Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a GREAT time at your lovely chalet. It was exactly as pictured, and very cozy and comfortable. We had all rain and cold weather, but we didn't mind a bit. Just snuggled up with books and alternating cups of cocoa and glasses of wine. Lovely!

The nicest surprise was the wonderful dog tie-out. We weren't expecting such convenience! It was so nice just to step outside and hook the pooch up. After one high-energy run down to the end of the line (and subsequent flight), she got the hang of it and enjoyed having some freedom.

We would love to return another time when the weather permits us to wander a bit further.

Beautiful View, Clean and Spacious

  • 4 of 5

We loved our trip! We have two young girls and the beach was wonderful for them to play in. The house was completely furnished with anything you would need. The one thing that we had a hard time with was the King and Queen beds not comfortable at all.

Wonderful and very clean cottage

  • 5 of 5

Little Bear Lake house was gorgeous, very clean, with great decor and loved the layout of the cottage. All you need to pack is clothing and groceries. It was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful views of the lake from the living room and kitchen. Very open floor plan. Enjoyed sitting on the kitchen island for our meals with a view of the lake. Great, large deck as well, but we were there during a cold front so we didn't get to enjoy eating or sitting much outdoors. We did spend a lot of time fishing and caught quite bit. Nice evenings with a bonfire. Steve, the owner is wonderful to work with. He was just a phone call away for any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this cottage. Despite the not so great weather, we still had an amazing time and would love to come back.

Great Family Vacation ~ Beautiful Lake Home ~ Everything you will ever need & more

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed at the Lake House in mid June and it was one of the best trips our family has had. We came up to ride our ORV's (which we drove to right from the driveway) and to enjoy some time on the lake. When we walked in, we all could not believe how beautiful it was inside. We felt like we were in a log cabin in the woods, it was perfect. It was super clean and there was everything we needed for our week's stay, plus extra supplies.

The views of the lake were breathtaking and sitting on the back porch in the morning with a cup of Joe was so relaxing. We took the canoe out a few times to catch some fish and caught some huge bluegill and bass. There was not a beach, but the water level was very high from the Spring's rain. It was sandy thou where the kids swam.

The only thing that was the downfall was the walk down to the lake, there were a lot of stairs, but the exercise was good for all of us and there is no Wi-Fi (which was fine for me, but the teenagers struggled a little). Our cell phone service (AT&T) was pretty spotty as well.

Steve was great to work with during the entire process, he answered all my questions promptly and took care of any issues or concerns that we had.

I would highly recommend this property and we are planning to make a trip back in the fall to see all the amazing colors around the area.

Everything it was described to be and then some!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful charming cabin! Upon walking in the front door it was a great first impression, the view out the back towards the lake and spotless inside. Just looking around at the craftmanship of the cabin it was impressing. We took our entire family kids and parents up with us and everyone enjoyed the stay. Kids swimming in the clear lake, parents enjoyed the wonderful tree top deck overlooking the lake, and myself fishing. That is the only thing that I can say I wished was different was that I didn't catch the first fish but hey, that's fishing I guess. Steve, the owner has to be one of the most personal people that I have ever done business with. Prompt to reply to any question, very professional, and just all around a class act! It was a breath of fresh air to actually find someone that has not lost the ability to provide customer service at the highest level. We are for sure going to try and get back to this cabin every chance we get!

Perfect family vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

We just finished up a full week at Little Bear Lakehouse... this was our 2nd trip up to this LBLH and it's wonderful! Beautiful house with the quintessential "Up North Cabin" feel. Everything you could ever need (aside from food) is provided by the owner Steve. My family had so much fun relaxing, fishing, cooking our own meals, and roasting marshmallows at the camp fire. We stayed here in September of 2016, again this May 2017, and can't wait to return this September and every year after!
