Located on the border between Marche and Umbria, halfway between Gubbio and Urbino in the municipality of Cagli, the farm La Ferraia extends for over twenty hectares; the land is used for cereal crops, fruit trees and small animal breeding. The area is rich in forests, streams, and nature is uncontaminated. The fully renovated cottage can accommodate up to 30 guests in ten rooms furnished in the old style, and with independent bathroom. A large room used for reading and conversation can also host small meetings. A swimming pool with large solarium is available to guests who can make nature walks in the woods, streams.

Accoglienza e comodità nel pieno della natura degli Appennini

Con il mio numeroso gruppo di amici abbiamo passato alla Ferraia gli ultimi giorni delle vacanze di Natale in modo fantastico! La casa è grande pulita e comoda, sia per le camere ognuna con il proprio bagno, sia perchè situata lungo la strada asfaltata che porta al vicino paese di Pianello. Nonostante la vicinanza della strada, il luogo è davvero tranquillo e immerso nella natura. La cucina non è molto grande, ma in compenso all'esterno sono presenti il forno a legna e un posto per cucinare alla brace, decisamente funzionali e di grande soddisfazione! Ringrazio molto la calorosa accoglienza e disponibilità del gestore e del proprietario dell'agriturismo. Speriamo tutti di tornare presto a trovarli.

A fabulous countryside retreat in genuine Italian style

We were a group of 26 (19 children and 7 adults) travelling for 5 days. We were greeted as old friends at 3 in the morning by the staff at the house (Loris is an angel!). Shopping was already done from us from fabulous local producers. The water was drinkable from the tap. Very few insects if that is a concern. Fabulous fresh mountain aif and wonderful views. We couldn't have been made more welcome and the house and pool were PERFECT for our group. All in all a perfect trip.

I spent Christmas with my extended Italian family (26 people of all ages) at La Ferraia and had a wonderful experience! As the American relative living in the U.S., booking a farmhouse for my wife's big Italian family had me a little nervous to say the least. But La Ferraia was outstanding, and I really felt proud to have been able to organize this family event with my wife at this beautiful facility. Loris and Gilfredo went above and beyond all expectations, anticipating our needs and ensuring our visit was excellent in all respects. They definitely know how to make guests feel at home, and work hard to ensure everything goes smoothly. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, with all the extras - great wifi throughout the property. The kitchen and outdoor barbeque were perfectly equipped to allow us to cook several big meals for the whole family. The fireplace was warm and inviting, perfect for late night conversations. We loved the surrounding nature, and enjoyed visiting nearby Cagli. At the end of our stay, we would have loved to extend it for a few more days, but some in the family had to get back to work, and the property was booked. We would have been happy to stay another month! We can't wait to come back and enjoy La Ferraia in the summertime, and to try out the new restaurant they are preparing to open. Thank you again Loris and Gilfredo for a truly memorable Christmas 2018 at La Ferraia!!
