Located on a quiet, rural property just 20–25 minutes from Great Barrington or Pittsfield, this apartment is ideal for traveling professionals, nature lovers, or anyone in need of temporary housing away from the bustle.

The barn apartment sits on a shared 6-acre woodland property that also includes the main house—where I live—and a separate in-law apartment that is rented out. Chickens and beehives are located just beside the barn, so guests should be comfortable with a bit of farm life. Wild animals such as deer, foxes, raccoons, and the occasional bear also pass through, so please be mindful outdoors. We kindly ask that all guests drive slowly on the long, shared driveway to ensure the safety of animals, children, and other residents.

While beautifully updated, this home is not a luxury rental—think peaceful, practical, and well cared for. Ideal for independent guests who value quiet surroundings, natural beauty, and a low-key lifestyle.

We’re looking to host respectful, drama-free tenants who enjoy simple country living and treat our space like their own.

The barn was a great spot for some quality time with friends. We picked some herbs and rotator from the garden and made an amazing toast. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was cute, but it appears they haven't rented it out before. Safety of the apartment was extremely concerning. The refrigerator did not work and there were three unlocked entrances in the barn that allowed full access to the apartment I was in. I've asked for a partial refund but have not received any confirmation from the owner or VRBO.
