A private steep paved road brings you up to the front steps of Blue Sky Vista, nestled on a mountainside amid 5 acres of forest and mountain laurels. It's private, but not in the boonies. Enjoy panoramic mountain views, including Mt. Pisgah, from the living room and expansive deck. You may see a magnificent sunset or enjoy the beauty of the early-morning clouds and mountain mist. The spacious post and beam house includes a large loft area, and there are bedrooms and a bathroom on all three levels. Cedar walls, exposed beams, and rustic Mexican tile bring a cozy-cabin atmosphere to the open living space, which has lots of windows and skylights. The eat-in kitchen is big and inviting and features a central island with a Keurig coffee maker and an assortment of K-cups. The furnishings are casual and comfortable, and it's easy to find a private spot for reading and relaxing. Outside, the deck offers plenty of space for entertaining, the yard's a great place for the kids to play, and a walking trail circles up the mountain to a bench from which you can enjoy a high-perch view. Why Jenny Brunet chose Fairview
When we first saw this property, we were struck by the privacy (5 acres), the gorgeous views, and the unique house. The post and beam structure and Mexican tile is inviting and creates a lodge-like atmosphere.
What makes this House unique
Mountain views can be seen from the deck and living room. The new (summer 2014) hot tub that seats six and provides mountain views is hard to beat!

Annual UVA Roommate Reunion
UVA roommates annual reunion was spent at this lovely home. Amazing views, centrally located and very comfortable. We loved Asheville and surrounding area. So much to do, not enough time. I would definitely rent this home again.
Perfect Weekend, even in the rain!
This house was perfect for a girls' weekend. It rained a lot, but even with the clouds we spent time in the hot tub and just taking in the view on the deck. The house had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable, not to mention how clean it was! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone, and I will keep it in mind for future weekends.
Beautiful Home! Great Views!
We had a great time! The house was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The views were great!
Girls weekend in Asheville
This is a spacious place with beautiful views, a hot tub and sauna. It is a bit of a haul to Asheville however as it takes about 25 minutes and the road to the house is not that easy to get too. Very steep.
We came home later one night and took a wrong turn on one of the windy roads and had to try to back down. ( Signage needs to be better) Our car which was a rental, started slipping back on the gravel towards the edge. A bit nerve racking for us flat landers of Minnesota.
The wifi is hit or miss and I think that if should be aired out before guests arrive as it is a bit musty smelling. It was very clean but showing signs of wear and tear. I would however still recommend it you don't mind the steep roads to the place.
Whimsical Weekend in the Woods
We had a GREAT 3 day weekend at Blue Vista! The views are spectacular and the house is outfitted with everything and anything you might need. We had a bit of trouble with the internet, but Murphy was quick to respond. The hot tub is fantastic, everything was very clean, excellent kitchen for groups, and great location to all the sights. I had read about the driveway in previous reviews, but will say that it may be steep but it is fully paved and was drivable day or night. Thank you for a fantastic stay!!!!
Quaint home with a spectacular view.
This house has it all: beautiful view, a hot tub AND sauna AND fireplace, charming style, comfort, great kitchen for cooking, and plenty of space. There is great flow and an open floor plan , but with separation between the bedrooms for privacy. We had 3 generations staying here, and the main floor bedrooms were great for the grandparents. The furnishings and appliances are great; it feels like ones own home rather than one that is simply rented out. We had plenty of space for 2 families, and it is kid friendly and dog friendly. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, but a bit farther for some great hiking trails in Pisgah.
We had one problem of hearing mice, which is probably par for the course in the woods, but it can disrupt sleep, mostly heard in the basement bedrooms (but not seen). Also be warned of a very steep driveway; if you’re here during rain or snow, you probably need a 4 wheel drive, though we managed in our minivan on dry pavement.
Blue Sky Vista is easy-access to all Asheville area attractions. It's 7 miles to I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway, 10 miles to the Asheville Mall, 12 to downtown Asheville and to the Biltmore Estate. Twelve scenic miles in the other direction take you to Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. Blue Sky Vista is in a convenient location, is secluded and quiet, and is view-terrific in every season. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Fairview and is approximately 12 minutes to downtown Asheville.
