3bd home in Mt. Pleasant; near festivals, biking, skiing.
Child/pet/work friendly. Ready for a “back to simpler times” get away for your family yet still have the modern amenities of streamed TV and WiFi along with a designated workspace? Spend time playing board games, puzzles, legos, reading or get outside and enjoy the covered porch with a view of the mountains and beautiful sunsets. Play ball, tag or even sledding in the 1 acre yard. Bake cookies together in the well equipped kitchen (ingredients provided to do so). Enjoy all the area has to offer- quaint coffee shops, good restaurants, festivals, beautiful fall foliage, skiing nearby, and an easy drive to downtown Pittsburgh. Would also be well for someone in town with work. This 3 bedroom 1 bath home was built by my grandfather and previously owned by my aunt who loved to host family reunions. This is more than a rental- it is a home where most things have a story behind them. Carrying on Aunt Betty’s warm hospitality, we welcome you.

Richelle was an amazing host to work with for this VRBO.. there was a few minor mixups with the app and she went above and beyond to try and make everything work! The house and location were perfect as well, with attention to every detail to fit any member of your family even the furry family members ..such a pleasure to work with and very personable with excellent communication!! Will definitely use again!

Thank you very much. It was a pleasure and glad we could work out all the little kinks.
The host was very attentive. The home was well stocked on anything you might need and uniquely decorated. Convenient for our needs. Very nice rural quiet location. The back yard was perfect for our dog to run around. We would stay again.

Thank you. It was my pleasure. I am glad the home worked out for your particular needs.
I’ve stayed multiple times now. Very clean and comfortable. Host is always quickly available and helpful and pleasant. Pet friendly with big yard. Kitchen very well stocked. Modern appliances. Coffee, pods, sugar provided. Plenty of towels, blankets, throws. Air conditioning/kitchen ceiling fan, table fan. In a neighborhood and pleasant small town with restaurants. Good access to highways. Nice neighbors, yet privacy. Overall a very pleasant place to stay instead hotel. I really liked staying here if visiting or have business in the area. I was her first guest and any links were worked out very quickly. Thanks for a very nice stay.
Host was readily available for any questions or concerns and quickly addressed some maintenance that had to be done (such as filling oil tank due to extreme cold we had). She gave me plenty of notice and I could choose to be there or not. Living room was comfortable and I liked having a good working recliner. She also supplied a TV at my request before I had arrived. There are 3 bedrooms and games and toys and small table & chairs for toddlers. I cook in but I understand there are some nice coffee shops and restaurants in Mount Pleasant area. Everything was clean and neat. Plenty of supplies in kitchen. Appliances worked well. Overall quiet and safe area, tho you are very close to a busy 2lane road. Only noisy during busiest times of travel to and from work. Exercise caution if traveling with children and dog. Backyard is large. Think they’re on an acre. If stay longer, cleaning supplies are there and in winter a shovel and salt. There is garbage pickup. There is just one bath and a shower only, which some prefer anyhow. Good location not too far from Turnpike and I70 (66) and greensburg. The village Italian restaurant was highly recommended to me by someone who comes from Uniontown to eat there. But there is also the Tuscan. Both have full service bars. My dog and I were comfortable here. For me (and my dog) it is so much more comfortable than a hotel.
Adorable pet friendly rural cottage! It provided everything we needed for our stay to hike and hang with friends in the Pittsburgh area. Huge bonus that you can bring your four legged family! Richelle had everything ready for us. Booking and Communications prompt and easy. Affordable and easy to get around to explore hiking and coffee. Recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Richelle
Born and raised in the area, I love the genuine people here and the seasons of the year, especially the beautiful leaves of autumn and the snow in the winter as I am an avid skier.
Why they chose this property
The house is located in a quiet area with great neighbors. I enjoy walking on the road behind.
What makes this property unique
The property allows you the use of a whole house for about the same price as a hotel stay especially when you can save by preparing meals in a well appointed kitchen and have room to roam in the 1 acre yard.
