Hey Debra. I'm so sorry about the stairs! I check them each time I go there but I guess one came loose. With the three teenage boys running up and down the stairs had a lot to do with it. I am glad they enjoyed their vacation. The excess material around the house is leftover from the flood from hurricane Florence. It is out of the way and behind the house but with the boys running all around I'm sure you were concerned. I work hard to provide a nice place for my guests, and when I get a bad review, it takes a large number of good reviews to get my average back up. I appreciate your feedback and I will address the items you mentioned.

Thanks guys! Glad y'all enjoyed the peace and quite! Sorry you thought it was waterfront. Clear run pork center should have had all the groceries you needed and family dollar, Melvin's for beer and wine, and subway, all within five miles should have met your needs. Wal mart was only half hour away. Enjoyed our conversations! Hope y'all get a chance to come back when y'all have time to hang around and enjoy the river! Come back anytime! And thanks for leaving our place clean!

Wow Jodie. I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. This place is in the woods as stated and remote means it's peaceful like I state. The river can be viewed when the leaves are gone. The yard is in disarray because of the flooding this year and I've not been able to get there and clean up because people keep booking (and leaving great reviews). I work hard to keep my rating and one bad review like this sets me back for months and costs me lots of money from lost bookings. Please think about this on your next stay and be sure and read the listings carefully so you won't be surprised when it's not like you imagine. Hosts work hard and reviews mean a lot to them. Please don't destroy their hard work with an upset review.

It seems as though I think I have met the nicest people and then a family like Johanna and Chuck prove me wrong! Have been hosting Saving Grace for almost a year now and this family rates as one of the best! I just love hosting people that can enjoy what we have been enjoying for the last 18 years.
