Nestled in the heart of Lutsen, this charming 3-bedroom cabin offers the perfect escape for your next vacation. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warm glow of the fireplace, inviting you to cozy up and unwind. The fully stocked kitchen complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, outdoor gas grill and all the necessary appliances allows you to easily prepare delicious meals to enjoy at the dining table. Enjoy our complementary bottle of wine and 2 souvenir wine glasses as our welcome gift.

Spend your days exploring the nearby Superior National Forest, just a short walk away, or venture to the North Shore Winery for a taste of the local flavors. When you're not out adventuring, you can chill in the great room overlooking Lake Superior, identify the many birds at the feeders, stream a movie, challenge your friends to a game night with the selection of games and books provided, try our scavenger hunt, take a sauna, design and color a rock and add it to our huge art collection or take a long soak in our claw foot tub. Plenty of activities to keep everyone in your group happy and involved.

The Lutsen Lookout was an absolutely fabulous place for our family of six to stay during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. The home was cozy, welcoming, and full of charm, and it was especially fun for our young boys to explore every corner. It truly felt like a winter getaway made for families.Todd was incredibly responsive and accommodating—he went above and beyond by helping us check in two hours early during a snowstorm, which made a stressful travel day so much easier. We were extremely grateful for his kindness and flexibility.The property had everything we could possibly need, making our stay comfortable and relaxing from start to finish. We made so many wonderful memories here and couldn’t have asked for a better location or experience. Thank you for such a great stay—we will absolutely be back!

North woods charm

This property is obviously well loved. The little touches all around both inside and out made us feel welcome. My grandson loved his “bear” bedroom and would love to come back and stay in the “moose bedroom “The location is perfect for hiking and is close to Lutsen and Grand Marais.

Why they chose this property

Lutsen Lookout was built for luxury and privacy while maximizing the views or Lake Superior. Lutsen Lookout is a very comfortable 3000 sq ft home with an open design. It's located on 5.2 private acres of pristine land and surrounded by 100's of acres of State and Federal land. Nearby restaurants, bars, shopping areas and activities make it an ideal location. You can cross county ski, hike and snowmobile right from the front door. Due to the remote access, all-wheel or 4-wheel drive is required for winter rentals.

What makes this property unique

There is access to a snowmobile trail which brings you to a groomed cross county ski trail ... right from the cabin. Downhill skiing at the Lutsen Mountain is just a mile away. For warmer weather enjoy the nearby Lake Superior Hiking Trail, the Gitchee Gumee bike trail, Gondola rides the Alpine Slide or leisurely walks along Lake Superior beaches. We are surrounded by woods, privacy and wildlife. Ideal for 2-3 families or couples. Nearby restaurants and establishments include North Shore Winery (1-mile) Papa Charlies (2 miles), Lutsen Lodge (2 miles), Moguls Grille and Tap Room (2 miles), Coho Cafe (7 miles), Cascade Lodge (10 miles) and some great brew pubs and restaurants in Grand Marias (19 miles)
