GREEN COTTAGE is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom standalone house with a private garden. Unlike a condo, you will not have to deal with neighbors above or below. It is professionally decorated and fully renovated. Located on Cannon Street in the design district of Downtown Charleston, it is a short walk from popular restaurants and bars including two James Beard recipient restaurants. Enjoy some of Charleston's best local dining with Hominy Grill, Lana, Two Boroughs Larder, Five Loaves, The Grocery, and The Ordinary, all located within 3 blocks of the cottage. For a morning sweet treat try Wildflower Bakery or Sugar Bakeshop just steps away.

We require a two night minimum stay Monday-Wednesday and a three night minimum stay Thursday-Sunday.

The cottage has hardwood floors, two historic fireplaces (non-working for your safety), high ceilings, wonderful natural light, high definition television, pull out sofa bed, washer dryer, and a charming porch and courtyard. Green Cottage is adjacent to Blue Cottage. Please see other listing link #464919.

Linens and towels are included. Household items/appliances include microwave, coffee grinder, coffee maker, high def TV, gas range and electric oven, LeCreuset cookware, fridge, disposal, ice maker, pop-up toaster, tea kettle, iPod Player/Speaker, hairdryer, iron & small ironing board, dishes, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, soap.

We require a three night minimum stay Thursday-Sunday.

Check In is 3:00 pm and Check Out is 11:00 am.

Green Cottage has one designated off street parking spot.

Wonderful weekend in the perfect home

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend with six girls total. It was the perfect amount of space and we absolutely loved the outdoor area too. I would love to come back and stay again! Checking in and out was VERY easy too!

Our stay at Jasper Cottage, Charleston, SC

Jasper Cottage is a two-story, stand-alone dwelling, behind the house that fronts Jasper Street. The neighboring residences are separated by small courtyards. It is within easy walking distance of King Street---at a "good pace" we were able to walk from the cottage into the downtown/historic district in less than 30 minutes. The living and kitchen area is one large room, adequately furnished: sofa-sleeper, large footstool (serving as a coffee table), two armchairs, and a wide-screen TV, kitchen table/4 chairs, and a walk-around island (as shown in the online pictures). The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, 4-burner stove/oven, and the kitchen sink, counters, and microwave oven are in the island. The kitchen is stocked with a limited set of dishes and cooking items, utensils/sharp knives, and has a coffee maker and toaster. (For guests considering a longer stay, note that there is no dishwasher [which we did not consider a detriment].) The powder room is up three steps from the living area. The two bedrooms on the second floor are accommodating (although for guests considering a longer stay, do note that there are no bureaus or chest of drawers in either bedroom). Each bedroom has a private bathroom (both include step-in showers, neither of which has a shower seat or grab rails, which would have been welcome, and neither bathroom has any counter space for personal items, which also would have been welcome). The beds are exceptionally comfortable, as are the pillows (which we consider a huge plus). The AC/Heating thermostat is on the 2nd floor. The cottage is supplied with soap (kitchen, bathroom, and W/D) and towels (kitchen and bathroom). The off-street parking space is quite small (we had a full-size SUV and it "just fit" in the space, so passengers got out before the vehicle was pulled into the space). The property manager, Meg, is friendly and accommodated a special request. She also answered several email questions (prior to our arrival) and in every communication she was friendly and eager to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Jasper Cottage is perfect for 4-6 adults who want to enjoy having a private place to stay (rather than booking into a hotel). In general, we were well pleased with the cottage, found everything to be as advertised, and considered it worth the rental fee.

Cute, charming, cozy cottage!

This is our 3rd time in Charleston, and our 1st time staying at The Green Cottage. We can't get enough of this awesome city! Loved our stay at The Green Cottage! It was perfect for my husband, myself, and our two children ages 3 and 6. I loved that the cottage was a stand alone with a private court yard to enjoy the beautiful weather we had. Made it feel like it was really our home in a cute and up and coming neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance. Cottage was clean, well stocked, and had comfortable beds. Plenty of toilet paper, garbage bags, even laundry detergent. Usually when I rent vacation houses they give you 2-4 rolls of toilet paper and a couple of garbage bags and no laundry detergent. I'm so used to this that I packed a bunch. Great surprise to see I didn't need to! To be honest we never cooked a thing in the kitchen. There are too many good places to eat in Charleston and surrounding areas. Our favorites are Toast (awesome breakfast!), The Lost Dog, and The Charleston Grill. Cottage is in a great location. Can get to any of the 3 beaches in 15 minutes. Owner responds right away to anything you need! Overall so happy with our stay! We were all so sad to leave our home away from home. Can't wait to be back!

Perfect house in perfect neighborhood

We loved this house because it had all the character and beauty of the quaint old house it is but has been renovated and decorated to be comfortable and fresh. The bedrooms each have a proper loo which is nice (and somewhat unusual). We did not cook because there are so many good restaurants right nearby but the kitchen was very well equipped. The little enclosed yard has a picnic table that would be perfect to have dinner at. The off street parking was a very welcome plus as well. We were only there for two nights but the house is so well

Stocked that it would be comfortable for a longer stay.

As for the neighborhood, we couldn't have chosen better. It is about a ten minute walk from the heavily touristed area of Charleston but feels young and vital. Beautiful old (but not grand) houses in various states of gentrification line the quiet, wide streets. Young people on sherbet colored bikes roll by. I would compare it to Brooklyn- hip restaurants like Xiao Bao Biscuit and Sunrise Diner mixed with the feeling of a real neighborhood.

All in all, a real winner!
