We would like to present our beautifully restored historic home for your recreation, relaxation and enjoyment. This home has all the modern amenities, while maintaining the charm and character of a 1920’s brick bungalow style. It is open and airy with beautiful views from every window. This home features sleeping for 6 with 2 King sized beds and a queen sized sofa bed. The bathroom was recently remodeled and features a rainfall showerhead. The views from the living room with gas fireplace, formal dining room and breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen are of Lake Michigan, the Ahnapee River and the Algoma Marina. Some of the wonderful things that Algoma has to offer are: swimming at the beautiful Crescent Beach at Lake Michigan, hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, wine and beer tastings, world class dining, within a 5 to 7 minute walk from the house, and the amazing North Water Street Bakery is two doors away. We are a quick 45 drive from Lambeau Field, the home of the famous Green Bay Packers football team. Sturgeon Bay is 20 minutes by car, and the best of Door County is a one hour car ride for a great day trip. The walkability factor is excellent to everything in Algoma. We really love this home, and know that you will too.

The four of us enjoyed our short stay at this home. It was in a great location, in order to access everything we planned on doing. We took a day trip to Sister Bay for the Fall Fest, went to a fish boil at Scaturo's in Sturgeon Bay and still had time to relax some. The breakfasts at the bakery next door were delicious and VERY reasonably priced. The two king size beds/linens were very comfortable and the home was very clean, with everything we needed, except smaller size drink glasses. Church was across the street, which was convenient. Thanks for a great stay.
Great Place, Great Location.
Couldn't have asked for a better location. Six guys decided to travel to Wisconsin to do some Salmon fishing and go to the Green Bay / Vikings game. This house fit our needs exactly. This house is so big, it could have easily housed 8 of us (other than the 1 bathroom).
The location is great. Walking distance to the marina where we docked our boat and great access to a very much thriving downtown Algoma. I can't explain how impressed we were with the whole trip. The people in Algoma were great. The charter boat guys we met at the bar put us on some fish and overall, everybody was very friendly. We highly recommend and we hope to make this an annual trip.
Well-stocked, great space, friendly owners!
We stayed at the home in Algoma for three nights in August. It was an excellent experience! The owners are communicative and friendly, and the place was ready when we checked in.
It's even bigger than we expected, and it was perfectly arranged for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). There are board games, linens, and everything you'd expect in a kitchen, of course. But the owners also have included fishing rods, outdoor chairs, a huge booklet of information on local attractions, and the basics in case you forgot something or need to run a load of laundry.
It's also in an ideal location; we took day trips to Green Bay (yes, the Vikings fans went on a Lambeau tour and really enjoyed it!) and north into Door County. Everything was convenient and easy to get to from the Algoma home.
I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend this home to anybody staying in the area.
Great location. Walking distance to downtown, the beach, restaurants and bars.
Thanks for sharing your home with us! It was perfect for our trip to the door county area for a family reunion. The house provided ample sleeping space and two sitting areas, so plenty of options for time alone. We enjoyed playing the piano and card games at the dining table and flying a kite. We went to skaliwags for dinner, pricey....but excellent and then stopped by a bar downtown with live band. There was a free movie in the park for the little kids....bonus! Lots going on for a small town. Algoma rocks! We'll be back!
Enjoyable weekend with friends
We stayed for a weekend in Algoma with our friends and our toddlers. We had a nice weekend despite the rain. We went tart cherry picking, which was a lot of fun. Algoma is very close to Sturgeon Bay, so we were able to do a fish boil on Saturday. The house was big enough to accommodate all of us. The only hiccup we encountered was with the deposit refund, but Rob and Cathy did respond quick to the situation.
Perfect for what we needed!!
Super great place and wonderful location. We were able to walk to everything. Clean and had everything you could possibly need. Like being at home away from home. Hosts were extremely quick in response to any questions or issues we had.
Would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for helping us create great memories of Algoma WI.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We definitely try as best we can to please our guests. You are welcome back to stay again anytime. Algoma in the autumn is magnificent!
