About Benny Roitman

My love affair with Asbury Park begun in 2011 and it was truly love at first sight. It was the height of summer and I was escaping the heat of NYC for the weekend. It was so clear to me that Asbury is a very special place: from the famous boardwalk to the award-winning restaurants to the incredible music scene - it has so much to offer. I spent the next 2 years coming down as often as possible - even during off-season because there's always something going on (festivals, new restaurant openings, etc). I purchased this beautiful historic house in 2013 and furnished it with brand new high-end pieces. I hope that guests love staying at the house and Asbury Park just as much as I do.

A Perfect Beach Home for a Multi-Generational Get-Together!

  • 5 of 5

Asbury Park is a fun, gentrifying town on the beautiful Jersey Shore. This house is delightfully decorated in white and shades of blue, invoking a restful ambiance. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is well-appointed with tons of dishes, serving pieces, and equipment, plus there are excellent options for food in the area. (Hello, Wegmans!) There are actually a multitude of nice restaurant options in easy walking distance but we enjoyed eating at home due to the ease of preparation and serving and the nice big dining room table.

The bedrooms are all nicely appointed, too. There are a lot of bathrooms and easy access to the laundry on the first floor. The AC worked well (room units).

While the street is not a show-stopper, it was pleasant and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch and catching the breeze. It's about 12 minutes to a terrific beach. We carried our stuff there without a problem; it was nice not to bother with parking. Even shorter distance to Cookman Street where there is a restaurant scene. Loved walking up and down the Boardwalk!

Our host was accessible and super-helpful. Can't say enough things about this beautiful home.

Awesome Asbury week!

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a spacious, beautiful and comfortable beach house at the shore on the train line for the July 4th week for our family, a bit of a tall order as we had high expectations after vacationing in the outer banks for years!! Benny's house ended up being quite a find~! Not only is it beautifully decorated but so comfortable and with the all the amenities and extra touches of home. The kitchen was so well equipped and the dining room fit all of us comfortably. The beds were amazing and we all slept so well! The beach was a short walk and the town even shorter. We tried a number of great restaurants and joined a gym right in town. All in all, it was an amazing week in a beautiful home; we felt like we hit the jackpot!

Gorgeous Home

  • 5 of 5

Every year my friends and I take a road trip for a week-long couples retreat. This year it was my year to plan and I am no event coordinator, so I was quite nervous. I had heard good things of Asbury park and stumbled across this beautiful home online. My fingers were crossed that the place would look as good, in person, as the online images, but the place was much more fabulous than we had anticipated. The photos do it no justice. Additionally, It's a few blocks away from the beach and some really amazing restaurants. The house is very spacious and stylish and cozy; it was the perfect choice. Benny was extremely pleasant and helpful and there were plenty more unexpected added bonuses. We will surely return to the Chic Historic Victorian in the near future... Thanks again Benny!

Jersey Shore Gem

  • 5 of 5

We spent the most delightful week in this beautiful home! Once a year, my husband, adult sons and spouses gather for a Togethering! We love a home where we can relax, play games and cook together. We found the perfect place. We had plenty of space for all of us to spread out and relax and then were able to all gather together on the front porch, kitchen and dining room for cocktails, grilling, cooking, dining and game playing. Having had recent back surgery, I was extremely impressed by the comfort of the beds and couches. We all left very well-rested. Benny was a delight and so helpful with the many questions I had throughout the week. Our time on the boardwalk was charming - Pinball museum was a major attraction, and all restaurants we tried were wonderful. Even the neighbors were welcoming and helpful - a first for us in vrbo rentals. Our week flew by and I wish we could have stayed another!

Perfect Beach Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This home is absolutely stunning- very well cared for, clean, and well decorated. It was easy to settle in and feel right at home. The beds were so incredibly comfortable! Little features such as remote control fans in the bedrooms, and nice showers with good water pressure made our stay very enjoyable. The owner provides enough linens for all guests including bath towels, beach towels, and sheets.

The living room had comfortable couches, and the large dining room with seating for 12 was very inviting. The home has everything you need including a very well stocked kitchen complete with espresso machine, juicer, and high quality utensils. The owner also left some local coffee and granola on the table for us as a welcome gift which was a very nice touch. There is a great sound system throughout the entire house, controlled via mini ipad which was left in the home for us to use. Even the neighbors went out of their way to welcome us to the neighborhood and provide tips on where to eat and go out at night!

The location can't be beat. Less than a 10 minute walk to Cookman Ave (for shops, restaurants, and bars) and only a few blocks to the beach. The boardwalk is full of great restaurants and shops and is busy both day and night. The local restaurants and bars are a ton of fun. This home allowed us to have relaxing days on the beach while also in a location with nightlife - all without needing a car to get around!

Benny, the owner, went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable in his home. He was very responsive and made himself available for any questions we had prior to arrival and once we were at the home. Our stay at this home really was perfect in every way!

great for a christmas getaway

  • 5 of 5

With some family in NJ and others across the East Coast we were looking for a central meeting point and settled on Asbury Park for Christmas. House was immaculately clean, very well maintained, beautiful renovated Victorian about 4 blocks inland from boardwalk. We were very comfortable there with 5 adult couples and 2 toddlers. Owners are very accessible by email (and later phone) and extremely helpful. They were even willing to work with us to accommodate an unusual pet situation. Huge beautiful dining room was perfect for our Xmas eve and Xmas dinners. Loved the built in, house wide, sound system as well. Would certainly take the entire family back, hopefully next time it will be more than 30 degrees outside!
