About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Beach Front Cottage

Elephant Beach House has approximately 700 square feet of air conditioned living area, plus scenic wood decks, thatched roof gazebo and deck overlooking the beautiful beach. Spacious stairs with comfortable landings provide additional living space to enjoy the spectacular views. Our beach is composed of some of the softest beach sand you will find anywhere in the world and is secluded (you may observe 10 people walk down the beach all day!). The cottage is rustic and cozy with split unit air conditioning and wall units for back-up. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, and toaster oven. The cottage is a split plan with the bedrooms each containing a queen size bed. The front bedroom has an attached bathroom with stand-up shower. The back bedroom has a water closet and an outdoor shower that overlooks the Sea of Abaco beyond the jungle. The cottage sleeps two couples comfortably. A golf cart is recommended and can be rented on the island. The lot is 750 feet deep and 100 feet wide on the beach with a tropical jungle surrounding the cottage. The cottage has a backup diesel generator in case of power outages.

About Brian Bursa

We are attorneys in Florida. We fell in love with this property and purchased it in 2004. We are fortunate to stay at Elephant Beach House 5 times each year.

Brian Bursa purchased this cottage in 2004

Why Brian Bursa chose Abaco Islands

If you are looking for a secluded, island/beach get away, this is an ideal property. It is rustic (not fancy). This is not a luxury property. True beach/island enthusiastics will love the seclusion...the views...and the beach.

What makes this cottage unique

The stunning views and secluded nature of this property are what we love the most about Elephant Beach House.

Wow ! What a view ! Plus Privacy and Seclusion!

The cottage was ideal for 2 couples. The cottage is cozy, clean, and decorated with fun "island-themed" art. The new kitchen is fantastic. It is not fancy, but the price is more than reasonable. We felt it was an excellent value. The property has the best of both worlds. First, it is a 3 minute golf cart ride to the settlement (where the grocer and liquor store and gift shop and ferry dock are located). Second, it is completely secluded and landscaped with wonderful coconut palms. The adventurous drive up the jungle road ends with a stunning view of the ocean, reef, and beach. It took our collective breath away. There is an awesome hammock under the thatched gazebo. There are decks galore to enjoy the outdoors. The deck down on the sand was a favorite spot. We grilled a lot of delicious fish and lobster. The owner (Brian) was warm, friendly and responsive. The property manager (Darvin) was very helpful and kind. We cannot wait to return.

MOST RELAXING

  • 5 of 5

I have always taken vacations looking for adventure, new experiences and activity. Prior to leaving home I had the same expectations and plans for my week at Elephant Beach House. Perhaps rent a boat or kayak, go deep sea fishing, shop, explore, etc. What a surprise I got when I got there! This property is so secluded and tranquil all I wanted to do was walk the beach or sit on the decks and relax. I came home truly feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I would definitely return to Elephant Beach House again some day, especially when in need of a tranquil "stop the world, I want to get off for a while".

Elephant Beach House is a wonderful and romantic getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing and relaxing visit at this wonderful beach property. Each room of the house is decorated with a fun beach motif and the view of the ocean is spectacular! We loved walking on the soft white sand beach, which was just steps outside our door. We particularly enjoyed the quiet hum of the waves hitting the shore at night. If you are looking for the perfect getaway...this is it!

Adorable Beach House w. Breathtaking Beachfront Views

  • 5 of 5

The fiancee and I had an incredible time. The owners introduced us in advance to individuals who could rent us golf carts and provided us with the numbers of places to use down here if we were interested in diving, snorkeling, or boat trips. Which we were, and I highly recommend putting aside a day for that.

The house was perfect for our needs, it has a full kitchen that's upgraded, a grill outside, and the only grocery store around is less than a mile down the road. Internet access is available, so I suggest bringing a speaker with you and jam out to some island tunes while swinging on the hammock, or having a cocktail on the three-tiered deck that overlooks the water.

You are the closest house to Nippers, yet still have a truly private feel of a beach on both sides of you, never before had such an opportunity to walk out my front porch, and literally be in the water in 30 seconds. The outdoor showers are quite fun to take advantage of, but don't worry, there's an indoor shower & bathroom for those who don't enjoy such things.

We will definitely be coming back in the future, only regret is we didn't have a longer time to stay

We stayed at elephant house. I could not recommend it more highly. Beautiful view on one of the worlds finest beaches. And palm trees and coconut trees creating shade. Wonderful landscaping. Intimate yet close to everything by golf cart. Will stay there again next time we are in Guana Cay.

Absolutely perfect place for chilling

  • 5 of 5

Location couldn't have been better. Quaint home with all the character you could asked for in island living. Beach was pure heaven. Two unforgettable reefs that were a dream come true. Care keeper Darvin was a great support and couldn't have been more accommodating. I'm coming back for sure!
