Why Christina Gaub chose Montana

This home is one of two located on small ranch property in a rural community that we purchased to get away from the bigger city and live a slower paced life. It has allowed our children to enjoy the things the country has to offer with a variety of pets from cows & horses, to rabbits, chickens and even a salamander!

What makes this farmhouse unique

This home is in a great location to be away from all the hussle and bustle and relax if that is what you need. But the amenities you need are only a short drive away along with things to keep you busy such as golf, swimming, or shopping. Or if you are a sportsman, right out the front door there are many options for you to explore.

Baker, Montana

An old farmhouse equipped with everything you may need for you trip. Very clean and well kept. The owners are very close to assist you with anything you may need, but you have total privacy. The house is around 12 miles from the town of Baker if you need to buy groceries or supplies.

I was there for 8 days in a hunting trip and my overall experience was wonderful. Will definitely stay again. Thanks Christina!

Ours was a girls trip! We came from Denver and North Dakota! Everything we needed was provided in the home. We also went to Medora ND to shop and went to the pitch fork fondue and watched a musical. Definitely a must to see. Christina was very kind and helpful. Loved it

Charming old farmhouse with modern amenities

  • 5 of 5

The old farmhouse is charming, and the history of the structure has been retained. The house has been updated to include air conditioning, all main kitchen appliances, and a washer/dryer. We are a family of 5; our children loved having the upstairs to themselves (and they loved playing cards in the evenings at the upstairs poker table). The beds were very comfortable. The farmhouse was very clean and well-kept. Our recent stay in July 2016 was nice - though the farmhouse is right on the property of the owners (right across the driveway), there is a great amount of privacy. The owners are nearby if you need them for anything, and if you don't need their assistance with something, they are very respectful of the privacy of their guests. The area is very quiet and the view of the rolling hills extends for miles. I agree with the Owners' statement on the booking site that the water is very minerally -- they recommend that guests bring drinking water if the taste is not preferred. The kitchen is indeed stocked with some basic cooking supplies and most seasonings that one would want. The town of Baker is not far (about 10-15 minutes), and that is the closest location for groceries, supplies, etc. We arrived fairly late at night on a Sunday, and not knowing if the stores in Baker would be open at that time, we brought our groceries from a larger city on the way. However, it is an easy, quick drive to Baker if you need something. Wibaux is a little further (around 30 minutes), but it is also an easy drive. We spent some time in Glendive and went to Mikoshika State Park and went on a privately-owned dinosaur fossil dig -- which was an amazing experience. Overall, our experience and stay were wonderful. We would rent this property again.

Cute old farm house stocked with everything you would need for a one or several nights stay. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Views for days! The owner was helpful and friendly! We enjoyed our stay very much! Thanks again!
