Plazamar is a privately owned and operated 33 unit condo complex located in the heart of the Romantic Zone in Old Town Puerto Vallarta. It is located just a couple of steps from the beach, a minutes walk to dozens of fantastic restaurants and galleries, and located right on a gorgeous park plaza. The building is gated and private for your safety and to take you away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. There is a receptionist on site 24 hours a day as well as a full-time building administrator and maintenance staff to take care of any needs you may have during your stay. The building has been recently renovated and includes a relaxing lobby area and atrium garden, a rooftop pool, grilling area, as well as a game room, and laundry. The views from above are sure to take your breath away!

This unit is located on the 5th floor (yes there is an elevator) and is a two bedroom two bathroom corner unit perfect for two couples or a family looking to be in the best location in town. The front bedroom has a comfortable king size bed while the back bedroom has two twin beds and a queen size bed allowing 6 guests to enjoy the space. The unit comes fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay including items to prepare meals at home, as well as towels and linens, bottled purified water, TVs, DVD players and some DVDs, a stereo to connect you iPod to, and small music library of CDs, books and games, and maid service is three times a week. You'll spend hours on the wrap around patio enjoying not only the view of ocean but also the mountain side and plaza park area below which hosts a lovely Saturday Market.

About Jordan MacPherson

Roger and Nancy were both born and raised on Mercer Island, Washington. They both attended Washington State University. (Go Cougs!) Together they own a construction and design company in Sammamish, WA. Their first trip to Puerto Vallarta was over 30 years ago, and they couldn't help but go back. They fell in love with the area with its unparalleled views, fantastic restaurants, and vibrant culture. They purchased #504 in 2002 from Roger's mom and stepdad, Sharon and Ron Selset, who were one of the original owners in the building. Their daughter Jordan handles the rentals. Roger and Nancy couldn't be more thrilled with their condo and to share it with you.

What makes unit 504 unique is the location. There is no where else you would want to be. Being on the 5th floor in a corner unit allows incredible views and additional privacy. Not to mention the condo was recently remodeled, designed by Roger, and is one of the nicest in the building. Roger and Nancy are also art collectors and the condo is outfitted with works from local artists.

Best Location Imaginable

If you want to stay in the heart of PV, this is the condo for you. How fun to trot down to the local eateries, get our lunch or appetizers, and enjoy the rooftop deck. The view is picturesque. The condo itself was a home away from home. We are a family of 6 and we still could get away from each other. Ideally located to pickups for excursions, banks, shopping, eating, you name it. The staff downstairs couldn't have been more helpful with recommendations. You'll love it!

Fabulous condo in the best part of PV

I noted from previous reviews that many clients loved this unit (504) so much that they have chosen to return year after year. After this, our 1st stay, I can certainly see why. The condominiums are built in a beautiful style, complete with stucco, brick, and many arched doorways and features. The interior Of unit 504 is savious, lovely, full of carefully chosen short, carefully maintained and loved by the owners. We loved staying there. Immediately outside were a number of very good restaurants, shops, a bookstore and coffee shop. Unfortunately, there is a fabulous gelato spot next door to the building....way, way too convenient. We really enjoyed our stay, and cannot wait to come back. It's right on the beach, and makes for a perfect vacation.

Sad and dissappointed

We were extremel;y disappointed not only in the fact that the pool was undergoing maintenance and not available for the entire time we were there, but the fact that you and or VRBO knew this and advertised a rooftop pool came with the unit. If we had known this we certainly would not have booked. ..we feel we should receive some sort of reimbursement ..

Owner's Response: Unfortunately, the maintenance project on the pool was not quite complete when these guests arrived in September as they faced some unexpected delays in the repair. As owners, we let the guests know it was possible the pool would not be available for their stay, but never heard back from them. They were allowed to use a neighboring pool, but we did realize that it was not ideal... We did send an email to the guests offering a partial refund as it was definitely unacceptable to not have access to the proper pool, but never heard anything back from the guests. The good news is that the pool is 100 percent complete now.

Plaza Mar

We have been renting unit 504 for nearly 20 years. We love it. It just gets better and better each time we go.

We have already booked it for Christmas and New Years in 2017. Can hardly wait to get back. PLaza Mar has the perfect location. You can walk to all the best restaurants and shopping.

Found a new restaurant that we didn't know about for our last night. BIstro Teresa. It was excellent. And we love going back to some old favorites. Couldn't have been a more relaxing two weeks.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. Perfect location, beautiful property and caring owners. The terrace in this condo is HUGE and wraps around two sides with ocean views that are amazing, as well as mountain views. You really feel like you are in the middle of everything when you open up the french doors and windows, feel the ocean breeze, and hear the sounds of the city muffled by the ocean waves below. Good place for a couple, girls trip and a family. We took our two year old the first time with no problems other than Hurricane Patricia who decided to visit our last day. The restaurants and beach access makes this location ideal. You will not regret renting this condo!

Located in the romantic Old Town section of Puerto Vallarta, this condo is in one of the most beautiful buildings on the beach. It has the old-world Mexican charm blended with all the conveniences you need to enjoy your vacation. It is a privately-owned secure building in an incredible location, at the south end of the Malecon, right next to Lazaro Cardenas Park. Some of the most authentic restaurants in Puerto Vallarta and the finest art galleries are just a couple minutes walk. And it is just a few minutes further along the beach to the pier, where many daily water excursions depart.

Plaza Mar is not a timeshare or a hotel. There is no walk-in traffic or large travel groups checking in at midnight. It is gated and private for your protection and to take you away from the entire outside world. Plaza Mar is a peaceful retreat away from home with many year-round residents. This is not the place for 'spring breakers,' who would be happier downtown near the clubs or at one of the resorts out in the Hotel Zone. Come & enjoy.
