This was the break we needed - the space was roomy, comfortable and very clean; the property was peaceful and we enjoyed walking down to the lake and a little paddle on the kayaks. Self check-in was a plus because we weren't sure of our timing. Also, it's a small thing, but I appreciated the Roku set-up that automatically logged us out of our streaming services on check out. Truly a great stay!

We absolutely loved staying here with our 3 young boys! Beautiful drive through the countryside to a great spot to unwind, hike, watch the chickens, even fish if you wanted. Our boys adored the Murphy bed, and the king size bed was comfortable. We had spent 3 nights in excessive heat camping, so it was great to relax, do some laundry, and enjoy the comfort and quiet. Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer!

The property is located in such a lovely peaceful setting. Early morning on the patio listening to the birds is calming. The inside of the property is charming and everything is spotless. Very nice and we will return if we ever go back through the area again.

We had a nice, peaceful couple's weekend at this property. The guest house was very clean and well-equipped. All the linen was fresh. The bed was VERY comfortable - it was top quality. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking at the lake. We also enjoyed star gazing at the firepit at night. It was a great place to unwind.

This property is excellent! If you're even considering booking, just book it now & worry not. Here's why (read to the end):First, it's off the beaten path. You will feel like you're on vacation "in the country" before you get to see the chickens and hear the rooster on the property! Surrounded by mature trees, trails, and a nice fishing pond, there is serenity in every direction. Beautiful.Secondly, the house is quaint and has character; clean and cared for. It is cozy for a couple, but roomy enough for a family. We had 4 people stay 1 night. The 2 adults used the bedroom, a teen used the Murphy bed in the living room, and a 2nd teen used the sleeping pad on the floor behind the couch in the living room. All were comfortable. If you had more kids, you can throw air mattresses down because there is more floor space!The bathroom was modern and everyone who used the shower said how good it felt! The front porch was a comfy and calm place to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature.Lastly, I would normally say my favorite part of the trip was all the bass I caught in the pond...what a great time! However, the actual the best part of the trip was meeting and getting to know our host, Cara. You see, we were in a tornado warning situation that night and she made sure our family was safe through the storms.When you have an unbelievable experience like that, there just aren't enough stars to give! Thank you for your "above and beyond" hospitality Cara! You are the absolute best!

Super easy check in. Host was super available if needed. Very friendly and the Aussie dog when very friendly and cute!Property very neat and clean. Has everything you need. We were there to do some hiking at nearby Versailles Park for the weekend. Got groceries in Osgood.No steps and very close parking for anyone that has trouble walking.We would def come back again!! Thank you!
