Five Bedrooms, 4.5 Bathrooms With Mountain Views
BaseCamp was built in 1977 and we purchased it in 1987. This is a special home where up to three couples and their families can comfortably enjoy a fantastic vacation in the mountains!
Our home has actually 5 bedrooms: 3 king bedrooms, 1 bunk room(4 single beds) and 1 loft (2 single beds).
You enter the house from the street and find yourself in the large living room. A kitchen is located to the left and is fully equipped with a SubZero refrigerator, electric Jennaire stove, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. It has cooking and eating utensils, glassware and plates, coffee maker, a toaster, blender and a TV.
The dinning room accomodates 12 people. Both the kitchen and dinning room have newly refinished hardwood floors.
During the summer and autumn, the generous deck, facing north and west, has a large round table with 6 chairs, 2 lounge chairs and a sun umbrella. You can enjoy the view with morning coffee/tea or have a glass a wine and yes, enjoy the view!
The living room is carpeted and has a tall beamed ceiling with a wood burning fireplace, a stereo system, bookshelves loaded with books about Aspen/Snowmass, and a flat screen TV.
The spacious first master bedroom has a king bed, private bath, TV and is located up one level with views facing south of High Alpine and the Wall ski slopes.
The cozy fifth bedroom loft with twin beds is on the top level, (above the master) accessible by a spiral staircase. It has great views across the valley.
The lower level has a comfortable 2nd master bedroom with a king bed, private bath with a TV and views of a wonderful grove of pine trees.
The third and middle bedroom has a king bed with private bath and a large walk in closet with a sauna across the hall.
The fourth bedroom’s 4 pine bunk (twin size) beds is great for both adults and children, with a large closet and the bathroom is across the hall.
At the end of the downstairs hall is a laundry/utility room with an extra large capacity washer and dryer.

About Karin Olsen Campia
Our family has skied extensively each year in Snowmass for the past 32 years. We also sail, hike, are avid golfers, tennis players, rowers and cyclists. We have raised 2 daughters and love sharing many wonderful outdoor experiences with them. Both girls love the fun and exciting mountain activities that Snowmass Mountain has to offer and are expert skiers.

Why Karin Olsen Campia chose Snowmass Village
Snowmass Village is a fantastic place to spend quality time with our family. Our home is located a third of the way up the mountain so you can by-pass the often crowded lower lifts by skiing to the Gondola mid-station or by taking a short walk to the High Alpine lift. We love the proximity to the mountains and the activities that are available in the winter as well as the summer. Aspen is a short 5 miles away, so movie theaters, restaurants and great shopping are close but do not dominate our vacation.
What makes this House unique
We love the mountain views and the fact that our home feels private and secluded among the tall pine trees. When the wind blows, the trees sigh and rustle. A snow storm is the perfect time to curl up with a good book and watch the snow swirl around the large glass windows of the living room as a fire burns in the fireplace. Absolutely wonderful!

Comfortable, spacious and well located on the ski mountain near the slopes.
We always enjoy BaseCamp. Lovely setting among a forest of evergreens and aspen trees. Beautiful home to relaxe in and enjoy with family and friends after a good day of skiing!
Fantastic. Excellent for our group of twelve.
Clean, spacious, warm and well supplied. Very helpful host. Would definitely recommend this property.
Wonderful Week at Basecamp
Our family of 9 had a wonderful week at Basecamp. It felt very spacious and the living area was awesome for our family. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of singles and marrieds. The kitchen has everything you need and the dining/breakfast room was perfect. Even with limited snow the ski access was very easy. No need to go to the bottom of the mountain as you can catch the Elk Camp Gondola at the mid station. Thank you for sharing such a special place.
Wonderful house and location to spend a vacation on Snowmass Mountain!
BaseCamp is a wonderful place to spend your time on Snowmass Mountain. The listing description was accurate and the property was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The owner was very helpful and very easy to deal with. Our party of two couples with four boys thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. It seemed like being home, except for the stunning views and the close proximity to the slopes! We enjoyed skiing out and in every day that we were there. I would highly recommend this house to family and friends. We will be back.
We are so pleased that you had an enjoyable stay at BaseCamp! We look forward to having you visit again soon. Best wishes!
Not a house, a home.
We were 3 couples off for a week of skiing without the kids. The house has 3 master suites and was very comfortable for 3 adult couples. We didn't use the bunk room or loft, although if the kids had come along there would have been ample room. The nicest feature of this house is that its feels like a home. There are so many personal touches. We all had the feeling like we were staying at a friends house, not a rental.
Our week in heaven!
Our extended family gathered for a reunion in this lovely home. There was plenty of space for us all to be together and also for all of us to have privacy. The owner, Karin, was very easy to work with and the property manager, Andrew, was very attentive and helped clear away the nearly 3 feet of snow we got during that week! The house and kitchen were well equipped, including plenty of dry firewood! We would love to return! Many thanks for allowing us enjoy the comforts of your home~
Snowmass Village, Colorado. The views are outstanding with great hiking and ski trails easily accessible from our home. You can walk from our house, located at 9,000 feet, to the top of Elk Camp which is 11,300 feet or hike to the top of the Cirque which is over 12,000 feet high. There you feel like you are truely on top of the world! Hot air ballooning is amazing in the winter and summer and dog sledding the mountain trails is available at Krablooniks Restautant, Snowmass Village during the winter.
