Welcome to your perfect lakeside escape. Nestled on the shores of Kauppi Lake in Cotton, MN, Lake House Retreat offers a peaceful getaway just 40 minutes from Duluth, Cloquet, and Virginia. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a quiet retreat, or a fun-filled lake adventure, this spacious and well-appointed home has everything you need. Lake House Retreat includes 2 bedrooms with plenty of room for extra sleeping with a queen size air mattress available. This family-friendly home features an open floor plan with electric fireplace on the main level. A fully equipped kitchen includes all appliances, including a built-in ice machine in the refrigerator. Large dining table seats up to 10 people with an island in the kitchen which offers more seating. Just off the family room and kitchen area is a large deck that offers picturesque views of the lake where you can enjoy the fresh air, sounds of the loons, a good book, cup of coffee, or just take in the view.

Lake House Retreat interior features a main-level full bath with a bedroom with a queen bed, walk-in closet and television. Coffee bar is equipped with a duel keurig with a coffee maker along with all your favorite coffee fixings (to-go cups, coffee cups, creamer, sugars, decaf and regular coffee pods). A full kitchen which includes dinnerware, silverware, cups, pots/pans, cooking utensils, toaster, air fryer, baking sheets, and serving bowls. Family room and dining room has an open floor plan with views of the lake. Large entryway includes a closet, and laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. Loft bedroom with open floor concept, king bed, bathroom with stand up shower, television and plenty of room for a queen size mattress for extra sleeping with (air mattress included at this home). For the little people this home has a portable crib, high chair and a gate for the stairs. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms installed on each floor.

Lake House Retreat exterior offers 2 decks with dining tables on both. One high top gas fire pit dining table. Beach chairs, fire pit chairs, picnic table, garage chairs and tables, swim floats for the whole family, floating island (seats up to 8), 3 kayaks, and 1,000 FEET OF SHORELINE WITH A 32 FOOT DOCK WITH SEATING. Water next to dock (swimming area) is shallow with a gradual slope and is 3 feet deep at the end of the dock. There are two ponds which the kids love to hunt for frogs! We also offer two grills for all your grilling needs (one is a Pit Boss stone griddle and one is a Pit Boss wood pellet grill and smoker). Garage offers front room space for those cooler, rainy, let’s get out of the sun for a bit moments. Also has a refrigerator and freezer, 2 coolers and a beautiful view of the lake.

Additional comforts include; WiFi, AC, Dish Network, playing cards, dice, UNO, Phase 10, some children’s books and inside toys. Cornnhole game with bags. Large fire pit near lake with a supply of firewood, fire starters, lighter, chairs and s’mores box with roasting sticks and wet wipes. Our property is sprayed for insect control which is people/pet friendly allowing our guests to enjoy the outdoors more comfortably.

Pets: Lake House Retreat has a 2 dog maximum. A fee of $25 per day, per dog will be added to reservation. No cats are allowed.

A 20’ Sylvan pontoon boat is available to rent separately for either a daily or weekly rate. Please reach out after booking for pricing and reservation.

NOTE: If you’re looking to host a family reunion, birthday party, anniversary party, bridal or baby shower contact the host directly for more information regarding these daily rental options. Unfortunately no bachelor or bachelorette parties are allowed.
