What a wonderful stay! The cabin was just adorable! It was so very clean, and equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. We were visiting with family nearby and this cabin was our little sanctuary at the end of each day. A wonderful place to recharge!

Fantastic in all ways

I so wish we could have this exact cabin on all adventures from this point forward, along with host Kathy. A new bar for 5 stars was set - on cleanliness, charm, details, setting, and comfort.

Perfect Getaway!

Phenomenal place! Kathy came over at check-in. She made sure we had what we needed and helped acclimate us to the activities in the area. She was fantastic, and the cabin couldn't have been better. It had everything we could have asked for...from the cute electric fireplace inside, to the screened-in back porch, to the fire pit...it was an experience in itself. Highly recommend and hope to go back.

Perfect for our Stockton lake trip

Excellent location near the lake around plenty of boat ramps in the area. Comfortable beds and secure and secluded area. Very clean and well kept place and property with a circle drive that makes it easy for pulling a trailer through.

Beautiful cabin

Enjoyed Shack's Cabin! It is tucked away by itself in a quiet area! Can't think of anything negative to say just all around a neat, clean place to stay. Yummy cookies to welcome you...nice fire pit area and a screened in porch. Fun old fashioned gas oven to cook on! Lake near by! Thanks for the great stay!

Perfect for a lake getaway

The cabin was beautiful and had everything we could need. Kathy and Mike were amazing to work with, so kind and helpful. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off in after swimming in the lake. The screened porch was the perfect place for dinner and watching the fireflies at night. The whole family loved it! Definitely on our list to visit again!

Perfect getaway

This is a perfect spot to get away from it all. It is as beautiful as it appears on the website. It is very clean and the attention to detail in the decor is amazing. We observed deer, turkey and pheasant from the back deck. The outdoor shower is awesome. We would love to return and highly recommend this property!

Cozy and Comfortable

We rented this cabin over Thanksgiving for our family of 6. It’s the perfect spot to get away and relax! We enjoyed cooking s’mores by the fire pit, playing board games, doing a puzzle, reading, cooking and watching Christmas movies. Communication with the host was incredible, easy, and she was so sweet and attentive to the details. We cannot thank You enough for the hospitality! 10/10 You will love this cabin!!

Best Country Get Away

I was looking for a country vacation. And this beat my expectations. We live in the city in Arizona and were needing a vacation that would let us decompress from the everyday hustle/stress that we are under. Staying at the cabin was the best week we have had in a long time. Waking up to hearing the wind in the trees, watching turkey and deer in the yard, to just drinking coffee on the front porch was a dream. Kathy and Mike are wonderful hosts. Our family will definitely be back for another vacation at the cabin real soon.

Charming Cabin in the Country

The cabin is beautiful and was immaculately clean. You can tell that a lot of care was put into the construction and decoration. It's was well stocked with everything we wanted. The hosts were super nice without being intrusive. The property was very well maintained and felt very secluded. Everyone we met in town was friendly. It's within walking distance of a nature trail and just a short drive to the lake. You can actually see the lake from the loft window of the cabin. 10 out of 10 and I'm already looking forward to going back.

Girls weekend escape from the city

It was peaceful, clean, and beautiful. Kathy and Mike were great. The cabin has everything you need. The views were wonderful if you like the quite peaceful country setting this is the place. My daughters (18 and 19yr old city girls) absolutely loved it. The beds were comfortable. I loved the inside of the cabin too. Takes you back in time like your at mom and dads or for some of you your grandparents or great grandparents. It’s spacious so you don’t feel like your on top of each other. Loved sitting on the porch and by the fire pit out back. It was cold out but we can’t resist a good old campfire. We definitely are keeping this cabin as a place to come back too. I can’t think of one negative thing about this booking.

Amazing relaxing stay! Everything we were looking for.

What a beautiful place to spend our 40th Anniversary! We felt very much at home in this beautiful cabin. Spent most of our time on the screened in porch with coffee from a percolator after breakfast from the vintage stove! Lunch at the picnic table and steak supper off the gas grill with a glass of wine! It was stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat with. It was windy so didn't start up the fire pit. The outdoor shower rocked! Only a short drive to one of our favorite places, The Boathouse at Stockton. This cabin was comfortable for the two of us but could see having a "family" weekend here! Tastefully decorated with vintage pieces. There are even books to read and games and puzzles. Kathy checked in once to see if we needed anything. Her chocolate chip cookies were the icing on the cake! Thanks for the great weekend! We will be telling all of our friends!

A Perfect Getaway

My partner and I needed this time away from the distractions of home and work. This space was perfect for that opportunity. We were able to unplug, relax, and unwind. Our hosts were welcoming, attentive and communicative, and they were nearby if we needed anything but otherwise left us to our own, which is exactly how we wanted it. We were able to explore the area at our leisure, but we mostly spent time in the cute, cozy cabin, on the deliciously cool screened-in porch, or out at the firepit under the amazing starry sky. We didn't think we'd try the outdoor shower as the weather was a bit on the cooler side, but we actually did and found it a great novelty! We also enjoyed watching the cows in the pasture (and our small dog was quite curious about them). The place has a great kitchen with all the necessary items for cooking/baking, including some spices, flour, sugar, and other items likely left by previous guests. We were able to easily make meals which was an added bonus. Thank you!

Great cabin real close to Stockton lake. Went with a bunch of friends for a lake weekend and was amazing but would also recommend this place for a couple on a leisure weekend getaway

Nice cozy cabin

The cabin is very nice and well taken care of. Nice secluded, country setting only a few minutes from a boat ramp. Kathy is good to work with and just a text away if you need anything.

Fathers Day Gift

We stayed here as a gift for my husband. We went fishing at Stockton Lake every day. The cabin was perfect, nostalgic with modern amenities, the host was sweet and kind when she checked us in. We saw cows every night, we grilled out, beds were great, outside shower amazing. We will come back it was absolutely perfect.

Perfect Father’s Day Retreat

This cabin is right up at the top of places to stay in Stockton Lake area! The cabin is off by its self in a quite country area so your sure to enjoy all nature has to offer. Decor that is simply divine! Enjoy cooking on the vintage stove and then enjoy your meals on the screened in porch! Our kids (and adults) enjoyed a short drive to the swim beach and coming back to enjoy the outdoor shower! It’s life changing after a day at the lake. If your looking for a unique cabin, look no further this is the spot for you!

Sister Time

My sister and I met here for a few days of relaxing and visiting as we had not seen each other in over three years. We had stayed here before with family and like the peaceful country setting of the cabin which has all the amenities of home. The host are very accommodating and available if needed. We are looking forward to a third stay here.
