Acerca de este alojamiento
Sweeping Ocean Views in Cape Elizabeth Maine
See, smell, and hear the ocean from this 1901 fully renovated Cape Elizabeth cottage with sweeping water views throughout the architect owned and designed house.
6 bedrooms, 3 full baths, sleeps up to 14. House is 2200 square feet on two levels plus an unfinished basement with great outdoor space -- front porch, side deck, and master balcony all overlooking the Casco Bay, plus lovely front and backyards.
This is a wonderful property with unobstructed views of Cushing Island and Ram Island Ledge Lighthouse. Steps away from secluded Cliff House Beach.
Walking distance to Fort Williams, the Portland Headlight, the Cookie Jar, Rosemont Market, Terra Cotta Pasta, the famed Scratch Bakery, and Willard Beach. Just a 9 minute drive to Portland and a 20 minute drive to the Portland Jetport. This house is the ideal location for making memories with family and friends.
Main level of the home:
-- Front porch -- the most beloved "room" of the house. New polywood couches and chairs with ottomans. Watch the sailboats, lobster boats, ferries, sun glisten on the water, and lighthouses shine.
-- Cozy living room with gas fireplace, original antique wood floors, and exposed beams. Leads to a smaller side room and out to the deck.
-- Open concept sunny kitchen/dining room with white shaker cabinets and gorgeous white quartz countertops that has a large peninsula with counter seating for 6 and a dining table that seats 8.
-- Two bedrooms with queen beds and tasteful and comfortable bedding. Both bedrooms have new Shades of Light ceiling fans.
-- Full bathroom with a pedestal sink and a shower/tub combination.
-- Deck with full ocean view is perfect for family meals on a beautiful Maine day. It has a brand new dining table with seating for 10-12.
2nd Level:
-- Master bedroom with brand new king-sized Pottery Barn bed, bedside tables, and his and hers closets. Bed faces a wall of windows and French doors with a stunning view of the Casco Bay. You may have trouble getting out of bed in the morning! The French doors lead to a balcony with new polywood white rocking chairs where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of family life! Master bathroom is ensuite with carrara marble tiled shower (with a water view!) with a new glass shower door, a Pottery Barn double sink vanity with carrara marble counter and a large dresser. Central A/C and ceiling fan.
-- Spacious and sunny corner room with two extra long twin sized beds with new bedding, a brand new sectional that pulls out to a queen sized bed, and a smart TV. Amazing views! Central A/C.
-- Lovely bedroom with two white iron twin beds, antique dresser and side table overlooking the backyard. Brand new bedding. Central A/C and ceiling fan.
-- Quaint bedroom with antique mahogany twin beds overlooking the backyard. Tasteful bedding. Central A/C and ceiling fan.
-- Full bathroom with Pottery Barn vanity with a carrara marble top and a tub/shower.
-- Large capacity washer and dryer in hallway with exposed brick.
Ample linens, towels and beach towels are provided. There are two kayaks in the garage that you are welcome to use, as well as beach chairs and an umbrella. Also provided is a gas grill and a lobster pot.

Both the house and its location are extremely special.

Preguntas frecuentes
Acerca de su propietario/a
Propietario/a: Lauren Noyes
For over 25 years, my family and I have been visiting Maine. We began our trips to Maine renting on VRBO, but we loved the Portland area so much that we decided to buy a house. We rented all over the area to discover which town we liked best and wherever we were, we found ourselves heading to Cape Elizabeth. For over a decade, we searched for the right home and finally found this 1901 house overlooking the Casco Bay at Cliff House Beach. To this day, if you ask us if we'd rather live in one of the mansions along Shore Road, all of us would say, "No!" We feel so incredibly blessed with this very special spot. When we bought the house, it had not been renovated in many years, so my architect husband worked with talented local contractors to renovate the entire home and literally take off the roof to expand the second floor. This home was designed to host the generations and we LOVE to share it with others who can also be refreshed, inspired, and welcomed by this slice of heaven.
Por qué escogió este alojamiento
We chose this seaside neighborhood due to its amazing views, mere steps to the beach, walkability to the Cookie Jar, Scratch Bakery, Rosemont Market, loads of restaurants and breweries, Fort Williams and the Portland Headlight, and much more. It is at the border of Cape Elizabeth and South Portland, so it is just 9 minutes from Portland and all that this thriving foodie town has to offer. It is 20 minutes from the Portland International Jetport with non-stop flights to Washington DC, where we live much of the year. It literally has the best of all worlds -- nature, city, and convenience.
Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial
Over the years, I have had many people offer to buy this house. We never plan to sell it. This is truly a generational house that welcomes individuals and families into the beauty, rest, and adventure of Maine.
