Adobe remodelado de 120 años, en el histórico pueblo de Nuevo México

Una casa de adobe completamente remodelada de 1100 pies cuadrados, con un dormitorio grande y una cocina totalmente equipada, sala de estar y baño con ducha. Situado en High Road to Taos en la histórica Truchas New Mexico. Las ventanas grandes en el dormitorio enmarcan completamente la vista de los picos de Truchas, que a 13.100 pies dominan el campo circundante. También hay un portal cubierto adicional de 400 pies para relajarse durante la hora del desayuno o la hora feliz.

El adobe fue completamente remodelado hace 10 años con una nueva cocina y baño, muchos de los elementos antiguos como las vigas y las paredes de adobe se conservaron. La casita está equipada con detalles tradicionales, como muebles tallados a mano, paredes enyesadas y suelos de madera.

Los paneles solares también se han instalado en los últimos 3 años para reducir nuestra huella de carbono.

Its hard to imagine anywhere better to stay if you are in search of beauty, solitude and grace. The hosts were perfect, the property magical. The listing is way understated, this is the place you have been looking for if you want to take in the beauty of the high road and make a few wonderful meals for yourself.

Enjoyable weekend casita getaway

This beautifully restored adobe is perfect for a peaceful, quiet getaway. We loved taking long walks in the cool clean air and resting in the lovely patio with a gorgeous view of the mountain scenery. When we could tear ourselves away from our comfortable nest, it wa a short trip to Chimayo and its sacred and culinary attractions. The road to Taos is longer but scenic and interesting. Owners Annette and Ben are the best hosts!

Taos Adobe

The property is absolutely beautiful and it was very calming and comfortable. Ben was very responsive to our communication. The property was beautifully furnished and the owner shared fresh eggs with us. Everything was just as it was listed and check- in was simple. We will love to stay here again.

Lovely Cabin and Great Views!

Beautiful, well maintained cabin perfect for a few days vacation. We loved the porch where we sat and watched the sky in the evening. It is a bit out there though so come prepared with whatever you will need.

This is a beautiful casita with a great Mountain View! The owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had, and everything we needed was provided, such as paper products, cleaners & coffee. The place was really clean and comfortable. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

Northen New Mexico Gem!

Pictures do not due it justice! A perfect gem in northern New Mexico. Nearby lakes for kayaking/fishing, walking distance to art galleries and historic town. Hosts were delightful and very accommodating! Making this an annual stay!

Absolutely wonderful

The house was gorgeous including the furniture; a New Mexican palace! The location in Truchas was beautiful and the views of the mountains from the back porch were stunning! It was beautifully quiet and the air was clean and sweet. We would love to visit again!

Beautiful restored adobe house

Lovely natural setting with views. The restored adobe house is spacious, beautifully decorated with Southwest flair. Well-functioning kitchen, nice living room and comfortable bedroom. It was quiet, private, and tranquil!

Relaxing getaway

This is our 3rd stay, and we will be back next year. The house is beautiful and we love sitting on the patio watching light play on the mountains. The hosts are wonderful—thanks for fresh eggs! It’s an easy and lovely drive to Chimayo or even Taos and nice to retreat back into the quiet of this property.

We wanted to find a place that was close to Taos, Santa Fe and Abiquiu and Truchas seemed like the perfect place. I had never heard of Truchas before, but immediately fell in love with the place and the Casita when I saw it on Vrbo. Usually we stay in town, either Taos or Santa Fe so this was different as it is very secluded in a good way. We live outside a small town in Texas so we were used to having to drive a bit for groceries or restaurants. 30 minutes for both. The casita is a work of art! The furniture and woodwork in the house is amazing, as well as the smooth, calming adobe walls. Extremely peaceful and perfect as our landing place after exploring Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, Taos and Santa Fe.

The house was originally built in the late 1800's by my wife's family. It originally started as a one room adobe, then over the years rooms were added on. When we purchased it 10 years ago it was a three bedroom one bathroom home with last family having 6 kids raised.

We remodeled it into a one bedroom guest house - it is a totally detached home (roughly 150 yards from our house) on an acequia (dating to the 1750's). Attached are pastures where the family has bailed alfalfa for many years.
