"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was excellent, the house was spotless, well-appointed, and perfect for two couples and a pet. The A/C and all appliances worked flawlessly. Upon arrival, we noticed the advertised beach chairs were missing, but the host responded immediately and delivered chairs and an umbrella within 12 hours—amazing service! One thing to note: the available parking can be tricky to navigate because of deep sand, so take care not to get stuck. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again!"

Back to School - Last Hooray

We had a great long weekend. Finally got the college kids all in one spot to enjoy 2 awesome days on the beach, fishing, sunning, laughing and enjoying the great water and gorgeous moon!

Some quirks but overall awesome

There were lots of things we loved about our stay and the best thing was you literally walk out the door and are on the beach in 100 feet. It's a great beach with soft sand and though the beach is so close, we never heard any noise from other people out there. The exterior door to the desk was working great (some earlier reviews said it was stuck) and I thought it looked new. We ate and hung out on the deck all the time and enjoyed the ocean view (they had great outdoor furniture). That being said, even though we had read in the reviews that parking was hard without a 4x4 and even though we rented a 4x4 Jeep SUV, the sand was so deep and loose in the driveway that we never dared park there. There was a small spot across the street from the driveway where we parked with no problems throughout our stay though, so it worked for us. Though it's older, it was clean and there were a lot of updates throughout. The layout was great for families, with parents upstairs and kids down. Beds were comfy and there were options on the pillows (some thick and some thin) - if you are in your 40s like us and that matters :)

Location!

This location could not be more perfect for a beachfront house with easy beach access. The interior was well maintained and clean, among the best of many houses we’ve rented in Galveston. The host was responsive and cordial. Unfortunately, the listing photos are outdated. The exterior stairs are not in great shape and there was no gate on the deck as shown in the listing photos. The host did quickly resolve this, having a baby gate installed so our toddler could safely use the deck. However, the host did not provide us a key to access the fishing pier even though this is noted as an amenity in the listing. Since we are a fishing family and this amenity was important to us, I started asking 5 days ahead of check-in to make sure we’d have access, which I was assured we would. I continued to communicate throughout our stay, but we were never provided the key card required to access the fishing pier. Had I known we wouldn’t really have the access promised, I would’ve considered other rental properties. But, if you’re only interest is the beachfront, this is a great location!

Excellent property

My family and i stayed here for 4 days and we had a great time. The property was in an excellent location. You literally just walk outside and walk to the beach in less than a minute. The house was decorated beautifully with perfect views of the ocean and it was so peaceful and quiet. I would definitely come back here again.

Great house

The house was very clean and well equipped. Location was great - access to the beach was perfect and it was an easy drive to the store, strand, restaurants.

Needs work

First on when arriving to property, we followed instructions to locate lock box to retrieve key but was u able to open it probably due to corrosion from beach/ocean. Contacted property manager who took awhile calling us back to be told in a flippant manner to enter door code. That is not what emailed instructions said. The property was cheaply put together by amateurs trying to make a buck. Cheap fixtures & flooring, floors uneven, handle broke off refrigerator, & BEWARE rusty nails sticking up from main outside staircase leading up to property. Definitely don’t have kids here.Parking also is not good. Very sandy driveway. Always held my breath when leaving there thinking I would get stuck. Ended up parking up road on pavement. This is only house with driveway on this side. Location was far away from anything other then houses, was always driving.They said there was pool & other amenities with keys located in house that we never saw-don’t think they exist.Paid a lot of for less then average place.

Excellent View

The beach view, and quite area was what I truly needed. the house had all the amenities you need to make you comfortable, and the location is excellent. The maintenance and cleaning needs to be stepped up a bit. the showerhead in the downstairs bath did not work well, the toilet seats need replacing, and I pulled out a pan with baked on food from the cabinet. It didn't hamper my stay, but could have made things so much more enjoyable. The location more than makes up for it, close to restaurants, stores, sunset photos, etc. Many people were getting stuck in the sand on the road that runs alongside the driveway. I did not attempt to drive to the beach because of this, but reading other reviews, brought a shovel. In the evening, everyone leaves the beach and you have the entire place to yourself. It is a beautiful, safe area.

Our family had a great time on our trip here! Cozy beds and nice open floorplan. Stairs had some nails that need to be hammered down more and were missing the bottom step. Other than that things were nice.

Great place to spend Thanksgiving

We booked the house for our family to spend Thanksgiving at the beach. It did not disappoint! Check in was smooth, the house was really nice, and was exactly as described. We will definitely be back!

Wouldnt recommend

The good: the location is a front row house right in the water with an incredible view. Its dog friendly It was very well-stocked with plenty of linens and soaps- basically everything we needed except trash bags. The inside of the house has a nice open layout for the common areas and private bedrooms The bad: like another review said, the sand is way too deep in front of the driveway that you cannot park in the driveway. We had to park off to the side of the public access road. I did not feel my car was very secure this way. I attenpted to contact the management company twice with no response. The upstairs toilet did not flush. The house has not been kept up and taken care of the way one would expect. The upstairs closet door literally fell on me. Overall, the parking situation, upstairs toilet and lack of communication from the management company,are the reasons I wouldnt stay there again.

Great location perfect spot

Place stayed cool despite baking in the sun all day. Access to the beach was private and very nice. We ate inside and outside on the picnic table. This was a perfect spot with gorgeous views, great beds, nice sheets and plenty of kitchen gadgets and cookware for everything. We made all our meals while there and it was perfect. The house is now blue though!
