Home Away from Home

What a lovely and spacious stay in Dublin. Quiet area and close to Dublin City Center. Cab service was amazing, would call, and usually within five minutes a cab arrived. We were all very pleased with the house, and I would rent it again. Plenty of room, and the yard outside was lovely. Such a nice neighborhood. Thank you to our host, Damien for always being a text away.

good location

Good location for visiting northern towns like Howth (very cute town) and 15 minutes away from Dublin Central; 10 minutes from the Dublin Airport. I stay at many vrbo's and expect certain things like a spotless house. Upon arrival at Damien's house, the trash cans were full and the fridge was full of food. Damien mentioned that it was his food and to help ourselves. This didn't feel right to me and my family and we found ourselves not wanting to eat dinners at all because the kitchen was too crowded with Damien's items. When paying as much as we did a night, I would expect a cleaner house, better towels and a real coffee maker. However, nonetheless, the bedrooms were quality and the beds were fine and the location was great.

Loved it!

Everything was as described. Very comfortable. Plenty of room for a large group. Good location to walk to a few places, close to the airport and not far from City Center by taxi. Lots of extra amenities. Fully stocked kitchen. Damien was great.

Wonderful guesthouse with easy access to Dublin

We rented the entire guesthouse for a family trip to celebrate my sister’s birthday. 8 of us - one Grandparent, two sets of parents, and three boys (aged 13,11 and 7) had plenty of space to spread out and rest after packed days of sightseeing. Communication with the owner was easy and access to the house was simple. The neighborhood was very quiet and close to the bus stop to Dublin, grocery and stores and pubs. We really enjoyed the Comet pub! Our only issue was that the dryer wasn’t working too well, so we had to dry small loads and use the hanging racks provided. But otherwise, the place was wonderful and we hope to be back!

Great or big groups.

The house is roomy and modern. A quiet, safe neighborhood. It served our group of 10 well. A few minor glitches especially with the hot water, and appliances. Homeowner was responsive quickly to any issues. Would have rated 5 star if there were some better instructions about how things work. Expensive Taxi/Uber to downtown. Close to the airport. Walk-able to one restaurant and pharmacy. A car would be handy.

Friends trip 2019- a group of 10 of us went! We had an amazing time in Ireland and ended in a wonderful home! Great location! The house was wonderful and Damien had extra food stocked so we didn’t have to go out of our way to get more things! Lots of bedrooms and space!!

Wonderful, large home in a quiet neighborhood

We loved this rental! More than enough space for our party of 7. Charming features with modern conveniences. Quiet suburban neighborhood that was only a 15 minute bus ride to the city center. Parking for 2 small cars in the driveway. Damien was a friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect place for 8 high school buddies 40 yrs ago.

Stayed five nights. 7 queen beds with plenty of bathrooms. Thought it might be a little Small for us but as it turns out plenty of room. All the bathrooms were brand new with great lighting. Great location for us. All the golf courses were within 30 min. Highly recommend this place.
