Creekside cabane en rondins niché entre les pins de la ville de l'Idaho

Charmante cabane en rondins, à 14 km de la ville d'Idaho sur la pittoresque route 21 dans la forêt nationale de Boise. Le ruisseau court devant la maison. Idéal pour les réunions ou les retraites. Beaucoup d'espace à l'extérieur pour installer des tentes supplémentaires. Sentiers de randonnée / vélo à proximité. Idaho City est à 10 minutes en voiture de la cabine. La plupart des nuits d'été permettent d'observer des étoiles spectaculaires. Si vous cherchez à vous déconnecter et à passer un week-end paisible à vous ressourcer dans la nature, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut. Accès facile depuis l'autoroute 21, pas besoin de 4 roues motrices.
La maison a été construite en 1937 et est située sur un terrain de 1,34 acres avec des pins tout autour. Foyer extérieur pour rôtir les fumées parfaites. Nombreuses places de parking. Entièrement meublé avec casseroles, poêles et ustensiles. Foyer au bois. Faire couler de l'eau chaude. 15 minutes de The Springs - Premier Hot Springs Retreat dans la ville d'Idaho, 1 heure et 40 minutes de Stanley, 45 minutes des sources chaudes de Lowman et Kirkham. What an absolutely beautiful property. We had a group of six and loved our weekend getaway. The property was clean, safe, well-appointed, fully-stocked, and so cozy! Exactly what we needed for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle.

Excellent Cabin

What a wonderful location, great accommodations! The owners were nothing but fantastic to deal with. Excellent location, they have clearly poured a lot into this property in heart and soul and we appreciated every bit of it. The outdoor patio was definitely a favorite of the group! Can’t say enough good things about this stay.

Great Vacation Getaway

Cabin was beautiful along with the scenery. Wifi wasn't great, but glad we didn't have any technology to take away from family time. Solar power was also tricky on the cloudy days. Overall we enjoyed our time and the outdoor patio was the favorite for the family

Great cabin

Several groups of friends came up for a quick weekend away. Cabin was everything we needed and more. We had 4 pickups and trailers and parking was a little tight but we made it work. Thanks for a beautiful place!

Cabin by the Creek

We enjoyed our stay here. All amenities were as described, so there were no surprises. The place was clean on our arrival. The yard and outdoor kitchen were the main attraction for all our activities, especially the foosball table. The surrounding area was great for walking and geo-caching. Idaho City is just a short drive and has some interesting shops and other activities. Great place to stay. Thanks

Dirt biking Trinity Mountains

Ten miles out of ID City seemed perfect, cabin is good shape for eighty years old, vary cozy. No issues with hot water at all. Figured out the power system didn't like the coffee maker and microwave and toaster running at the same time, no issues after we learned to conserve a bit. No TV was kind of nice. Huge grass covered yard, plenty of parking.

Family vacation

Not enough wash clothes, the water was cold in the shower. It only has solar power so the water never got hot. There were bugs, even in our beds, the comforters had stains on them. The cabin had mildew and wasn’t clean.

More comfortable than camping

It's important to understand that this is an old family cabin that's 100 years old, not somebody's vacation home. The improvements to the bathrooms and the fully functional kitchen make it super comfortable. I loved that it was on the obter side of the river from the highway and behind a gate. The river kept the highway noise down. The highway is a small two lane road but gets used often enough by recreationists There's a campground on the other r side of the river, but nobody was there so we didn't have any issues with noise from them either. The location is super convenient, far enough from town that it feels secluded but close enough to run in for water or dinner. Going the other direction, there are so many hiking trails nearby! I also loved the updated windows in the outside with the original, swing open windows in the inside. We opened out inner windows to get fresh air and listen to the creek thru the screens. Despite it's age, this is one of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed in. There is a lot of attention to detail. If I had to find fault with anything, it's that the water pressure is really low in the showers, but I was just greatful to have a shower so it didn't bother me. Use the shower upstairs, it heats up faster. The stove downstairs works really well, our dog loved curling up next to it. We also spent a lot of time sitting in the front porch while our dog explored the huge, beautiful yard. If we hike this area again, this would be our first choice.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

My wife and I were blown away by this cabin. Going from the desert to here felt like traveling to another planet. The property is private with every amenity you could want or need. The hosts were very quick with communication. 5 stars, would love to rent again!

We are a family that was lucky enough to purchase this property in 2017. My dad and brother are extremely talented when it comes to fixing and building things so each year with the money we make on the property we try to do upgrades to the space. When it is not booked by guests, we enjoy coming up to the cabin with friends and relaxing or working on projects.

How far away is the cabin from Idaho City? From Boise Airport?
From Idaho City - 14 minutes by car.
From Boise Airport - 1 hour by car.

What is there to do on site?
There is a forest service road a half mile past the cabin where you can take ATV’s or hike. There are a lot of other hiking trails around the cabin and near Idaho City. We suggest you download the “All Trails” app and search for different hikes. There is a creek that runs in front of the property. We have seen people fish there.

What is the power source?
The primary source is solar power. We recommend you don’t plan to plug in any items that consume too much electricity like an AC Unit or heaters. The solar power operates all of the lighting, plug-ins, and refrigerator and the daily production and storage is 10 kwh. The stove and water heater are operated by propane. We also have a backup generator if the solar power doesn’t collect enough power on cloudy days.

What kind of kitchen amenities are available?
Frying pan, baking sheet, large stock pot, crock pot, microwave, knives, forks, spoons, washcloths, spatulas, dishwashing detergent, (no dishwasher), fridge, freezer, salt, pepper, sugar

What kind of grill is available?
Propane and charcoal. There is propane on site but if you want to use the charcoal grill, bring charcoal, we don’t have any available.

The fireplace isn’t lighting, what do I do?
Make sure all windows are closed and the wood is dry and you are using kindling. In the back of the house there is a large wooden container full of kindling.

Do you allow early check-in/late check-out?
Check with us the day before your check in and if no one is staying there before you and our cleaner has cleaned it in time, you can check in early. If we don’t have anyone staying the next day, we may be able to allow for late check-out.

Do you have internet reception?
We provide Satellite wifi and we have used it to search the internet, check email, and conduct Zoom calls without a problem, but it doesn't work well when trying to make phone calls using a cell phone. If you call on FB messenger, WhatsApp or other apps it works.

Are there fans or AC available?
We have fans but no AC. Most of the time it cools off in the night so it is not necessary.

Can I drink the water from the tap?
We recommend you bring bottled water for drinking. We do use the water for cooking, showering, brushing teeth.

Why isn’t the hot water turning on in the bathroom?
It takes a little while for the hot water to go through the pipes and get to the bathroom. The upstairs shower gets hot water sooner than the downstairs one.
