Nice big house on a mountain, with a great view of the surrounding landscape. The location is very bright and sunny. Possible to spot northern lights through the big windows at night.
The house is fully equipped, well planned with large spaces - all on ground floor. You can park the car just a couple of meters outside the entrance. There is a garden just outside the kitchen with a very sunny location.
From the house you can easily reach the 2 main roads in the region - E45 and E10. They can take you to popular destinations over day like - Jokkmokk, Sarek, Kvikkjokk, Kiruna, Abisko, Jukkasjärvi, Karesuando, Finland Haparanda, and the costal area (Luleå / Kalix).
The regions 2 main airports, Luleå and Kiruna, are about 2 hours away. They have good rental car deals with pickup and leave at the airport.
In the winter there is a popular ski resort with an early season start - Dundret, about 35 minutes away in Gällivare.
The nearby region has a rich history. The historical Sami village - Sjokksjokk once operated here. The region has many historical traces from that period, especially showing in the names. There are still a lot of reindeer and herders in the surrounding forests.
If you like fishing after trout, arctic char, grayling, salmon etc. then this is a good place. There are 2 rivers below the house. A short drive away is the Sotaure location, with many fine lakes, crystal clear water and just a couple of hundred meters in between the lakes.

Wir haben das Objekt in eine guten Zustand vorgefunden, es war schön warm zu dieser jahreszeit. Wir haben an keinen Tag gefroren und haben bis -29 Grad gehabt. Das Fernsehgerät hatte nicht den vorstellungen entsprochen war nur im digitalen Bereich, es gab keine anderen Sender .

Traumhafte Lage mit tollem Ausblick

Schönes großes Haus mit viel Platz. Das beste ist der Ausblick vom Wohn und Esszimmer. Man kann mit viel Glück Schneehase und Rehe im Garten beobachten.

Nice house, great views, but smell of cigarette smoke is overwhelming

This is a great house with plenty of space with great views from the large windows. It has everything you need, including bed linen and towels. The owner communicated very well and was very responsive and helpful. A big negative was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the house. The smell was everywhere and in everything. All bed linen stinks, so do towels, curtains and other fabrics. The owner suggested to open the door and windows to get rid of the smell but that did not help at all. The only way to get rid of it is professionally clean the entire house. After two weeks all our clothes and even our hair smelled of cigarette smoke (and yes, we did shower every day ;-) I would come back here, but not before it is thoroughly cleaned.

Lage und Preis sind bestens. Kleinigkeiten könnten mal renoviert werden. Bei minus Graden ist es schwer alles warm zu halten.

Rummelig og pæn ren. Manglede lidt finish. Der var en fin udsigt og vi oplevede nordlyset.

Vi ville nok ikke vælge den igen på denne årstid. Vi havde svært ved at holde varmen trods udlejers forsøg på at afhjælpe problemerne. Det kom til at fylde for meget i vores ferie.

You get a free, open air feeling about this house. It is not hidden in the woods or something. Instead you will look towards the horizon and let the surrounding sink in. Sunny summer days the property really bathes in light. I have travelled a lot in this area, and stayed at many rental houses. This house is a couple of levels up compared to those.

Very centrally located in Norrbotten / Sapmi, which opens up for travel in all directions. Variation is thus the keyword.
There are 2 big rivers just below the house where salmon rises. The nearby area is full of historical Sami names. The summer is truly amazing with both midnight sun and often very good temperatures for the area, which can give a really exotic feel. The winter with dark, clear, cold nights, northern lights and the sky full with stars above your head is another great experience. All seasons of the year has something special to offer.
You can reach alpine regions, forest landscapes, and costal regions, neighbouring countries, and smaller cities (Luleå in mind) within hours. Gällivare town is just some 35 minutes away with modern shopping malls etc if you want that for a variation some days.
You need a car to enjoy this place fully.
