Casa del árbol en las montañas de Santa Cruz, secoyas, playas y Silicon Valley

Ubicado en una catedral de Old Growth Redwoods en 72 acres de las montañas de Santa Cruz, esta casa en el árbol es única, para los tranquilos amantes de la naturaleza. Techos altos y luces de cuerda solar. escalera de caracol de roble te lleva a tu "nido", una cama tamaño queen con sábanas y almohadas frescas. Bajando las escaleras hay un pequeño porche con un comedor bistro para tomar vino de una bodega local mientras contempla el estanque iluminado por la luna y el prado, la luz moteada de los árboles.
También había un gran futón y una otomana en la sala de estar bajando las escaleras, una biblioteca de libros viejos y recogidos dispuestos en varios estantes. 300 pies cuadrados. cerca de varias rutas de senderismo.
Los avistamientos de vida silvestre han incluido ciervos, halcones rojos, búhos (especialmente en la noche), lindos lagartijas azules, pavos salvajes y pavos reales, entre muchos otros animales más tímidos como zorros, tortugas, koi, y rara vez (si tenemos re lucky) Bobcat.

Cerca de todo, Silicon Valley y Santa Cruz tienen hermosos restaurantes, música en vivo, cata de vinos y parques estatales (Big Basin y Henry Cowell) para increíbles caminatas y eventos. San Francisco, Monterey está a una hora en coche fácil hacia el norte y hacia el sur.

Vintage Clawfoot bañera / ducha bajo un dosel de ramas de secuoyas y Laurel Bay, arces dan un nuevo significado a "bañera de hidromasaje". Agua instantánea y abundante agua PRIMAVERA ..... La bañera / ducha Vintage Clawfoot está bajo las estrellas en un recinto privado de Redwood con una puerta de cierre. La puerta tiene una pequeña señal que se cuelga en el exterior cuando Bathtub está en uso, por Privacidad. ¡Esta área es compartida solo por otra Cottage, que por lo general está ocupada por una dulce pareja o una sola persona!
Toda la iluminación, tanto interior como exterior, es de energía solar o con batería. Tenemos una estación de carga de teléfono celular / dispositivo, si es necesario ...

It was nice! Beautifully crafted treehouse with a nice outdoor shower tub. Learnijg of the historic and instrinsic value at the nearby Chalet made it more fun to be there. I enjoyed the redwood tree views offered from every window view. Thank you George Rabe for the great stay.

Beautiful nature retreat. We saw deer and wild turkeys on the property. Easy drive to downtown Los Gatos, Santa Cruz/Soquel. Very easy communication with the host.

Very unique experience. My (adult) son and I really enjoyed our stay. The tree house is very clean and comfortable. We wanted some time to completely disconnect from the world and this was definitely the answer. Highly recommend.

Everything was great! So relaxing and zen. The pictures were exactly what we experienced. I thought it might be dirty and lots of bugs, but it was the exact opposite! Even sitting by the pond late afternoon toward dusk, no bugs. It got cold at night and the bed was comfy and cozy with wonderful blankets and waking up to the view of trees all around was spectacular. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Loved the beautiful property and the unique setting. It's a "glamping" experience with a comfy bed to sleep at night. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.George was an excellent host and always responded quickly when we had any questions.

What a lovely property. I stayed in early March- Chilly! Space heaters provided and amazing electric blankets which @ this time of year were needed.Loved the tub, perfect space for 1 or a couple. Really serene and peaceful- thank you!

Fantastic, but pay attention to the details

This property is as close as you can get to redwoods and be inside. It’s quite magical. Driving in on the driveway splashed with green boughs is sublime, as is the smell.I think the description and pics are pretty good, but it's worth knowing out a few things:- You probably can't communicate electronically to the host or anyone else when you're actually there - no reception or wifi.- The bed is as cozy as it looks.- Watching the deer graze in the meadow is pretty nice.- The bathroom really only has hanging bamboo "door" so not super private. But the sink and toilet are nice and new.- The open-air tub is a few hundred feet away and collects a bit of grime and hadn't been cleaned that day, but it didn't bother me because I just used the hand shower. I assume there is hot water but I used cold.- I think the Kirkland shampoo makes my hair really soft.- There's no insulation and little heat (per the pics). There's a string of purple lights downstairs I couldn't turn off but it didn't bother me because I'm not that light sensitive.- The water is untreated so bring drinking water if you're not adventurous like that.- The vehicle gate needs a touch of oomph to open, and watch your feet for the extended wheels. Should be fine for most people. There is a short drive at the end on wood chips but it is well-maintained. It adds to the atmosphere.I would be sure to ask about anything you're not sure about. For me it was exactly what I expected.

Great Getaway!!

This was such a great little place! Very cozy and unique. Only issue was the heat- it wasn’t insulated and it got pretty warm. But nothing that fan they provided couldn’t handle. My fiance and I really enjoyed and made use if the the outdoor shower and tub! All in all a REALLY cool space and place to stay! Unique experience!!

Perfect Respite....

A huge thank you to George for a wonderful stay! This was a welcome respite from a hectic city life. Although chilly (for me) in December/January, George was extremely communicative about bringing cozy clothes. The heating pad on the bed is brilliant as it allowed for longer than normal morning's in bed... listening to the birds and enjoying peering out the window at the trees. Thank you again for providing and maintaining this special space for us to enjoy! I'll be back in the Spring + Summer!

Romantic Nature Getaway

My partner and I enjoyed a long weekend in this secluded mountain woods treehouse. While no shower or central air was unfamiliar at first, the outdoor tub and natural shade made for a very refreshing retreat.

Best Staycation EVER

If you are looking for a getaway, then this is the BEST place. Granted, it is winter, and it was COLD, but in the most amazing way. This house is beautiful and feels almost magical. With the large pond and deer and wild turkeys roaming in the field in front you don't feel like you're so close to the city. There was also a post about the land and restoration upon entering the driveway that was so cool. I would definitely recommend bringing a power strip to be able to charge multiple phones and extra blankets if you are going during a cold season. We layered on the blankets and clothes and were fine. We will definitely be booking again during each season to get a different experience. This is definitely a GEM and we LOVED it!

Hidden Gem

If you watched Swiss Family Robinson as a kid...well this is as close as I have even gotten to staying in a tree house like that!! It was so cozy and romantic for our honeymoon trip. It was secluded but very close to amenities. It was so cool to sleep in the redwoods. Nice touches throughout.

Very Nice & Cozy

This place is so cute and cozy. It was so quiet and peaceful. Great place to get away and be alone. They provide lanterns and battery candles that I was so grateful for. It gets really dark! I would stay here again.

This was my third stay within 6 months. Each time I have enjoyed the beauty and solitude ... Although I am retired, I still need a getaway for r&r and this place is perfect for me. Love it here!

Love the treehouse and surrounding property, but ...

Although I love being in the treehouse and enjoying the surrounding property and wildlife (deer and wild turkeys), one of the bed covers/blankets had some small twigs clinging to it. Also, I would enjoy spending time by the pond, but both times I have stayed ... the pond has been completely covered by scum/algae.
