Enjoy our Shady Oaks, a cute cabin-style get-away for those wishing to enjoy the tranquil breeze & beautiful sunsets! We offer peace & quiet for travelers who want to bask in the warmth of our seasons! Mature shade trees, refreshing A/C, and access to the pool!
Located in La Mirada Country Estates, on the Western outskirts of Harlingen.
18 minutes to Harlingen Airport; 35 minutes to McAllen Airport; 11 minutes to Mercedes outlets; 45 minutes to South Padre Island; 1 Hour to SpaceX Launch.

THE SPACE:
The open floor plan allows you and your guests to spread out between the TV area, front room, or dining room. Whether you’re staying for a short visit, or staying long term, the functional and well-stocked kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and keeping your stay on a budget! Get a great night’s rest on our comfortable Queen-size bed! The outside has mature trees and well-maintained lawns, offering a shady spot to hang out or enjoy the breeze.
ENTERTAINMENT:
The home has access to WiFi for your laptop, and smart TVs with apps you can sign into. Guests also have access to La Mirada’s community swimming pool, and access to their library of books, board games, and puzzles.
KITCHEN SUPPLIES:
The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials, including serving dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, griddle, toasters, microwave, blender, coffee maker, mixing bowls, measuring cups, strainers, and basic spices.
TOIELETRIES AND LINENS:
We have bathing towels, hand towels, and rags. We have extra linens and blankets. We also supply dish soap, scrubbers, cleaning rags, and basic cleaning supplies. We do supply large generic shampoo and body wash; but you may want to bring your own if you have a particular brand you prefer to use.
LAUNDRY ROOM:
The La Mirada Country Estates community has a coin-operated laundromat with commercial washers and dryers by the swimming pool, allowing you to do a lot of washing in a short time.
PARKING:
Guests have free parking spaces in front of the home for two vehicles.
CHECK-OUT DUTIES:
This is your vacation time, and we want you to be able to relax and enjoy your stay with us! In return, we do ask for a few simple check-out tasks to help us prepare the home in time for the next guests, as well as to help us keep our costs down so that we can continue to offer the home at a budget-friendly rate! In preparation for your departure, we ask if you can place all used towels in the laundry room, wash any dishes you used, and take the trash out. We’ll take care of the rest!
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have the entire home and yard for themselves. The commercial laundry room, swimming pool, and club-house are shared with the La Mirada Country Estates community.

OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
La Mirada Country Estates is a family friendly mobile home and RV park. Even though we allow families in the community, the property is very quiet, with neighbors respecting each other’s privacy and quiet time. The property has friendly on-site managers that can help you to plan for activities or places to visit.
Harlingen/McAllen area has shopping, nightlife, museums, outdoor recreation areas, a science center, as well as many locales where birdwatchers can find endemic and migratory species.

Interaction with Guests:
We have onsite management and maintenance available Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
