About Tasey Miyahira Owner/Manager
I grew up here on Maui by Mama's Fish House on the beach of Kuau with many fond memories of spear fishing, catching lobster, and grilling our catch on the beach. One day, me and my buddies were watching Don Ho singing, 'Tiny Bubbles' at Mama's Fish House as a young boy peeking in the window. As I grew, I went hunting for deer and pig upcountry. Then I knew, upcountry Maui could be my piece of paradise in the clouds. The tranquil cool breezes, lush greenery, and the many rainbow skies were for me.
Tasey Miyahira Owner/Manager purchased this House in 1991
Why Tasey Miyahira Owner/Manager chose Pukalani
Our piece of paradise is this mountain home. We work all day or play all day; then return to relax at our private country home. We enjoyed raising cattle, planting fruit, and flowers of different varieties to share with our family. The elevation keeps it cool and green year round. There are close amenities, shopping, and activities.
What makes this House unique
Our sunsets, rainbows, and ocean view from the lanai at breakfast or early dinners. Where the home was built on the back of the property for privacy. The separate lower level for our older children; after a hard day at work, sometimes allowing our six children to invite cousins and friends to the lower level to watch their kid movies, play games, or listen to their stereo. The separate upstairs den, TV, and stereo for us adults. The master suite Jacuzzi for relaxing. Family cooking together and visiting outside our carport with the cool breeze. Where our children would run, bike, and play with no worries down the private drive. The small town amenities, activities, and the open green mountain pastures minutes away.

Good location, nice place
This worked out quite well for us (7 adults). As we were doing activities all over the island, the relatively central location was good - especially for going up Haleakala for sunrise.
The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of cooking equipment, plates, etc. We took advantage of the TWO washers and dryers - a big plus.
The beach and snorkeling equipment was nice to have.
As noted in another review, the house is divided into two apartments - each with two bedrooms, kitchen and living area.
Peaceful retreat in the Upcountry
Three adults and two teens had a restful time here for 8 nights. We live on some acreage in suburban Seattle with a couple of horses so we enjoyed the goats and cows nearby. We even saw a few newborn baby goats. The house is big with spacious rooms. Beds were great as were bathrooms and kitchen. This location is a good takeoff spot for all in Maui. We will definitely consider this property again when visiting Maui.
The Weaver Family
Mahalo for your booking of our upcountry Maui home. We take pride in keeping our home clean, stocked, and maintained for all guests.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was very clean when we arrived, there were plenty of towels and kitchen equipment. We really enjoyed the goats, and the outdoor patio/Bar area.
It was really quiet in the evening. We especially enjoyed the lemons from the tree.
We appreciate your time to review our home. We do have many different fruit trees for our guests to enjoy during their stay.Mahalo for your booking.
A stay in paradise
We loved this house. It was just what the doctor ordered. Tasey keeps this house immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. There are many shops and places to eat close by. This location is really nice, because you are in the middle of the island. It is a nice drive to the beach or local attractions.
Beautiful views, quiet, convenient
The home is clean, comfortable and convenient to many activities! Plenty of laundry facilities and a well stocked kitchen. The home and yard is spacious and even has everything you need for a fun day at the beach! The nearby town has the best bakery and a fun town party every month. Perfect home base for a Maui adventure!
Mahalo for your stay. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our property and found the services convenient. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Great place for our family vacation
This house is awesome! By far one our very favorite vacation rentals. It was very peaceful, comfortable, beautiful and well stocked with kitchen items! Being from a rural area in our home state, we loved being by the neighboring farms with cattle and goats. It was lovely and peaceful to watch them graze and watch the baby goats play. One goat even had babies on our last day there! Such a miracle.
We had beautiful rainbows there everyday. The grounds were lovely with beautiful birds and even some chameleons!
We will definitely be back!
Mahalo for your stay. Our home is perfect for our family also. We strive for perfection.
