We had a great time in Amelia Island and this house was in a great location close to the beach, shopping and good food. The home is well appointed and clean. We hope to return again!

Even better than I expected!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a week right before Christmas. This home is absolutely PERFECT for a couple or family/families with kids. The decor is is beautiful in every room and the homeowners have thought of everything, (fully appointed is an understatement)! The location can't be beat either. Just a few steps down the road and across the street to public beach access to the left or right and walking distance to oceanside dining and shops. Do not pass this one up!

Beachy get away

  • 5 of 5

This delightful house is conveniently located for exploring the Amelia Island area. The public beach access is just a short walk away. It is close to grocery, drug, coffee shop and other such needs. It is a short drive to the old town section of Fernandina Beach. A day-trip to St. Augustine is easily available by following the scenic A1A.

The house has all the conveniences needed for an extended stay and beach experience. The traffic noise from the busy street that runs in front of the house can become rather annoying while trying to relax on the deck overlooking the ocean.

We really enjoyed the Cumberland Island Tour cruise and exploring the many shops in Fernandina Beach. Great breakfast/brunch was available at Ms. Carolyn's, fantastic burgers at T-Rays, and great Cuban sandwiches and coffee at Hola Cuban Cafe.

Map

A 5 minute walk down the beach brings you to the area's most popular seafood on the water. A 5 minute drive in either direction takes you to either the Amelia Island Plantation Village or to historic downtown with dozens of shops and restaurants (and Florida's oldest bar). And since 5 seems to be the magic number, did i mention the five state parks within a 10-15 minute drive with miles of bike trails and beautiful driftwood beaches, a lighthouse and fort clinch. Plus the Ritz Carlton is right down the beach so you know it can't be too bad!
