My wife and I loved our stay. The view is nice from the porch. Not to far from Ashville and its pretty quite. The yard is bigger than it seems and there is a gate on the porch you can set up. So there is a lot of room for the dog to run around. The house has just about eveything you jeed for a short stay. Highly recommend.

The hosts were great and the house was very clean. I loved the fence in yard and Mountain Views from the porch. Great location - you were in the country but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants and a good central location to go check out near by towns. I miss it already!

It is a great place both location wise (country but close to things) and for pets.. our dog loved being out without being tied up. Porch is delightful. Beds are a little high for a short person :-), but that's not a deal breaker. Will stay again!

Beautiful place to stay in the mountains. It was easy to get in and out of the driveway. The kitchen was well stocked with cups, plates, pans, etc. The beds were all comfortable. The wraparound porch and fenced in yard make it easy to enjoy the view. The hosts communicated well. I'd 100% recommend staying here.

The house is perfect. There was plenty of room for my family of 6. Large kitchen with everything you would need to make any meal. Our favorite thing was the front porch sitting. Beautiful views to watch the sunrise. I would definitely rent the house again. Owner is very nice, and responds promptly.

Amazing place to stay

Me and 3 friends came to Asheville with our dog for a climbing trip! We loved staying at this property. Thereā€™s a lot of privacy with good views and the house was extremely comfortable. Our hosts were extremely attentive. The only issue we had was the address brought us and the Ubers we ordered to the neighbors house but the hosts provided us with detailed directions to easily correct our mistake. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Third time and still loving it!!1

This is our third stay and we'll be back again. It's our favorite home away from home in the mountains. Jef and his wife think of everything you could ever need. The house is always immaculate and we love sitting on the porch and enjoying the view and the quiet. 10 minutes into Weaverville and 20 minutes into Asheville make it the perfect spot.

My German Shepherd loved the fenced in yard. Very convenient to Asheville and Weaverville. Loved the privacy and owners were the best. Definitely would recommend.

Great Place

The house was open and inviting. Dogs enjoyed the yard with plenty of room to play. Good location for all the things we wanted to do. Would recommend to anyone with pets.

Perfect little spot!

Everything was great! Plenty of room for our two dogs to run around. Really close to Asheville and lots of great places to eat. Communication was seamless. Highly recommend!

Yellow Country Cottage

Good afternoon Jeff & Karen! We throughly enjoyed our recent stay (3/16-3/21) in your very cozy country cottage in Alexander,NC. Thnx for allowing us to stay there. We were quite content to stay put & relax but we did venture out & visited the birthplace of Zebulon Vance (no relation to our current VP)Who became a NC Gov & Senator. & we also experienced the delicious delights @ Well Bred Bakery in Weaverville! Yummy! The weather varied to about 30 deg overnight & 50-75deg for daytime. The cottage was well stocked w/kitchen utensils (alittle more counter space for meal prep would be helpful; maybe a portable island, just a thot)Our dog Shadow (an 8yo golden) loved running around in the fenced in yard & gave us peace of mind that she was safe. We had an enjoyable time!

We absolutely love this property. It is always exceptionally clean and well stocked. The communication is great and the Harding's are so welcoming and easy to work with. We can't wait for another weekend getaway ti visit again.

Grandkids Christmas

This is our 2nd stay and we look forward to staying again. We took our 2 granddaughters to go snow tubing and spend the weekend in the mountains. There was a little snow and the temperatures dropped to the 20's, but the house was warm and cozy when we arrived. The area is beautiful and the house and the hosts are wonderful to work with.
