All the holidays are celebrated. Family and friends are an important part of life. Here you see Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Veteran's Day--all decked out because we support our family and friends who serve our Great Country in the armed forces! Halloween and Christmas are joyous holidays and celebrate the 'Festival of Lights.'
Robert purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Robert chose White Springs
Cottage rentals were created for two daughters who are affiliated with the Air Force. Erin's cottage is designed with unique interest that she likes. She currently lives in San Antonio, TX; her son love's the arts and music. The other cottage is dedicated to Stacy, who is an active duty Air Force member and is currently stationed in Biloxi, MS; she is a weather person for the base and has served in Afghanistan, and did a tour in Ethiopia for nine months. Stacy and her husband have a new son named Oliver who was born in December 2014!
What makes this Cottage unique
Cottages are dedicated to them, so when they visit they have a place to stay. Being in the military, making them feel at home is very important. Both daughters have both participated in serving our country in the states, overseas, and Stacy in combat situations. Any day they visit is a 'holiday!' Visit the upper Suwanee River where kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and just plain fun. Start from the Big Shoals and canoe/kayak to where the cottages are located in hours (depending on the river height). The upper Suwanee River is where the true nature begins.

Relaxing - amazing hosts - you won’t be sorry if you decide to stay here
Centrally located yet private. Lake City is a 15 minute drive away. Checked out Sal’s Pizza, Marion Deli and Pub and Halpatter Brewery. All were perfect.
Robert and Michael are super hosts - lots of info about the area and left us with amazing fruit and muffins.
Just know the water is sulfur but don’t let that stop you from staying. We will be back!
It was a very cute cozy place. Great outdoor fire pit. But just to far from the river for us to carry our kayaks down the hill. I would come back in a heart beat with a kayak cart if they will get a new queen or king bed. I'm sorry but the bed was very uncomfortable.
Wonderful stay-Wonderful location- Wonderful hosts
Couldn't ask for anything more. The accommodations were very nice and complete. The hosts were very thoughtful and went the extra mile to show us hospitality. Looking forward to next year. Thank you guys so much.
Thank you Ms. Amundsen for you wonderful comments, and the Pausal's for visiting us on the banks of the Suwannee River. Our guest were very plesant and we know they had a wonderful visit while visiting from Oviedo, FL, for the 65th Annual Florida Folk Festival in White Springs, FL.
Our Favorite Stay
My fiance and I had the best time here- this was probably our most favorite trip ever. We planned on arriving late on Saturday and Robert was kind to accommodate us. The pictures did not do justice. We went to sleep in a lovely room with absolutely no sound or light, perfect for us city dwellers. And in the morning, we woke up to a nice rain shower and the perfect view of the river from the bedroom window. After speaking with Robert for a good twenty minutes (the guys got along so well!) I made coffee and my fiance and I trekked down to the river which was just a tiny walk down! Robert and Mike were great hosts! They gave us tons of information and Robert told us all about his childhood in White Springs, giving us tips on where we should go. We went to go check out The Falling Creek- a beautiful waterfall just minutes away (thank you Robert)! The next day, we went out canoeing and were fortunate enough to be dropped off at a location that would take us up the river right past the cottage! We banked and hopped out, only to find Mike ready with his camera to take a picture of us! We loved our trip so much that we ended up extending it by a day and on Tuesday we woke up to a wonderful frittata made by Robert! These guys were amazing and we cannot wait to be back to explore more around White Springs!
Wonderful getaway for two
