Why Ken and Anya Shortridge chose Myrtle Creek
We were looking to slow our pace of life down. Friends of ours lived here, and we came to visit. We instantly loved it just exiting the freeway as we saw the Myrtle Creek Bridge spanning the South Umpqua River. It is definitely small town living, however the nearest "big" town is just 15-20 minutes north - Roseburg. Why, it took us that long to go shopping in San Diego, with all of the stop lights and traffic! A leisurely mountain drive is much preferred. We love it here.
