Elephant Beach House has approximately 700 square feet of air conditioned living area, plus scenic wood decks, thatched roof gazebo and deck overlooking the beautiful beach. Spacious stairs with comfortable landings provide additional living space to enjoy the spectacular views. Our beach is composed of some of the softest beach sand you will find anywhere in the world and is secluded (you may observe 10 people walk down the beach all day!). The cottage is rustic and cozy with split unit air conditioning and wall units for back-up. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, and toaster oven. The cottage is a split plan with the bedrooms each containing a queen size bed. The front bedroom has an attached bathroom with stand-up shower. The back bedroom has a water closet and an outdoor shower that overlooks the Sea of Abaco beyond the jungle. The cottage sleeps two couples comfortably. A golf cart is recommended and can be rented on the island. The lot is 750 feet deep and 100 feet wide on the beach with a tropical jungle surrounding the cottage. The cottage has a backup diesel generator in case of power outages.
We are attorneys in Florida. We fell in love with this property and purchased it in 2004. We are fortunate to stay at Elephant Beach House 5 times each year.

If you are looking for a secluded, island/beach get away, this is an ideal property. It is rustic (not fancy). This is not a luxury property. True beach/island enthusiastics will love the seclusion...the views...and the beach.
The stunning views and secluded nature of this property are what we love the most about Elephant Beach House.
This place is special, we almost don't want to share this with anyone, it is that special. And we want it to always be this way. The Elephant house is charming and perfectly compliments the island, the seclusion, and the aura of this very special place. The house is located on a lot that has two levels. The level up above by the house looking down on the beach and water has a hammock, out door chairs, tables, and some shade provided by beautiful Palms and a thatched roof gazebo was just perfect. We grilled out every night and loved this space. The views of the water and the color changes of the turquoise water changed every minute by the angle of the sun, it was mesmerizing - we could not take our eyes off it. And then .... we wondered down the stairs to the beach and the sitting area there is just perfect. The beach is expansive and basically empty. We maybe saw 10 people walking over the entire week we were there. And then the water was absolutely perfect - crystal clear, amazing colors as we mentioned before, and we swam and took many long beach walks. The white sand is soft and powdery. Now you understand why we are so hesitant to share this place - it is that special. We travel many places, and we are always looking for unique and off the beaten path, and Great Guana Cay and the Elephant House were way beyond our expectations and past experiences.
If you are looking at this review, you already know that this is the house for you. This property is everything that we were looking for; a warm, cozy, romantic, cottage with a million dollar view. We spent our mornings drinking tea on the lower level of the deck. We then walked the beach from end to end (the sunrises are amazing), splashing in the water and collecting shells and coral. We spent our afternoons eating at the local restaurants, kayaking, snorkeling and of course, it is always 5 o'clock somewhere. My husband's version of a southern hurricane is heavenly. Make sure to snorkel with Dive Guana, lobster bites at grabbers, blackened grouper at nippers, conch salad at kids cove, and wings night at orchid bay. Trust me when I tell you, you will not be disappointed in this property, and all it has to offer.
As an international pilot I flew around the world for 44 years and have to say that the view here is as beautiful as any I have seen. Darvin was a great help getting settled in and was available for anything needed. Would most definitely return for another visit. The house was very comfortable and had that beachy feel that we were looking for.
We loved the Elephant Beach House and our week's get-away on Guana Cay. The ocean front location was so great. We snorkeled right off the beach in front of Nipper's - just a few yards down the beach. We took long walks on the beach every day. The weather was perfect and water temperature was not near as cold as we anticipated for February. We did a couple trips with Troy at Dive Guana, snorkeling and sight seeing different islands. Biggest decision was which of the 4 restaurants we would go to for dinner. The house is secluded - no noise from anyone or anywhere else. We loved that the mode of transport on the island is by golf cart. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have very had. The house is not fancy but more than adequate with comfortable beds, great a/c, and a well -equipped kitchen. The covered porch overlooking the beach was great and there is a lower deck right on the beach that is great for watching the sunrise and drinking coffee.
The house was perfect for our stay. When we weren't walking in the beach or photographing the sunrises and sunsets, we read and relaxed. Our toughest decisions were which deck to sit on as each had spectacular views.
Elephant Beach House is located on a 40 foot dune overlooking a beautiful, secluded beach with snorkeling and diving from the shore. This is a true get-away-from-it-all, laid-back island/beach locale. There are beach bars/grills, grocery store, and liquor store close by for your convenience.
