As you enter the Avon Hills in beautiful Collegeville Township, you'll begin to sense that you've left the rush of the world behind. This private & comfortable 1200sf guest suite has a separate entrance and is nestled among pines, birch, maples & oaks. Deer, birds, wood ducks & mallards return to their favorite MN pond, for you to enjoy. A peaceful place to read, rest, relax and reflect!
Moments after getting your personal items put away, you will feel your blood pressure decline. Expect to refresh your mind & body.

About your place:
•1300sf guest suite with private entrance and parking in temperature controlled attached garage.
•Enjoy your large bedroom & a good nights sleep in the king log canopy bed with down feather ticks.
•Room for additional guests on the log bunks & quality sofa sleeper in the main area.
•Two 8’ patio doors to a huge private colored concrete patio with log swing and custom fire pit & log benches.
•Full kitchen with island seating has dishes, silverware, glassware and many extras, for your convenience.
•Living room stays cozy with stone gas fireplace. Perfect for naps.
•4 seat dining room table. Add stools from the kitchen island for additional seating.
•Full bathroom with shower/tub combo and generous vanity.
•Private en suite washer & dryer.
•Gorgeous views in every direction.
•We welcome your groomed, house-trained pet at an additional $30 a night. (Let us know your special canine need. We love furry friends!) Pets to be placed in pet carrier if/when left unattended in guest suite.
•Prices listed are for up to 2 adults
•Each person after 2 will be charged an additional $30 per night.

Relaxing few days in Avon

The property was perfect for my stay over July 4th holiday. Went hiking, ate at Krewes in Saint Joseph and watched a few movies. Very relaxing stay with my two dogs.

Amazing Stay

My family and I were in town to attend Homecoming at St. John's University. The property had plenty of room with many thoughtful touches. This was return stay for us and we will definitely be back!!!

Great Getaway

Was a secluded little getaway just to relax and do very little other than decompress and this was perfect. Close to St Cloud of you need anything and plenty of amenities nearby as well. Great little relaxation spot!

Fabulous place!

This is the cleanest VRBO I've stayed in! Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. This place was a perfect little peaceful sanctuary to get away for a ladies weekend and relax. We sat at the little bench in the woods and enjoyed some peace and had a bonfire at night. Close to a brewery, cidery, and cute shops and coffee shops.

An idyllic stay

We loved our stay at the Log Bear Den. Everything about it was perfect from the beautiful and comfortable furnishings and bed to the spectacular views from the 4 large glass doors out to the patio overlooking a lake with fountain set against wooded hills and beautiful landscaping. Robin and Jim were welcoming and helpful. Close to all the small towns while peacefully situated in the woods. The garage parking was a plus. We would love to return some day.

Comfortable long stay!

We found this great property close to home! We had water damage to our house, we had to find a place to stay while the restoration was done(3 weeks)! This was the perfect place, peaceful serene and comfortable! The property owners were available any time we had questions they were very accommodating and flexible as we were not sure how long we would have to stay, depending when the work would be done on our house. Would recommend this property if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway!

Big Bear Lodge Exceeds Expectations

BBL is a secluded, beautiful property yet close to everything St Joseph and St Cloud has to offer. It is well maintained and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped including basic cooking items. We had our meals on the patio overlooking the spacious lawn w the pond beyond. We enjoyed a bonfire at night and even got to see the northern lights. Robin and Jim are responsive, gracious hosts.

A great fall getaway

Wow! Another great stay at our favorite VRBO. My husband and I stayed here with another couple to attend the SJU football game over a long weekend. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with s’mores, clean amenities, and warm ambiance. There is an apple orchard a mile away and so many fun shops and restaurants nearby in St Joe. We will be back! Thank you Jim and Robin!

We have always enjoyed serving people. Since 1979 when we were first married and had our first Christmas Party. It was in a 20' x. 20' cabin that we rehabbed (before that was even a thing...) and had to entertain our guests in shifts, because the space was so tight:)
Today we have much more space to accommodate our friends and our incredible family has grown, but our hearts are still focused on helping people to feel comfortable and enjoy the relationships and beauty around them. Many times, slowing down to enjoy some peace and quiet, reveals the blessing!
We look forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you.

We absolutely love this convenient location. So close to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. I-94 is less than 3 miles away for easy access. A few miles from SJU and only a couple miles to the famous Wobegon trail. The Ledge for concerts is 15 miles.
