Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed our anniversary on Kauai at this lovely studio. Hawaiian decorations were just wonderful. The ocean view was fantastic and we will miss our breakfasts on the balcony. There was a pool and a grill that we loved using daily. It felt like a real resort!
Nik, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway the opportunity to accommodate esp for your Anniversary!! Until the next time....ALOHA!
Great property, great stay!
This place exceeded our expectations. The price was low so we didn’t know what to expect. It it right next to a nice beach. Water was too rough to get in but we watched the sunrise from our balcony or a short walk to the beach. The bed was comfortable and we are picky about our beds. Having beach chairs was nice so we didn’t have to rent or buy them. The kitchenette was nice with dishes, microwave, burner and fridge. Saved us some money on breakfasts. There was always parking and the market is just a short walk from the place. My wife said she would stay here again! Especially for the price this is a really good value.
Shane, thank you for the review! Glad it worked out well for you two. KrellersGetaway appreciates you allowing us to accommodate. Until the next time....MAHALO!
We loved our stay here. Location couldn't be any better for easy access to groceries, shopping and the beach as well as a good home base to explore other parts of the island. Room is comfortable with everything provided to prepare small meals and the Lanai with ocean view is great. We really enjoyed the access to the pool, hot tub and tiki bar! Great accomodations at a reasonable price!
Ellen, glad to hear #320 worked out for you okay! KrellersGetaway appreciates the review and allowing us to accommodate during your trip to the Garden Isle! Mahalo nui!
Great location and unit!
Loved this location! The unit was nice with a nice view.
Communication was not very clear. Check in instructions were sent back when reservation was made, two months prior, and from an email address not tied to VRBO. Didn’t get an email the couple of days before our check in with instructions. No instructions when I logged in through VRBO. Tried to contact owner/manager through both numbers, but got no response. Luckily the lady at the front desk of the resort assisted me. This was my only issue with this rental. I would definitely stay again, though!
Aloha Karen and thank you for the review! We sent multiple messages to the email on file, but maybe it is no longer valid. We didn't get the messages back so assuming it was okay, but as long as you had a nice stay and everything worked out well, then that is what KrellersGetaway likes to hear! Mahalo!
Location Location Location
This place is in a phenomenal location—- beach front and central to everything on the island. Most adventures are sitting half an hour drive if not right down the street. The pool and hot tub (and tiki bar and grills) are well maintained and definitely a bonus for the stay. The place itself is simple, but exactly what we were expecting. The bed is comfortable. Television, air conditioning and WiFi are all in good working condition. We were a little apprehensive staying at a place without a full kitchen as we prefer to cook most meals even while on vacation— however between what was available here and with the grills down by the pool we had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time. We would definitely return when our adventures bring us back to Kauai. (Communication with the owners was also simple and quick).
Jessica, thank you so much for the review! KrellersGetaway appreciates it very much. We would be honored to accommodate again in the future. Until then....ALOHA!!
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.
Another post from a guest:
IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
