Dette charmerende 1907 hjem ligger kun få gader fra hovedgaden i Historic Downtown Cumberland og 10 minutters gang fra Canal Place, C & O Canal Great Allegheny cykelstier og Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Convenient location close to start of GAP and C&O trails and downtown Cumberland attractions, clean, nice amenities and would stay here again for a couple days of riding the trails.

We do an annual trip to Cumberland and make an effort to stay here each time- it is well-located and comfortable!

Traditional charm with modern updates. Cozy stay with convenient location to revitalized downtown. We walked (strolled?) everywhere, including to memorable meal at Ristorante Ottaviani. Lulled to sleep by the train sounds each night. Clean and well-equipped home and the upstairs bath is phenomenal spa experience.

Visited Cumberland to ride the Frostburg Flyer. This home is a 5 minute walk to the train, stores and restaurants. The hosts have provided everything you will need. My husband admired the electrician that wired the lights and fans. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Heidi & Matt!

Central Location in Cumberland

Such a cool location and home. Extremely clean and well appointed. Street parking is tight which is to be expected with location. Will definitely stay again next time we are back in the area.

Cumberland stay

Property was clean and had all the necessities. The bed was very comfortable. The only down side was the very narrow street that made it slightly difficult to navigate and park. Walking distance to a lot of attractions.

Very nice stay

It was a very nice stay. Close to everything. The owners were amazing. Kitchen needed some updating with pots pans etc. but owners were very responsive.

Great place to stay

We were in walking distance of many things. Quiet area other than the sounds of trains. We loved the steam shower!!! We spent some time in the historic district checked out Mezzo’s which is an amazing place to eat with lots of great food choices! You must try the brew city fries with brown gravy and their wings are awesome. JJs pizza and wings were good. We would definitely stay here again!

Great townhouse

Lovely, quiet apt. convenient walking distance to all downtown attractions. Very well-appointed and large kitchen and luxurious main bath. A few details overlooked in cleaning but otherwise spotless. Large bedrooms with much storage. Owners kindly let us checkout at 230p on Christmas Day with no extra charge. Would def stay here again.

Annual girls trip

My college roommate lives in Pittsburgh and I’m outside of DC. So Cumberland makes for a perfect spot to meet annually in the middle… and this home has become a part of that tradition! It’s well-located to the downtown area, and also makes for a good hub from which to explore beyond Cumberland- like to 1812 Brewery & Rocky Gap. Everything within the house is clean and available, and the homeowners are pleasant and accommodating!

Perfect getaway

Very clean and modern home. Skylights in bedrooms and a shower to die for. It comes with its own steam room in the shower. The jacuzzi tub is really nice as well. All the modern conveniences in the kitchen you could ask for. Parking was a little tight for us out front with the truck so we opted to park behind the house. Matt was very helpful and answered any questions quickly. Its central location made it the perfect getaway. The pictures truly dont do it justice.

Fantastic weekend getaway!

My wife and I planned a weekend getaway that included time in Maryland and West Virginia and this charming home fit the bill perfectly! From the time we found the home and booked the property, through check in and until the end of the trip the entire process was simple and easy. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The home was immaculately clean! There was plenty of space for the two of us in the home. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. The bedrooms were large and bright. The mattress in the room we used seemed nearly new and was very comfortable. The bathroom upstairs has an incredible shower and again, I cannot stress enough how CLEAN everything was! We had a great time while in the area for the weekend and coming back to this charming home each night was a great way to end each day! The next time we come back to this area we are definitely going to be staying here again!

Cumberland

Great property. Only drawback was the train going by at 4am. Also, could use some steak knives. Might want to let other people that stay there know that there are cleaning supplies in the upstairs closet. We ran out of dish tabs and bought some, not knowing that there were 2 full tubs upstairs.

Perfect Getaway

We went away for a short four night get-away. Everything was perfect. The house was very quant and charming. It had all the amenities we needed for a convenient and relaxing stay. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and relaxing on the patio and upstairs balcony. The town's people were very friendly. Several nice shops and restaurants, with a huge recommendation not to leave Cumberland without eating at the Ristorante Ottaviani. Service, food and ambiance could not be beat. We also enjoyed the Frostburg Flyer during our stay. This was a perfect mixture of fun and relaxation.

Wonderful house with character!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this renovated house close to pedestrian streets of shops & restaurants. Beautiful kitchen & bathroom-pictures don’t do them justice. Skylights in upstair rooms bring in great natural light. Loved it!

Perfect Home for a Quiet Respite during a Reunion

We could not have asked for better. First and foremost, thank you to Heidi and Matt for listing this home and for being wonderful hosts! We read all the reviews prior to booking, and we have to say there was nothing in the reviews that wasn’t typical of an older house. That said, the home has been renovated in an amazing fashion and we love that architecture. We did not hear the trains and felt so relaxed while ‘home’ away from home. Matt and Heidi were so responsive and so tolerant. I could not, for the life of me, get the jets on the shower to work. This was my fault, but Matt so patiently walked me through it on FaceTime (thank you). The bathroom is, indeed, the highlight of the stay. The tub is huge and the shower is what I have decided I want when I remodel my bathroom. It has a sauna, rain shower, targeted jets, and more! Pure Heaven! The location is ideal! At the corner is a tavern and cafe that has the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Downtown is a few blocks away eliminating the need for driving. And there is a Catholic and Methodist church on competing corners. Thank you again and we will definitely return the next time we come ‘home’!
