Ubicado a solo 30 minutos de dos universidades, el Instituto Militar de Virginia y Washington y Lee, así como el Centro Ecuestre de Virginia.

Disfrute de la pesca desde la cubierta justo afuera de la puerta principal o de una caminata en el Área de Administración de Vida Silvestre de Little North Mountain que consta de 56,000 acres donde abunda la vida silvestre. Hay pistas de senderos convenientes cerca para realizar tantas caminatas como desee.

Convenientemente ubicado entre Staunton y Lexington, a unos 45 minutos del Omni Homestead Resort y el campo de golf Sam Snead.

La cabina tiene un dormitorio principal con una cama doble, un altillo en el piso superior con una cama doble y una cama doble, área de descanso familiar de tamaño moderado, cocina con mesa para seis y dos taburetes en una barra de cocina, un baño completo con ducha y una Medio baño fuera de la cocina.

Estacionamiento cubierto, así como una zona de asientos cubiertos fuera de la entrada principal. Un pozo de fuego se encuentra afuera para fuegos de leña y asar a la parrilla. Hay aproximadamente dos millas de senderos privados para caminar y disfrutar de la vida silvestre. We stayed in this cabin for our second anniversary in 2007. When we move back to the area, I hunted it down so we could stay in it again for our 20th anniversary. A few things have been updated but ultimately it was pretty much the same and Is the perfect peaceful getaway place!

Peaceful, Serene, and Tranquil Property!

This property is truly amazing! The owners were so accommodating and very detailed with instructions on checking in. The cabin is FULLY stocked with EVERYTHING! There’s a large charcoal grill and all the kitchen gadgets you could possibly need. The A/C is ice cold and the rooms are large and roomy. Okay, the star of the show is the outdoor scene at this cabin. The lake, the deck, the rocking chairs, looking out onto all of the green acreage that this property sits on- it is utterly breathtaking. The pictures don’t do it justice. Words alone cannot adequately describe the awesomeness of this place. We loved it and it was just what we needed for a weekend of ultimate relaxation, peace, quiet, and decompressing. 10/10 WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Beautiful

This is a beautiful home in the country. The host are amazing and very attentive. We loved the quiet and peaceful property. If you like to get away this is your place to go. You can fish in the pond and take a lot of walks in the forest. Make sure you bring your food and supplies so you don't have to go back into town. Enjoy!

Our family had a great time staying at this cabin! It is stunning and clean! The pond right off the deck is perfect for the fishermen in the family while the walking trails and nearby farm animals were pure joy for our little one.

It was like staying at a mountain resort. The inside is clean and the decor is like being in a resort lodge. It was so peaceful and quiet. A perfect place to relax and unwind. We are already planning our next trip there.

Great Place to unwind

Extra nice place with nice decor and private setting. I master bedroom and a bedroom in the loft. The shower/tub is in the master bedroom area, so be aware of that when you book.

It was fantastic and we loved to walk in the nature and enjoy the view, the horses were really friendly and the pond near there looked beautiful. The cabin was really cozy and very organized and there were many board games to choose from.Overall it was an amazing trip and I recommend coming here!!

We loved this cabin and location! It was super calm and peaceful. The cabin decor and the pond made for a perfect country/woods atmosphere that we were looking for. The cabin was stocked well and so we didn’t need anything additional for our stay except food. The TV is a flat screen and a Roku was provided. We ate in Lexington and picked up groceries at the Lexington Walmart. We went to the Natural Bridge Caverns which was very cool. The owner’s were responsive as well. We enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the pond with our wine in the evenings. I highly recommend that you stay here wether you are looking for a romantic weekend or are a nature lover!

We Loved Everything About This Property!

Our family truly enjoyed a relaxing vacation in the mountains of Virginia! We were attending a horse show at the Virginia Equestrian Center. Normally we like to stay within 10-15 minutes of the venue, but because of graduation at VMI, we had to expand our search. This is when we found this gem of a property! Tucked away in the mountains, our cell reception was a bit spotty but the GPS had no trouble guiding us to the location. Narrow, windy roads took us through small towns established in the 1700's and 1800's, which added to the charm of the area! The property itself was modern construction, well built and had plenty of space for our family of 5. It was obvious it was well cared for - very clean and had everything we needed. We played with the football and volleyball, explored the property's trails and even took out the small boat around the lake a couple times. We saw squirrels, chipmunks, birds, deer, possum, rabbits, raccoons, and of course, the horses that graze in the pasture. We prepared breakfast every morning at the house and ate lunch and dinner in Lexington. The house had everything we needed, including fast and reliable wifi. The owner was in contact with us before and during our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This is a wonderful place to stay off the grid for families that want to get away from life for a little while and enjoy quality family time and nature.

Does not dissappoint

Second time staying at mountainpond cabin. Awesome place. Peaceful, quietness and absolutely beautiful are just a few words to describe this cabin. Just can't rent a better place than this.

Beautiful property

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. We were hoping for a relaxing get away and that's just what we got. We really enjoyed the the decor and set up of the cabin, our kids LOVED getting to stay up in the loft. The cabin has several trails you can do without leaving the property and the small pond was just perfect to be able to sit out on the deck and enjoy. Our first day before check in time we went to Rockbridge Vineyard and enjoyed some time there before getting to the cabin. I was a bit nervous about wifi reliability of wifi at the cabin but we had no problems. It was about a 30 min drive into Lexington and we drove into town for a carriage ride and learned about some of the history and had a fun walk around to some art stores and a nice meal. The outside grill/fire pit was fun and the kids (ok and me too!) roasted marshmallows as we watched the moon rise right over the pond. Great visit, I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Cabin in Secluded Location

Beautiful cabin and gorgeous setting. The decor is stunning, we truly felt like we were in a mountain lodge, with high ceilings, wooden furniture, and more. We also loved walking the trails on the grounds. One issue we had is that we didn't have cell reception (not a problem) but we couldn't find any info on the wifi passcode when we got there. And we couldn't call or communicate in any way since we didn't have reception. After some searching we found a sheet of paper in a closet with the password but it was not clearly visible. So make sure you have all that before you go!
