Before heading to bed, you may want to borrow a book from the shelf for some late night vacation reading.

About Vacasa, ID - McCall Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

We enjoyed the beautiful views that the Kearney Cabin offered, although with very few window coverings the flip side is lack of privacy. But the cabin itself is lovely and feels spacious and quaint all at once. The woods surrounding are vast, and yet there are other cabins near enough by that you don't feel too isolated. The heater system works well, but there is also a wood burning stove if you care to bring your own firewood. The little organ under the stairs was a happy surprise, as was the well stocked kitchen equipment. Getting the internet to connect was a challenging unhappy surprise, as was the loud unexpected blasts of noise from the water heater. But after a few phone calls the next day it connected, and as soon as we figured out where the sounds was coming from the water heater didn't bother us too much. Overall we enjoyed our time there and had a fun experience.
Very clean. Wonderful views and accommodations! Easy to find and not too close to town. Would highly recommend staying at the Kearney Cabin for sure!
The cabin was cozy and the wood burning stove was amazing. Had a big yard and we loved that we didn't look out to neighbors and had big windows to look out as it snowed the whole time. Would definitely stay in this cabin again.
Awesome Cabin, But Needs Some TLC!
We loved the location of this cabin and also how family-friendly it was! We especially appreciated things like the booster seat and play pen that were available for us to use. Our four young kiddos had an absolute blast running around and playing. While we loved the house and the property/location, we found a lot of mouse droppings, especially in the kitchen (we had to pre-wash everything!), there was garbage scattered throughout the yard, and even though this was listed as a non-smoking rental, there were several cigarette butts on the upstairs deck. There were also a lot of dead flies, and a neighbor dog who came around every day. Our kiddos are very young, so it made me nervous to have a strange dog coming around constantly.
I would love to say that we were perfectly happy, but honestly for the price I would have expected it to be cleaner and the property more well cared for.
It was an unfortunate discovery that the guest prior to this visit had violated the non-smoking policy. We did our best to dispose of all cigarette butts and apologize for overlooking the deck. While the weather is turning cold it can become a common discovery of mice entering a home. We are always working toward eliminating this finding and we apologize for this discovery. We work hard to honor our home owner's requests to enforce polices of non-smoking and no pets. The ongoing challenge can be to thwart neighborhood dogs that may be roaming free. There is no leash laws to help us and at times the result can be dogs getting into trash and coming onto other homeowners' properties. We prefer an occasional deer; however, dogs and bears can be an issue here in the mountains.
Nice and spacious with a quiet location
Overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay. Location is great. Very quiet. Spacious home.
The bed in the loft wasn't really a bed and was incredibly uncomfortable. I'm still sore today and it's been two nights since we were there. It's some homemade wooden boxes turned into a bed frame with a futon mattress topped with a mattress then topped again with another futon....???? Strange. There was two plastic chairs on the deck and a few folding chairs in the garage but that was all for "patio furniture". Very lacking there.
Beautiful cabin and surrounding area!
Such a beautiful and comfortable cabin! Thank you so much for the stay!
