THE SPACE
Welcome to The Spacious Surprise, your home away from home in Hastings. Located just two blocks from the hospital, across from St. Cecilia, and within walking distance of downtown, this quiet, centrally located retreat is ideal for extended stays, traveling professionals, and families settling in for great stays from 2-90 days.

Though set in a basement apartment, guests enjoy a private entrance, private driveway, and large windows that make the space bright and inviting. With sleeping space for up to six (king, queen, futon, and fold-out sleeper), plus a walk-in closet that doubles as a flexible bonus room, the apartment adapts easily for longer-term comfort.

The fully equipped kitchen includes all major appliances and cookware, making it easy to prepare meals at home. You’ll also have a washer and dryer, reliable Wi-Fi, and a dedicated workspace/office, ensuring your stay is both comfortable and practical.

Pet-Friendly Stay
We welcome up to two dogs (with a $15 per pet, per day fee (less for stays over one week) and provide thoughtful extras: a large crate, dog bed, blankets for furniture, bowls, and waste bags.

Guest Access
You’ll have access to the private driveway, patio/yard space outside the main unit’s fence, and the entire apartment. Free parking is available onsite and on the street.

Extended Stay Policy
We host stays from 2 to 90 days. For visits longer than two weeks, guests are asked to schedule and cover a professional cleaning every two weeks ($95). This helps us keep the apartment fresh and comfortable for the duration of your stay.

Things to Note
• Basement unit: occasional sounds/footsteps may be heard from upstairs. White noise machines provided.
• Shower only (no bathtub).
• Must be able to walk down stairs to access the apartment.
• Driveway has minor cracks (does not affect use).
• Not a party property. Quiet Hours 10 pm-8 am.
• No smoking allowed inside the property.
