About the property

5 Bedrooms, 1 Bonus Room, 3.5 Bathrooms, sleeps 12. Recommend max of 4 vehicles

A private steep paved road brings you up to the front steps of Blue Sky Vista, nestled on a mountainside amid 5 acres of forest and mountain laurels. It's private, but not in the boonies. Enjoy panoramic mountain views, including Mt. Pisgah, from the living room and expansive deck. You may see a magnificent sunset or enjoy the beauty of the early-morning clouds and mountain mist. The spacious post and beam house includes a large loft area, and there are bedrooms and a bathroom on all three levels. Cedar walls, exposed beams, and rustic Mexican tile bring a cozy-cabin atmosphere to the open living space, which has lots of windows and skylights. The eat-in kitchen is big and inviting and features a central island with a Keurig coffee maker and an assortment of K-cups. The furnishings are casual and comfortable, and it's easy to find a private spot for reading and relaxing. Outside, the deck offers plenty of space for entertaining, the yard's a great place for the kids to play, and a walking trail circles up the mountain to a bench from which you can enjoy a high-perch view. Why Jenny Brunet chose Blue Ridge Mountains

When we first saw this property, we were struck by the privacy (5 acres), the gorgeous views, and the unique house. The post and beam structure and Mexican tile is inviting and creates a lodge-like atmosphere.

What makes this house unique

Mountain views can be seen from the deck and living room. The new (summer 2014) hot tub that seats six and provides mountain views is hard to beat!

Wonderful all family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home with a great setting and view. We enjoyed the evening and nighttime views of the surrounding mountains from the expansive front deck and the hot tub.

We comfortably accommodated four families over the three floors of living quarters. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and private. Everything was clean and fresh.

There were several recreational spaces inside and out for games, puzzles, and TV. The kitchen was well appointed and a comfortable gathering place. We also appreciated the backyard charcoal grill.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family (4 adults and 4 children) spent three amazing nights at Blue Sky Vista. The home and the views are absolutely stunning, breath takingly stunning. The home is easily accessible, close to Asheville and all the fun and beauty NC has to offer. The home is also well appointed, and amazingly comfortable and homey- the towels, sheets, dishes, and decor are very well thought out. Honestly, we didn't want to leave, like never ever..ever leave. We hardly never visit or stay at the same place twice, Blue Sky Vista might become the exception. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you!

Everything you need for a first-rate vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and my in-laws from Wisconsin recently stayed at this beautiful home at the top of a mountain with a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's only 15 minutes away from all of the restaurants, shops and activities Asheville has to offer, and a mere half-hour from a day of ziplining and white water rafting, with many nearby hiking trails. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and a coffee and homemade ice cream shop are also close by, as well as two veterinarians if needed for our four dogs. (Fortunately, they weren't.)

The home includes a hot-tub, smart TV (one of three TV sets) and a large, well-equipped kitchen. Lots of windows provide plenty of light, and there are many spots to read or relax. Bathrooms are numerous (3 1/2) including one with a whirlpool tub and sauna.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and can't recommend this home enough. We appreciated the chance to share our vacation with our family and dogs. Thank you!

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had such a lovely stay. Our stay was June 10-17. It was so much fun having a kitchen fully stocked for our cooking adventure. My adult children loved cooking in it. The porch at night was so nice too. The view changed every night plus the hot tub was so relaxing. Now for the driveway that was a different story. LOL I know the men didn't mind, not so much us girls. Location was great too. Close to many amenities. Chimney Rock, Biltmore and downtown Asheville. Lots to do. Thank you!
