Hook & Heaven is perfect for fisherman or couples who want to visit Lake Texoma

Hook and Heaven is a wonderful property only blocks away from Preston Shores Beach and Boat Launch. This fully remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bath home (with a bunk bed room for two more), is perfect for both the fisherman and the couples who want to get away to what many consider the best lake in the D/FW area, Lake Texoma. This larger property is unique as it has the space to bring a fishing boat or two and still have camp fires around the firepit.

For game players, this home has a poker table, yes, a poker table as well as a large dining room table where you can play cards, games or simply sit around chatting. It features a large L shaped couch where one or two people can nap on or watch the game.

With a fenced in yard, you can bring your dog or cat with you (with additional fee) and enjoy the Lake and the cuddles when you return. Some of my favorite things about this property is how wonderful it is both inside and out. My wife and I lived in this property for over 20 years before moving down the street. Like what happens many times, we wish that we would have done this remodel when we bought the house those many years ago.

It has quality internet and smart TV’s in all rooms except the bunk bed room. For the parents with kids, the bunk bed room is right next to the master bedroom so you can keep the kids close if you want. We also have a stove, microwave and Air fryer for your enjoyment. And don’t forget the charcoal to grill up great food.

So if you are a couple that is wanting to get away with friends or kids. Or fisherman who wants a perfect place to stay, this is the place for you. We also have a golf cart that can be rented by the day to make the drive to the beach easier. You can also park on the street and walk down to the beach. Enjoy the Lake and everything around Lake Texoma, including the Elks, American Legion and VFW. And of course, the Denison and Sherman areas.

And a Fun Fact, this house used to be a Barracks at Perrin Air Force Base in Sherman.

Luxury in the woods

The rental was perfect!! Very spacious. Quiet, and very private. The only downside was the bugs outside.

My wife and I bought our first property at Lake Texoma about 31 years ago and it was a 31 year dream to live at the Lake. And we are proud to say that we made this dream a reality a couple of years ago. When we made this dream come true, we could not sell "Hook and Heaven" as we loved this property too much. We decided to fully remodel it and make it was it is today. We feel that you will love this property as much as we do. Enjoy, relax and breath the fresh air. And of course, have a blast at Lake Texoma.

Why they chose this property

We love the Preston Peninsula as we are so close to the water. We can be at the beach, on our golf cart, in about 4 minutes and to our boat in the marina in about 7 minutes. And we love this property as it is so close to our Texas family, 9/10's of a mile away.

What makes this property unique

Hook and Heaven was originally a barracks that was moved from Perrin Air Force Base to this property when the base closed down. This unique history and how it was designed was both innovative and unique to our area. It was fully remodeled in 2024 and it looks magnificent. And, if you have the chance, go to Perrin Air Force base museum and take a tour.
