Encantadora cabaña de carácter con vistas panorámicas.

Esta casa de campo con una ubicación única consta de una planta baja de dos niveles que incorpora una cocina equipada con barra de desayuno. Se accede a la sala de estar bien presentada desde un pasillo interno, desde el cual se encuentra el baño de la planta baja que tiene una ducha eléctrica sobre una bañera de tamaño generoso. La sala de sol / comedor se encuentra a través de puertas francesas desde la sala de estar, todos con cómodos asientos para relajarse. Arriba hay 2 dormitorios, 1 doble y 1 doble, un pequeño armario de ventilación que alberga la caldera también está en este piso. Una nueva cocina equipada está fuera del nuevo hall de entrada a la izquierda y a la derecha está el acceso a una nueva habitación de la cama doble en la planta baja con baño privado. Todas las habitaciones de esta encantadora cabaña tienen magníficas vistas al mar y es un lugar fantástico para unas vacaciones en la playa y / o una base para explorar la fabulosa costa de Pembrokeshire y todas sus muchas atracciones. Pendine cuenta con una maravillosa playa de 7 millas y es mundialmente famosa por sus intentos de récord de velocidad en tierra, un museo en el pueblo está dedicado a su famosa historia. El municipio de Laugharne, famoso por su conexión con Dylan Thomas y su Boathouse, está a solo 6,4 km.

Absolutely the most beautiful view, couldn’t wait to wake up early to enjoy the view.Access to the beach through the garden ( a steep garden) so not really suitable for very young children .

Best house by the beach

We had a really good week at this house, the location overlooking the beach is amazing and the house itself is very comfortable and roomy for our family.

I was very poorly on arrival with long term kidney disease/failure and I had a man twice in first 3 days at the door requesting I contact the host so I did I explained that I had been so poorly I was going to have to go to hospital that day and I was asked if I could let the cleaners in on Friday 3 days ahead and pay 25 for them as she was having a viewing to sell the property on Saturday at 11am and could I vacate the premises for two hours and her estate agent had a key. I was flabbergasted as I had booked a month with possibly a second month as I was looking at properties myself and she had not mentioned that let alone to be having viewings. I had my son collect my dog and grab my suitcase with some clothes for me and I contacted the host two days later asking her why I couldn’t get in the property and she said because I had left such a mess by sleeping in all of the beds in the house I had paid for the entire property and I had used and adjust to much gas . I was so angry but still to poorly so I went home asking for a a refund and all my belongings locked in the house to be sent to me and I was told no and received neither. I am going ahead with actually suing them and I am currently working with a solicitor. Awful worst experience and human being I’ve ever come across. Steer clear! The house was stunning but you just get robbed.

Wow, what an amazing place! We have admired this house for several years when visiting Pendine and didn’t realise you could rent it! We stayed here for a week during the summer holidays as a family of 6 (5 adults, 1 child and a dog) and loved every minute. Gaynor was a lovely host, very thoughtful and responded to queries promptly. She also sent us some useful tips, not only for our stay but what’s around the area. We were provided with a welcome pack and the house had lots of equipment, even a wide range of cleaning essentials. You will never experience a better view than this, we had some wonderful sunrise and sunsets from here and the sound of the sea was so relaxing. The only downside is the road to get to it (which was advertised and explained) It is very narrow which will just about fit one car and not a proper road. If you aren’t confident at driving or unable to walk well, this may not be the place for you. There is a walkway down the garden which brings you out at the side of the Springwell inn and you can then get straight onto the beach. We really loved our stay. Thank you again Gaynor, we hope we can stay another time.

Fabulous house and location

Really enjoyed our week at Gorse Hill. The house exceeded our expectations, it’s spacious, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. Comfy beds, good shower and excellent WiFi connection. The views from almost all windows, and especially the dining/sun room are spectacular. A great centre to explore the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire area.

beautiful view in a special holiday home

The view is amazing. Right on the beach with a view of the promenade. We were able to sit undisturbed on the "terrace" and watch the crowds on the beach. At night we could hear the waves. The house is very simple - but we weren't expecting luxury. We did think the kitchen was great though - everything was there and modern and functional with a dishwasher and washing machine. A very nice holiday!

Spectacular location

We were not disappointed, beautiful elevated position, to watch the tide come and go, was amazing, the house was comfortable and had great views in most rooms. Quite a steep incline from the beach followed by 14 or so steps but nothing two over 70 year olds could not deal with. Although very few eating out places the food in the local pub was great. We would highly recommended Gorse Hill !

Nice view

Lovely view, nice cottage. Not good on wet days when having to walk up grassed hill to cottage with only a railing halfway up when you come to the steps part. Some health and safety needs looking at inside cottage had a few incidents happening our stay.

Best location ever!

We stayed in this really charming, and well equipped holiday home in the May half-term. My family and I had an amazingly enjoyable and relaxing holiday in this beautiful place. Pendine was lovely. We had lovely days chilling out and rock pooling on the beach. Having morning and evening swims/paddles, and lovely walks through the surrounding area. All my boys were entertained aged 5, 9, 16 and 18. We had a lovely day out walking around Laugharne, and a shopping/sightseeing trip to Tenby. Both were fantastic and enjoyed by all too. The star factor of the holiday is the location of the property, and the spectacular views. We hope to return.

Ideal spot and fantastic view

Gorse hill is an ideal spot for totally relaxed vacations - everything is as shown on the photos. The house is very spacious, comfortable, calm, clean and really well equipped. We found every thing that was promised - plus a welcome bottle of fine wine, milk and bread - Thank you! An Information folder delivered every Information we needed (incl. a timetable for the tide and one for the bus) - so we felt at home from the first moment. The highlight is the superb view - we admired it in the early morning, during the day or in the evening... The region is ideal for walking as there are numerous very interesting (though sometimes strenuous) sections of the Pembrokeshire coastal path within one hours drive or even by bus - and one directly starting at the garden door.. We had an amazing week! We loved our stay so much, even the 4 teens! And dogs! The area is fantastic, the view from the house amazing! And listening and watching the ocean from the patio was just perfect. The garden was brilliant, our dogs were in their element. All amenities were at the bottom of the garden, including an old school pub which did such good home cooked food, we ate there 3 times and daily popped in for a drink. The staff were excellent! The weather we got was mixed from wet/windy to glorious sunshine and still fantastic. The Cliff walks were great, we were all in the sea every day with the paddle boards/kayaks/body boards. It was so relaxing and perfect. The kids met locals the same age who took them cliff jumping and exploring! All the locals were extremely friendly and helpful! The Chinese was delicious, the bistro was fab with live music and cocktails. The cafe by the pit stop shop also had great food! We only ventured out one day along the coast road through the beautiful seaside hamlets to Tenby & then popped in Heatherton Activities Centre which was well priced & excellent for a variety of ages! It was so relaxing and I’m so pleased we decided to not go abroad or to Cornwall! Gaynor was very attentive & an exceptional host. So grateful to her! Thank you for making us fall in love with the area & with wales! We can’t wait to revisit! ❤️ The only thing that would of made it better would be a king size bed & thicker duvet downstairs!

Perfect location - lovely cottage

What a lovely house in a quiet idyllic location! The views from the conservatory (our favourite room) are absolutely stunning. In the evening, it was such a pleasure to sit and watch the picturesque beach of Pendine and seaside. (We have been lucky enough to watch the Fireworks for the Jubilee Celebrations from the cottage, we probably had the best spot in the village). The cottage is spacious, comfortable, well equipped and has everything you might need. (even for cooking) . We could not have asked for more. Our little ones loved the place from the minute they walked through the door. They were also so pleased to find the books, teddies and board games. (and the TV in their bedroom). We also had a TV in the main bedroom and downstairs! The cottage is very close from the beach, the main street and the shops which was perfect for us! The nearest pub / restaurant is really good for families, we’ve enjoyed a nice meal and the portions are big. There were also some good takeaways (the pizza one especially) which was convenient. Even on rainy days, we’ve been to an adventure park called Folly Farm, and really you can spend the whole day there, on top of a zoo, farm animal and a lot more, they have an Indoor Funfair (we went back again on another rainy day, was half price if you went back again during the same week)! I was blown away by the size of it. On a sunny day, Tenby is worth visitng and Pendine beach is so beautiful, we have done so long walks there. We had a Coastal Path very close from the house, we only went for a short stroll with the children but already had spectacular panoramic views. Worth exploring! The people in Pendine are really friendly and welcoming. We might not have had the best weather but we have certainly had a fantastic time and are planning to come back to go and visit the places we wanted to explore. (Also really wanted to go on a seal and wildlife spotting boat tour) We would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you Gaynor, this is truly an amazing place.

Clifftop location

A fabulous location and a really super property with lots of nice touches. Best restaurants are in Saundersfoot (especially the Stone Crab if you can get in!). Easy access to the beach and lovely long beach walks when the MOD red flags are not flying. Spent lots of time on the patio with a cold drink enjoying the view.

The best location in Pendine

This is a fabulous property in the number 1 location in Pendine. The pub, shops and beach are seconds from the house. The house is peculiar but very spacious. It isn't very modern but extremely functional with loads of space. Gaynor was really helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We loved our stay at GORSE Cottage and will be back!

Perfect for us ...

Reviews are such a personal thing, depending so much on individual preferences and expectations, but for us Gorse Hill cottage proved to be the perfect holiday let. The location was wonderful with the most constantly amazing sea view and a very short stroll down the garden to the beach. We love walking and swimming, which are easy to do from the property and so we only ventured further afield by car once during our week’s stay. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. We thought it was fabulous.
