EXCELLENT LOCATION & PRICES ! DIRECTLY ACROSS THE CAUSEWAY FROM SULLIVAN'S ISLAND PRISTINE BEACHES, IN BEAUTIFUL OLD VILLAGE MOUNT PLEASANT is the LOCATION of our 2 bedroom, 1 and 2- ½ baths Townhome; 1500+, meaning each room is spacious, at least 1/3 larger than most townhomes.

Located 1 mile to Sullivan's Island Beach, 6 miles to Historic Charleston, 12 miles to the airport, 2 miles to Shem Creek’s famous seafood restaurants, 4 miles to the Yorktown at Patriot’s Point, and 1 mile to Pitt Street Bridge, this Townhouse offers one King size Bed in large master bedroom as well as a loveseat. One queen and a set of bunk beds in second bedroom, plus full size, all wood futon along with Simmon's sofa in LR. It is comfortably prepared for sleeping 4 adults and 2-4 children (+port-a-crib), OR 5 adults MAX, some exceptions considered. The 2 bathrooms uptairs share 1 shower/tub in the middle with seperate entrances from Master and hall baths - a Jack n Jill bath. Then there is another 1/2 bath downstairs. As of 4/15, we have 42" flat screen in LR, and 32" flatscreens in master BR and 2nd BR. There are 1 foot cement firewalls between each townhouse to preserve safety (and noise : )

( *We also have a 1BR (king bed)/1BA next door available for smaller groups #652706 also offers a King size Bed as well as a top line queen sleeper in LR. Photos of it follow townhouse photos below.)

The large townhouse kitchen is fully equipped with all but your groceries and the large dining room seats 6-8 comfortably. The living area is large and comfy, arranged for family fun. A full laundry room is off of the living room. That room opens onto the small back porch and small backyard with grill and hammock. There is a covered front porch as well. We keep a few beach chairs, a medium cooler, and a some beach toys ( as well as non-beach toys) for guests to use. I also have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn. There are 2 private parking spots.

The charming vacation home is decorated in a tropical island/beach motif and is located on a quit cul-de-sac with no street traffic in one of Charleston’s top communities.

Walk 1 mile to Sullivan’s island’s gorgeous beach and fun pubs, or 1 mile the other direction to Old Pitt Street Bridge, a 1000-foot pier, is a favorite biking, walking, crabbing, fishing destination on the Intercoastal Waterway with incredible sunsets overlooking downtown Charleston. Shopping is less than 2 blocks walk, as are 6 restaurants, with many more in 3 block radius. There are five top golf courses within 10 to 20 minutes drive and many more 30-45 minutes.

All-adult groups of more than 2 adults must be 27 years of age and above, or ask specifically for exception. We cannot allow Bachelor or Bachelorette groups. Family groups must be hosted by adult of at least 25, or get exception.

One of our best features is that we are located in a much lower traffic area than most of the Charleston Area. Mount Pleasant’s Old Village is accessible to downtown and beaches without entering the main traffic areas of Hwy 17 which have become a burden to our city. Directions will be direct and simple and involve few complicating factors. This can make a serious difference in your experience. It was built in 1978, remodeled in 1989, and we do ongoing updating, but a full renovation would force us to raise prices. The Village is the nicest area, but all the brand new places are miles up the HWY.

PET CLEANING FEE MUST be PAID for well trained dogs to be considered! Extra cleaning after pets is done for future guests with mild/moderate pet allergies.

No cats! I am sorry to say it costs over $1000 to de-allergy for cats, and my daughter, as well as other guests, are severely allergic, so we cannot accept cats.

We provide a lmited amount of start-up paper goods, soaps, etc. We provide 7 bath towels, 7 washcloths, 4 hand towels, 3 bath mats, 2-3 kitchen towels, and will always have some linens that get suntan oil/accelorator/ shaving nick stained after 1st/2nd use, but buy 4+ new sets a year, and cannot do new ones every stay. Some guests prefer to bring their own for maximum comfort. ) Extras are also avaiable for rent from our cleaning service, or several independant ones in the area.

It is standard practice to have guests empty trash, as they my have stinky stuff (diapers, seafood shells...) which permeates the place when not cleaned for hours, or occasionally the next day.

My parents own a large wonderful beachfront home that rents for $9000+ a week which I have managed for 15* years. My husband and I decided that it would be great for us to have a rental that would easily accessible to the beach and historic downtown, and a more affordable vacation here for smaller families/groups. We live close by and just love this LOCATION.

What makes this townhome unique

We are truly in the best possible location for accessibility to all facets of vacationing in the Charleston area: lowest traffic area, safest area, beautiful area, easy directions to all locations from Myrtle Court, and just moments to everything. Outside of beachfront or South of Broad Luxury (with the price tag that must follow), we have the very best to offer. I am from this area, we live close by, and just love this Location. Smaller groups and families may want to look at our 1BR (king bed)/1BA next door, our beachfront condo, and larger family gatherings our family 6BR beachhouse. Extremely convenient to everywhere we wanted to go! We walked in and were so pleased with the townhouse, the little touches that made it so welcoming and homey and the roominess the notebook with all the information was a great idea, we used it the first night! You must add POE's on Sullivan Island that was great and the best fish tacos! Susan you were great to work with and it was a pleasure doing the business end of it with you! Thank you for letting us bring our little Dooley with us, he enjoyed his visit also. Would LOVE to plan a trip next year with the grandkids! Thank you for your helpfulness and we had a great vacation, your area is lovely and we loved it. Thanks for the hospitality that you showed and we look forward to another visit!

  • We are happy to provide linens, including 1 bath towel/1 washcloth per person/ 3+ hand towels, , bath mats, and all bed linens at no extra charge, with the understanding that we use 100% cotton 300+ count and so will always have some linens that get suntan oil/accelerator/ shaving nick spot stained after 1st/2nd use. We toss any with large stains, but occasionally with 8+ loads after guests, a towel/sheet slips by with accelerator stain that gets darker with time and washing. We buy 4+ new sets a year of 100% cotton, and rotate those to have fresh on hand for cleanings, but cannot do new ones every stay and be reasonably priced. Some guests prefer to bring their own for maximum comfort. When guests used the outside linen service in the past, they got 50/50 poly/cotton very cheap sheets/towels, and were unhappy. Great first experience!

This was my first VRBO and we had a great time. We were able to bring our dogs which made the trip so much better. The place was nice and Susan was very accommodating with pricing and an issue that we had. I had read someone comment about it being older and out of date but the price was great and it really wasn't old. Not a newly renovated place but super clean and all that you need when you really don't spend much time there anyway. Thanks Susan!

Susan's home was perfect for the 6 of us. Close to the beautiful genuine Sullivan's Island, as well as a coterie of outstanding restaurants, and convenient to Charleston. The house was clean and cozy, the facilities were perfect, and I will certainly plan to stay there again.

I absolutely loved this townhome. It's in a perfect location and the inside is extremely clean.

The townhome was extremely homey and clean. When I walked in it had a very charming feel. The only downside I would say is the kitchen could use some upgrades and there was a baby roach in the bed, but it's summertime in the south so I know bugs are ineveitable. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation!

We spent the month of December 2016 at this townhouse. Susan was wonderful to work with, the townhouse was huge, and the location was superb! The corner of Mount Pleasant where this is located has a tourist/vacation feel to it as opposed to a congested, city feel. We were just down the road from Sullivans Island and going downtown Charleston also was a breeze. We spent a lot of time walking our dogs all over the neighborhood and beaches...thank you Susan for allowing us to bring them. Would definitely go back - can't beat the rates!
