Welcome to Lil Negril Cottage at Casas de Tierra Jamaica — a cozy one-bedroom cottage tucked toward the back of our lush property in Runaway Bay, St. Ann.

Designed for couples, solo travelers, and anyone looking for a simple Jamaican getaway with character, Lil Negril offers a more intimate stay surrounded by tropical greenery, colorful flowers, palms, and fruit trees. You'll have your own private cottage while enjoying access to the shared pool and the natural beauty of the property.

Lil Negril is a cozy 1-bedroom retreat designed with a rustic, natural aesthetic. The cottage features distinctive earthen-style walls, locally inspired finishes, and handcrafted touches made with reclaimed materials.

The design embraces an indoor-outdoor feel, allowing you to enjoy the tropical surroundings while still having a comfortable space to relax, recharge, and make yourself at home.

More Than Just a Place to Sleep

What makes Casas de Tierra different is the setting. Rather than a conventional hotel or resort, you're staying on a small tropical property with three individual cottages, each offering its own sense of privacy and character.

Spend time by the shared pool, enjoy the gardens, watch the palms move in the breeze, or simply take in the changing colors and sounds of the property throughout the day.

When available, seasonal fruits and vegetables from our home garden may also be available for guests to enjoy.

A Jamaican Stay With Character

The cottages at Casas de Tierra were created with an appreciation for natural and reclaimed materials. Local soil and stone are incorporated into the earthen finishes, while repurposed wood has been transformed into handcrafted furniture and other details throughout the property.

It's rustic, authentic, and intentionally different from a typical hotel stay.

Rustic Peaceful and Pleasurable Stay

I enjoyed my stay. The property is just as advertised. It's affordable for longer stays and you have everything that you need. It's just off 9mile so you're able to get to all the fun spots easily. Some reviews mentioned road noise which is true but after the first night I was acclimated to it and it did not bother me at all. Ac works well, kitchen has all that you need including a roll of paper towel to start you off and a new dish sponge. There is also a sink by the cottage where you can hand wash your clothes if needed. There is a line outside to hang your clothes. Refrigerator works well, bathroom is clean and modern, hot water worked well and did not run out either. I would definitely stay again. Just respect the rules and the property as this is the owners actual residence.

The Cottage at Casas de Tierra, being my very first time in Runaway Bay Cardiff Hall. Not knowing the area at all nor knowing where my sister in law lived in Cardiff Hall. Ended up my being in the right place! Which was within a short walking distance to her home. This unexpected bonus made visiting my family even more memorable for me. Marlene and Francine were exceptional hosts, and I thank both of you so so much. The fresh fruits that you provided from your tree's were an excellent tasty bonus too. Nothing better than fresh from the source top notch! Plenty of walking which I personally like to do, places to see by taxi or bus service as well. My vacation was most important to me because I got to finally meet my wife's family, my family too. I love Jamaica my home away from home I cannot wait to come back to see my family, my Jamaica. One Love!!! Marlene thank you for your suggestions on places to see, things to do when not seeing my family. I would recommend Casas de Tierra to anyone, well worth it! I will be back and stay at Casas de Tierra again definitely.

What we enjoy most is the combination of convenience and character—you can head out to explore, grab a bite to eat, or spend the day at the beach, then return to our lush tropical property filled with palms, flowers, and fruit trees.
