About Greg Matthews

As our family grows, so does our passion for forging memories at the Lake. Since 2001, the year I met my wife, we've been coming to Priest Lake to spend a week with family and friends. It has now turned into a tradition which marks the pinnacle of every summer.

Greg Matthews purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Greg Matthews chose Priest Lake

My most memorable times growing up as a child were the summers on the lake with family and friends. So, in the spirit of making memories for our children, we chose to buy a place of our own to ensure the tradition is carried on. I have no doubt, this will leave a lasting impression on our kids, our family, and our friends, as it did for me.

What a View!

  • 5 of 5

We have been going to Priest Lake for the past 40 years and this is the 1st time we stayed at this house. All I can say is WOW - what a wonderful house with a gorgeous view and great location. We really liked the bunkhouse because that is where the late sleepers stayed. We didn’t mind the stairs.

The kitchen was well equipped and the deck was perfect for barbequing. We had plenty of room in the living room and the dining table was perfect for playing games. There is lots of room for a 3 generation family. My teenage grand daughters were very happy that we had internet.

We brought our boat so we loved the dock and spent most of our time there and our 3 year old loved the beach front.

Incredible view.

  • 4 of 5

Our family spent a wonderful week at this cabin. The view cannot be beat and the sunsets are amazing, but all of this sun does make for a warm, sunny, dining experience in the afternoons which did not bother me, but did bother a few in our group. It would be nice if there was a way to open up the windows in the dining room, or to put up blinds that could be closed in the heat of the day. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was great to be able to sleep so many comfortably. I was in the main cabin and my older children were in the bunk house and wished they could have been closer to us. The hammock was a big hit, as was the canoe, and the table on the dock and the firepit near the beach. It is not a good place to stay if you cannot do stairs well. Greg was super easy to work with. I hope to go back. Priest Lake is beautiful.

Perfect Labor Day

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful property, including a main cabin and separate bunkhouse, was truly great for our family get-together with 7 adults and 4 children. The dock worked perfectly for both our ski boat rental from Blue Diamond Marina, and one family member's bass boat. We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin - more than others I've rented in the past - due to its mid-lake location, convenience to Indian Creek Park's boat launch, well-equipped kitchen, open floorplan that highlights truly spectacular panoramic views, outdoor dining table with gas grill and great sunsets, and the owner's professional and timely response to a minor service request. My youngest nephew caught his very first fish from the dock! Great surprise: unexpected Northern Lights our last night there. Bravo!

Great view

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed our stay except it was late August and the fires created smoke problems. Everything went smoothly and the place was as advertised. Beach chairs aren't included which should be. Very good value for the money.

Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this lake home July 5-12, 2015. There were eleven of us, including 6 adults and 5 children ages 5-14. The main house and bunkhouse set-up was ideal for our group. Our four granddaughters loved having the room with two bunk beds so they could all be together! This house was well equipped for all our needs including cooking tools and accessories, nice linens, comfortable beds, a large grill plus another smaller one, and plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed the beautiful dock with a picnic table and umbrella while swimming, tubing and fishing. (We didn't catch anything, but the kids learned about casting and waiting patiently for a nibble on the line.) We also spent time on the lovely deck of the main house in the mornings and late evenings. Our stay was during an unusually hot spell for Priest Lake, so the deck and dock were too hot in the late afternoon. The WiFi worked great, as did cell phones. We had such a good time, we were all sorry to have our week end. The owner, Greg, responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would give this property five stars except for two issues. One issue is access from the main road. Two Creeks Road is VERY narrow and rough. Once you are in the driveway, it is very difficult to turn around to exit if there is more than one car. We had relatives that rented another place about a mile away. Since there were parking issues, we shuttled people back and forth by boat. The other issue is that the property draws water from the lake, so you have to bring in drinking water. Cases of water can be purchased at The Tamrack on the other side of the lake, or at the Leonard Paul store in Coolin. We love Priest Lake and are so happy to have spent this week at such a beautiful property.
