The cabin was very cozy and had all the amenities we could possibly think of. We stayed there right before Christmas, and it was perfect for a quick wintwr getaway for our family of four. There is a lot to do in the local area. We went skiing and found several excellent restaurants that were very close to the cabin. The host was very reaponsive and went above and beyond to acoomodate us.

Place is clean and everything is in good working order. Nestled in the woods on a quiet lake with wild life free ranging all around. Literally was able to lure deer almost within petting distance. Nice quiet place with plenty of things to do around.

Poccanos Stay

This property was so clean and welcoming. It had exactly everything we needed. The hosts were very communicative and helpful throughout our entire stay. The location of this property is nearby everything, extremely safe, and we had access to the Boulder Lake Club. I would definitely come back here for another vacation getaway!

Good experience

Overall, a good experience. The place was clean. Well stocked pantry. Note that there doesn’t seem to be any central heat, as far as I can tell (each room has electric heaters)—though it didn’t matter as the weather was nice for our late summer stay.

Cozy home, prime location

When I walked inside I was surprised at how big it was. The pictures don’t do a justice! The place was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed to cook meals. The downstairs bedroom was nice and connected to the bathroom and the open concept kitchen area into dining/living room was a nice touch for us all to be together. The grounds are well kept and the spacious deck catered to everyone’s needs as well. The kids loved looking for frogs out back and playing on the loft with their little figurines together. I would go back in a heart beat! Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Decent getaway

It was nice and clean. The owner was prompt in responding when we had a question. The AC did not cool off the upstairs. We also felt that the windows should have more privacy with a walking path for the public right next to the house.

Great for a long weekend with the family

The owner, Darren is very easy to work with. The property is very nice and perfectly clean, with a lake view. Note that to access the Bolder Lake Club, you'll likely need to spend $125 for the weekend family rate, and boat rentals are an additional $45 - $65 (depending on type) per 90 minutes. With that in mind, it is possible to have a very fun and memorable weekend away with the family at a very reasonable rate. We had a great time and we plan to return soon!

Phenomenal spot

My friends and I stayed here for our first time skiing/boarding in the Poconos. The place was clean, the host had rapid communication, and the location to the slopes is stellar. Definitely will try to book again next season

Boulder Lake

We had a nice stay overall due to the amenities nearby. The property was clean and well located. Some information was inaccurate and other information was misleading. In the inaccurate caregory, there was no available wifi at the house. The owner tried to point us toward a hard wire cable internet jack which would only be useful for a laptop and is not equivalent wireless wifi useful for portable devices. In the misleading side, the listing talks about the Boulder Lake Club amenities but does not say that they have not paid for use by renters so renters need to pay a fee of $90 to use the club for the weekend. Also misleading is the fact that the listing says there is a grill but when we did not see a gas grill outside and asked the owner, he said there is a grill in an outside storage area with charcoal briquets and lighter fluid but gave no indication of how we would get into the storage since it was locked.

The town ofJim Thorpe 20 minutes away where theres mountain biking white water rafting paint ball hiking waterfalls and Boulder Creek close by there is so much to do and so close..
