family and I stayed at Tropical Escape for 5 days to celebrate my 50th birthday. The house is exactly as the description and Abner, the grounds keeper, along with his family are a wonderful addition. The only con was the amount of seaweed on the beach.

Incredible Vacation!

We loved our tropical escape! Absolutely peaceful and we watched the sunrise every morning and the fireflies at night. Really liked being outside of town, there’s a bunch of little shops and restaurants close by. We saw stingrays and fish from the dock every day. Highly recommend booking everything thru Tropical Escape - golf carts, massages, boat tours- they have you covered!!!! Roberto and Joe took us on life altering snorkel trip!!! The amount of creatures that we saw was amazing. Joe was so knowledgeable about the waters, animals, birds, weather! Abner and his family were incredibly kind and kept the beach and grounds sooooo clean and beautiful. Our kids had fun playing with his family. We can’t wait to come back. Oh and the beds are very cozy.

Great house and location

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the house and it's amenities. The pool, beach, and dock were just a few of our favorites. Abner was great and would check in with us occasionally. The location is north of town and made it convenient to get to all of our favorite spots.

A little bit of heaven!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Everything was exactly as represented on the VRBO app. The home is located away from town and is in a quiet, more rural area. We loved that and felt like we had a lot of privacy. The swimming pool was immaculately clean, and well taken care of. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept us very comfortable when we needed to get out of the heat. The property manager was close by, but never interfered with our privacy. However, if we needed anything, he was very cheerful and willing to help us and answer our questions. It is mostly dirt roads if you want to go to San Pedro town, and you definitely need to reserve a golf cart for your stay. We love the pier out in front of the property and enjoyed sitting out there and doing some light fishing. It was very easy to make arrangements for scuba diving, snorkeling, and any other activities we wanted. The only thing my husband wished they had was a TV in the upstairs master bedroom, but that is definitely not a deal-breaker! . We appreciated the good Internet and the cable TV selections when we did want to watch some TV. The grocery store was not too far away and we were able to get everything we wanted. Last of all, the views are very beautiful and we really did feel like we were in a small part of paradise! ‘We would definitely return there again. Also, there were six adults in our party. However, the home has extra bedding for families with children.

Beautiful House, not the best location

The house is exactly as advertised. It is large, clean, and very nice. The balcony and pool are really beautiful too. The caretaker and his family are very nice and helpful. The house is a bit further from the center of town that I'd prefer (35 min golf car ride to the center and about 20 min to most of the restaurants and shops, and probably about 45 min to Secret Beach). Also, there is an issue with sargassum and trash on the beach. I don't know if it was because it's the offseason, but the beachfront was full of trash. Our caretaker did a good job cleaning in front of our house, but it was everywhere nearby and the smell from the sargassum and trash was really unbearable at times. It was hard to even be outside. Also, you cannot swim in the ocean at all because of all the seagrass.

Perfection

Can't say enough about this house. The pics do not do it justice. We enjoyed everything about it from watching the sunrise on the pier to swimming in the awesome pool. The caretaker Abner was always there when needed but out of site most of the time. Booking was simple and communication was excellent all the way through. Would 100% recommend this place and would definitely stay there again.

Best Family Vacation

I cannot speak highly enough about this house!!! The location is absolutely perfect - far enough away from crowded San Pedro to feel secluded without feeling isolated. There are several well-stocked grocery stores nearby and outstanding restaurants nearby (north of the San Pedro bridge). The house was spacious enough to accommodate 5 of us and could easily have done so for 7 or 8 people. The private pool was a godsend, as was the private dock for taking in the sunrise/sunsets. We absolutely LOVED that they provide two 2-person kayaks - rowing out to the pristine clear-blue water finding conch, starfish, and all sorts of native sea life. It was like being on a free excursion! Finally, I can't possibly express just how amazing the on-site caretaker, Abner, is! Each morning, when we eventually migrated to the pool, he would swing by to check and see if we needed anything, take out our trash, clear seaweed from our portion of the beach, etc. He and his family are unbelievably sweet and truly enhanced the quality of our stay. We were there when Hurricane Beryl was bearing down on the island and Abner made a special point to keep us updated on its progression and, prior to its projected impact in the area, came and closed all of the metal hurricane shutters that are on every window and door of the house. Apologies for the dissertation, but this property deserved nothing less. In short, book this house!

A little slice of paradise!!!

This home was our very own private paradise for my family of 5 - ages 18-49. Pictures don’t do it justice. We went the end of June and it was amazing!!! The weather was great, very low crowds, mosquitoes weren’t bad (I’m highly allergic to their bites and don’t ever leave on our tropical vacations w/out Jungle Juice!), and there was no one ever around us on the beach or on the dock! We knew the house was farther out and of course rented golf carts but I have to say, we all preferred being out of the city because the house, pool and beach were so private and gorgeous!! So many people seem to complain about the bumpy roads but we didn’t find them a big deal at all and anyone who travels to other countries shouldn’t be surprised, it’s all part of the fun and experience. It does take about 25 mins to get back to the heart of town but there’s lots to eat and see between there. Also Secret Beach is only about 17 mins away - although I was put off by all the sand fleas that bit me up there in the water so I wouldn’t go back in. Didn’t have problems with that at this house or anywhere else on San Pedro or Caye Caulker. The house itself had more then enough room for us, was very clean, cool ac, and loved having a washer n dryer! Had enough of the essentials to cook meals and is well stocked with toilet paper & towels. We loved the care taker Abner and his sweet family! He was respected our privacy and takes great care of the property/pool, beach front and guests. BOOK THIS HOME!

Simply Paradise

Tropical Escape definitely lives up to its name. It fits in every dream of a beach house on an island. It is well kept, clean and has the most thoughtful details. It had everything we needed and more. The pool is a great touch, especially if you go during the summer months - I could spend hours at the end of the dock. Abner and his family are the most wonderful people you will come across and they are more than willing to help you get set up with whatever you need. I am already planning my next trip. Thank you!

Beautiful but not private

Unfortunately, there is no privacy due to the caretaker and his family constantly going back and forth to use the pier. We brought fishing gear but it was difficult to find the pier available. In the evenings after dark we figured they would be in for the night. But our nightly swim was always accompanied by the family strolling through on their way to the pier which made us uncomfortable. Its a lovely home, but it is not a 5 minute drive to town as the description states. It takes a good 1/2 hour, which was fine. Be aware that the curtains in the bedrooms are very see-through, whether it be day or night. The TV shown in the upstairs bedroom was gone and that would have been nice to have being that the wifi was in and out for streaming. A generator would be a good addition if even to run the refridgerator when the electricity goes out. We lost all of our meat because of a 14 hour power outage. Candles would also help out being that we were not prepared for the outage. I believe that the owners do not know that the caretaker and his family are being as intrusive as they are. While we were packing our cart up to leave the family was already over at the pool getting ready to take a dip. I would stay again if the privacy issues were taken under consideration.

A beautiful spot on the island!

We have stayed in this home 2 times and love it! It is located in a great place, the water is beautiful and the dock is perfect for relaxing and watching the boats go by. Having a pool is a must and rare to find. We will be back again next year!

Tropical Escape stay

House set up was perfect. Abner was so awesome. Reef access and kayaks were used on a daily. Very private and away from hustle and bustle but have nice grocery stores close by. The pool is one of the best we’ve ever used. My family will stay here again. We saw rays, barracuda, nurse sharks, and dolphins swim near our dock. We made so many memories here. Highly recommend this place for a vacation. We did 10 days. I just want 10 more.
