Rural Verona is waiting for you at this superb 5-bedroom fully equipped country home surrounded by verdant hills, trees, alfalfa fields and majestic vistas in all directions. Adjacent to the 800 acres of the Sugar River Wildlife Area and the 300 acres of the Madison School Forest the wildlife is abundant with regular viewing of deer, turkey, geese, cranes and songbirds. Hiking, biking, canoeing nearby. Epic and downtown Verona 5 minutes away and Madison just 15 minutes, Dane County airport 30 minutes. Sleeps up to 8 with 1 king bed, 4 queen beds, 1 twin bed, and a futon this marvelous property offers plenty of space for guests. The 3 bathrooms, each with bathtub and shower, ensure everyone stays comfortable. The modern kitchen with maple cabinets and granite counter tops is fully equipped, dining room has a round table seating 8 and living room plus outdoor deck provides the perfect gathering space for family or friend gatherings. A great place to call home base while you're away. We hope you enjoy your stay. Two night minimum and discounts for week and longer. Family friendly. Please no pets, no smoking. Property owned and managed by retired University of Wisconsin College of Agriculture and Life Sciences professor.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights
So the cleaning service knows which beds and towels were used please strip the used beds and place the sheets and used towels on top of the washing machine in the mudroom
So we can be sure to sanitize dishes between visitors, please place all used dishes in the dishwasher and start the hot water wash cycle.
The cleaning service will empty the trash and recycle from the kitchen and bathroom If more than one kitchen trash bag is filled, new bags are in the hall closet. Leave full bags in the mudroom.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

This is a spectacular, bucolic, well-situated property near the town of Verona and only 20 minutes from Madison. The kitchen was great and the open floor plan made it easy to sit and enjoy conversations with the larger group we had. It was perfect for our family with two bedrooms (one bedroom with en-suite bathroom) upstairs and three bedrooms downstairs. All rooms are comfortable. Only downside for us was that we had 6 adults in the three downstairs bedrooms and we all shared one bathroom. We recommend this house for your family’s vacation. The view out the living room window is one of a kind!

Relaxing getaway in the country

The house was clean, spacious, and filled with light, with lots of windows looking out on acres of woods and hay and corn fields. Located on a dead end road, there was no traffic noise and no lights visible at night. We enjoyed hiking on the Ice Age Trail nearby, biking on the Badger State Trail, swimming at the Verona High School Aquatic Center. and picking strawberries, as well as going into Madison for some great Thai food. This is a perfect house for a family, with lots of room for kids to run outside and a closet full of toys for all ages. I would highly recommend this house for a group looking for a relaxing vacation with lots of outdoor activities nearby and just a few miles from Verona and Madison.
