Our waterfront home is a little slice of paradise just waiting for you! The cabin is nestled back from the street providing just enough privacy. The full moon lights up the summer sky, the sun sets over the glistening water while you're barbecuing and the trees sway softly in the wind as the night comes to a close. The fresh salt air will relax you as you watch the eagles, birds, seals and deer along the beach and around the island. This gorgeous setting is perfect for boating, kayaking, beach combing and long walks around the island. On the beach and in the water you will find beautiful pink starfish (low tide), small crab, jellyfish, clams (a must for dinner!) and sand dollars. Watch out, occasional squirts from sand-buried Geoducks might surprise you! A fire pit sits close to the water for evening s'mores and stories highlighting your favorite daytime adventures. Sun umbrellas and chairs fill the deck hanging over the bulkhead. The community dock is a short distance from the property and can be used for fishing or a place to tie up your boat. This serine private island/property is perfect for family vacations, romantic weekends, a place to gather old/new friends or for those of you attending an event at Fair Harbor Marina. French doors lead to an outdoor deck with a table/chairs, gas barbecue and adirondeck chairs. Upstairs on the third level is a bonus room (this is where the kids will want to hang out) with a pull out couch/tv/game table or it can be used as a third bedroom. We have Aero Beds available. Downstairs on the bottom floor are two bedrooms, a full laundry room, a bathroom with a shower and a lower deck off the master bedroom with a wonderful view of the water. There are TV's on all three levels. The backyard has two grassy areas, a fire pit overlooking the beach, a picnic table and lower deck that sits right over the water. The water is a very short walk through the backyard and down some steps. We have lots of available tubes, blow up boats, 3 kayaks, a small white boat with oars/small motor and lots of life jackets that can all be used. We also have a few other kid friendly things (bats, balls, scooters etc..)
Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10:00am.
Both my wife and I grew up in the Bellevue/Seattle area with homes or cabins on the water. We knew we had to have a place to get away to and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and Puget Sound. We also wanted to give our children the experience of growing up on the water enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Our greatest joy has been watching them swim, fish, explore sea-life on the beach (for hours!) bike and go kayaking (just to name a few things!). We live in Bellevue with our two children and live just close enough to our cabin to take advantage of a sunny day on the water!
Darci Russell purchased this house in 2000
Our cabin is in a close community of people and the lifestyle is relaxed and friendly. We kayak and boat every chance we get and the kids spend the days on the beach, jumping off the dock, swimming, fishing and starfish hunting. Barbecues after a hot day in the sun are a must! Needless to say, our cabin holds a very special place in our heart and we want to share it with other couples and families.
The day we purchased our cabin is a day we will never forget. The sun was shining through the trees and the water was glistening. We'll never forget the smell of the honeysuckle wrapping around the edge of the deck. With a lot of TLC, we made it our little piece of heaven.
Loved everything about this charming northwest 'cabin'. The space, the setting, and the owners were all delightful!
Having grownup in the NW it was fun to spend time at a cabin so similar to those that we spent many weekends in on the sound. Darci has provided absolutely everything that you could need for a perfect home away from home.
As can happen in the NW sometimes the weather isn't dry and sunny. The weekend we were there was one of those NW rainy days. We were able to have a fire and get cozy which was really nice. Then when the sun broke through we had drinks on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful setting.
Many thanks for a wonderful spot!
The cottage on Treasure Island was absolutely amazing! So cute and comfortable! We cooked several meals in your kitchen or out on the grill. Totally appreciated everything provided in your kitchen. We had beautiful weather and took advantage of eating many meals out on your patio with the beautiful harbor view! We spent many enjoyable hours out on the water kayaking with the cute harbor seals! Your beds were very comfortable! We had unusually warm weather our week, but didn't miss the air conditioner one bit. With the bedrooms in the walk out basement and a couple fans, we were comfortable every night! Your place was in a great location. We had day trips to Lake Cushman and Gig Harbor. Very easy drive to Bremerton and a ferry to Seattle. We traveled with our two adult sons and everyone loved our vacation! Such great family memories! Thanks so much for sharing your home! We will be back!
We had a wonderful vacation at the cottage on Treasure Island. It is a peaceful setting with very well maintained grounds and house. Beds are comfy and plenty of extra blankets and towels are provided. All you need is food as everything else is taken care of. We enjoyed kayaking around Treasure Island and Stretch Island and seeing all the seals in the inlet. Not far from a variety of hiking trails. We would love to return for another stay!
Wonderful location, beautiful home, attentive owner, every amenity provided. Couldn't have asked for a better rental. We'll always have fond memories of our visit and hopefully we can return in the future.
We have been in many VRBO homes in our years of travel. This one is by far the most beautiful and complete vacation home away from our home. Everything is top notch and just plain "inviting". The water and the land come together to create a living scene that is even more beautiful than the picture on the home web page. All the kitchen ware, bath needs, bedding and furniture were just as if you were in your own home. The island is tranquil. The surrounding towns are fun and easy.
Come to this island......you will not want to leave.......we almost didn't.
Thank you Dari & Don.
Our cabin is located on a small island in Grapeview, WA, approximately an hour and thirty minutes from Seattle or 45 miles from Tacoma or Olympia. Our property is nestled back from the road for both privacy and convenience. There are grocery/drug stores, restaurants, hardware stores, a drive-in movie theatre and many other small shops located within 7-10 minutes from our property. Silverdale is filled with major shopping stores/mall, theatres, gym and many restaurants located 25 minutes from our property. The main attraction to our property is that it is on the water and you have access to kayaking, beach fires, walks and bike rides around the island, fishing and enjoying family time or quiet romantic time. It is located close to Fair Harbor Marina so there is a wonderful view of sailboats/boats coming in and out of the harbor.
