The perfect stay

This place was absolutely beautiful! Loved the rustic farmhouse! My kids loved the chickens. Would absolutely love to stay here again next year when we come back! Patti was available for anything we needed and communicated that with us multiple times.

Perfect Spot

This place is just perfect! We are from out of town working in the Lansing area. This location is perfect for larger groups. The host Patti has been so great and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.

A great getaway!

Patti's farm is great for a nice weekend getaway. The house/property had more than enough room for us, and the chickens & horses roaming around were a great added bonus! Patti is more than accommodating, and extremely attentive. Awesome place!

The best and worse part of having a vacation rental is you get people coming in for short stays for an awesome variety of seminars and activities.... some are people that you may only talk to briefly... yet wish they would come back again before they leave. Graduation Weekend

We stayed here to celebrate my son's graduation from MSU. There was plenty of space for everyone and the host was very accommodating and friendly. It was close enough to campus for us to go back and forth.

Great weekend!

We really enjoyed staying at this property for our girls getaway! It was quiet and peaceful and the house was great. Patti, the property manager, is great to work with. She was very attentive to anything we needed.

MSU Football Weekend Trip

A few of my friends and I came back to the East Lansing area to go to a MSU football game. The farm house had a lot of beds and was about a 15 minute drive from campus, which is just what we needed. We had a great time.

This is a mid 1800's farmhouse, although the house has been renovated, uneven floors and quirky layouts of how the house grew in 150 years adds to its charm. The great thing is as it was built to house large families, it is great for guests in groups who like to slip in and go to their event and leave with little interaction with others.

Relaxing farm house with lots of space!

Great place to stay to have a get together, family reunion, work party, or just relax for the weekend. Horses on the property that you can pet, chickens that roam around (which guests love!), and just surrounded by nature! Less than 10 mins from food. Host is great and very communicative and wants to make your stay the best she can.

Softball get a way

Get away.

We stayed at this property for the National trap shooting compition. We were minutes away. Good location and the property was as described. Patty was fun to talk to and a good host. Very relaxing and informative.

Relaxing and peaceful

We so enjoyed our stay. It was a quick trip to celebrate our sons birthday and attend an MSU football game. The location was great and Patti was a fabulous host from the time we made our reservation, until we left. Any question or request was answered within minutes. The old farm house was peaceful and we were able to all play games and sit around a campfire at night. I was just an ideal setting that allowed us to be together as a family.

Family Get together

We traveled to Michigan from out of state for a family wedding. With 9 in our group ranging in age from 2 - 80 this was a wonderful place to stay! The little ones were able to be themselves while others were able to relax. You can take a walk since it is located in the country. We were able to have extended family over for coffee and donuts and visit in the large dining area. We stayed for 4 days and it became affectionately referred to as 'Grandma's Farm'!

Very convenient spot for our event

We didn’t spent a lot of time at the house but our only kinda issues were 13 people playing a sport & all needing to shower at the end of the day with only 1 shower & it took a while to get the house warmed up when we got there. It was a very charming old farmhouse though & was comfortable once it was warmed up. Patti was great about being available if we needed anything

We would like to think that magical experiences happen here, but to have extra showers appearing just because someone wanted to add more people to their group, seems a bit unrealist and hence why we do cap the limit of how many people can stay in the house. The house has baseboard electric heaters with thermostats on the walls that you can adjust. It doesn't take long for the main rooms to heat up after you turn them on. The email they received weeks before told them where they could buy wood for the wood stove, they didn't bring any and said they wanted to use some of mine, Being Thanksgiving Day, I gave them more than enough for one night and started the fire for them and showed them how to use it. They came back a couple hours later and took all but a couple pieces of wood I cut for my holiday weekend. I have no clue how they could go through that much wood. Too many 4 stars we can lose our premier partnership ranking. We don't need your booking, if you have to make up silly reasons to downgrade our service.

Charming and incredibly relaxing stay at the bunkhouse

We stayed at the bunkhouse from Christmas day until New Years Eve in 2018 and it was EVERYTHING we hoped it would be. The bunkhouse is a charming, rustic farmhouse that is comfortable and cozy. When we arrived, Ms Patti had the house entirely decorated for Christmas with lights on the outside, decor in the windows and a full Christmas tree. She even made fresh pastries for our arrival. Coffee in the morning by the wood-burning stove was a special treat! Our kids LOVED sleeping in the room with the four beds, and they were OVER THE MOON about being able to pet horses, feed chickens and pick up fresh eggs in the coup. What an experience! Thank you Ms Patti for a wonderful stay! Cheers!

Great place and host

Patti’s place was great for our group of MSU alumni reuniting for a football game! Plenty of room and great location plus great touches by Patti

Hi I'm Patti, after purchasing this farm and tearing off the layers of flooring and wall coverings, we found a very amazing place that we wanted to share with YOU! Before a serious horse accident in 2006, I spent a lot of time on the road. So I wanted to create a space that travelers could feel at home and really relax. It’s out in the country were you can listen to the tree frogs sing you to sleep or birds wake you up in the morning. I love my horses and I love helping grow businesses and marketing so with this new farm I'm combining all my passions together.

Within the first 13 months of Hosting we received the Metric Ranking of #1 ~ of 140+ properties!!!

We aren't looking to be the lowest price place on this site. But we do promise to do our best to give you a great experience!! We have had groups extend their stays and several return for another visit within this short period of time since we started.
Come Visit!! We look forward to meeting YOU! If you are coming for a longer stay contact us if your budget is a little tight, No promises but it never hurts to ask!

I used to say, there is nothing glamorous about a hotel room after the first few nights. So do something a little different. Spread out more, have your own kitchen, open up the windows feel the country breeze instead of just air conditioning. (yes we do have air conditioning units, but they aren't needed but only a few weeks of the year if that). You don't have to spend time finding a store, as we have a service that will deliver your groceries at your convenience. Bringing the family, when was the last time they stayed at a place they were able to see young horses playing in the yard next to them.

Whether you are coming into the area for a family event or several families going to an out-of-town sporting event, why stay at a hotel when you can really relax and enjoy each others company in a unique stay in the country. Count the stars at night, have some-mores by the campfire. If you and your friends are coming in for a get away or MSU, many guests use Lift and Uber services. We are only 6 miles from MSU pavilion.
