Property description

'La Petite Cachette' is a completely restored 'barge board' historic private home listed on The Historic Register .

The Guest Quarters is located in the historic residential district just a few blocks away is the Depot District. This depot area was the site of the 'on location' 1965 filming of 'This Property Is Condemned' a love story set in 1930 Dodson, Mississippi starring Natalie Wood and Robert Redford.

The Guest Quarters features an open living area with full sleeper sofa, kitchen with counter for casual dining and dining table for 4.

It has a fully equipped kitchen (dishes, utensils, cookware, barware) with refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Small appliances include coffeemaker, toaster, crockpot.

Desk space has Wifi. Cable flatscreen TV, DVD, and alarm/safety system are included. Games, puzzles, and DVDs are available.

The bedroom has a queen size bed with large closets. There is a safety ladder in closet.

The new bathroom has shower/tub combination.

The balcony overlooking the pool is perfect for morning coffee or an evening beverage. The French doors and many windows give inviting views all around. This is truly a unique retreat!

*Please note this is 'The Guest Quarters' (VRBO #472872) and there is also another accommodation in the downstairs 'Main House' (VRBO #489053) listed separately. 'La Petite Cachette' is a completely restored 'barge board' historic private home.

This guest quarters are located upstairs in a house on the National Historic Register. It is the camel-back section of a double shotgun home. The guest quarters have been completely renovated and are very cozy and comfortable. The house is part of a historic district in Bay St. Louis. The Depot area and Old Town are within walking distance from the house.

About the owner: Mary Ellen and Bob are from Mississippi. Bob grew up in Bay St. Louis and graduated from St. Stanislaus. They have been coming back to 'The Bay' for over twenty years and are so proud that the Katrina Recovery is going well. The quiet streets, beautiful beaches, and the history of Old Town Bay St. Louis hold a special place in their hearts.
