About the property

5 Bedrooms, 1 Bonus Room, 3.5 Bathrooms, sleeps 12. Recommend max of 4 vehicles

A private steep paved road brings you up to the front steps of Blue Sky Vista, nestled on a mountainside amid 5 acres of forest and mountain laurels. It's private, but not in the boonies. Enjoy panoramic mountain views, including Mt. Pisgah, from the living room and expansive deck. You may see a magnificent sunset or enjoy the beauty of the early-morning clouds and mountain mist. The spacious post and beam house includes a large loft area, and there are bedrooms and a bathroom on all three levels. Cedar walls, exposed beams, and rustic Mexican tile bring a cozy-cabin atmosphere to the open living space, which has lots of windows and skylights. The eat-in kitchen is big and inviting and features a central island with a Keurig coffee maker and an assortment of K-cups. The furnishings are casual and comfortable, and it's easy to find a private spot for reading and relaxing. Outside, the deck offers plenty of space for entertaining, the yard's a great place for the kids to play, and a walking trail circles up the mountain to a bench from which you can enjoy a high-perch view. Please see link at bottom of page for full video of property.

Why Jenny Brunet chose Blue Ridge Mountains

When we first saw this property, we were struck by the privacy (5 acres), the gorgeous views, and the unique house. The post and beam structure and Mexican tile is inviting and creates a lodge-like atmosphere.

What makes this house unique

Mountain views can be seen from the deck and living room. The new (summer 2014) hot tub that seats six and provides mountain views is hard to beat!

What a wonderful place for a family reunion/ gathering to celebrate our mothers 90th birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities that were provided. Lovely view, great house and convenient location. Recommend doing the Lake Lure Boat Tour!

Great College Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We are five women who were in college together many years ago, and now each year we have a reunion. This was our first time in the mountains and what a lovely place for a reunion. We all enjoyed ourselves. It had a big porch, beautiful vistas, a great hot tub, well appointed kitchen and much more. I would certainly recommend this home and hope to stay there again.

Magnificent View, Cozy Mountain Home with all the Amenities of a Top Rate Spa

  • 5 of 5

We spent our Christmas Holiday in your home overlooking the cascade of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Scenic hikes, outside spa, perfect location close to markets and day trips into any part of Asheville. Our two families of eight enjoyed the spacious bedrooms, plentiful bathrooms and the well-designed kitchen. Needless to say, we could not have picked a better mountain home for our fabulous week together. There was space for everyone to either be together or get some quiet time alone. Thank you for the amenities and attention to detail. We selfishly do not want to tell anyone about this find!

This cabin is everything! It has a warm, cozy and vibrant feel. The view from the back porch is incredible. We were lucky to have a sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid 50's in the middle of December, which made the hot tub quite enjoyable! The kitchen has everything you could need, and provides plenty of space for the whole crowd to cook and mingle together. We were able to park 6 cars on the parking pad and none of the guest had trouble getting up the hill, it was actually a fun drive!

I was speechless when I walked around the porch outside this wonderful home!! Unbelievable View!!! Every bedroom has a view too! The kitchen is overstocked with every pot, pan, glasses, serving dish and all utensils needed. A cooks dream!! The Fireplace was a focal point for all my kids every night, always setting the mood. Like New washer and dryer was a blessing. Short drive to Asheville and Airport. The owner was wonderful! I could not have asked for a better place to spend Thanksgiving with 10 Family members❤️

🍁🍂 Lovely mountain getaway 🍁🍂

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay. Absolutely loved the house and location. We stayed here and then went to the polar express in Bryson City. The house is an open floor plan. The views are magnificent. TV locations are a little odd but it encourages you to ditch the TV and be more social / active. We had fresh baked cookies when we arrived which were yummy. Great house for a large family get together. Small odor of moth balls (not sure why the were stored in the garage). Owners very responsive with questions about the house / area.

Beautiful home in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect site for a reunion getaway for me and my five best friends from grade school who all celebrate being 55 years young this year. We loved exploring the region during the day and sitting in the hot tub at night. We LOVED living i the mountains! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous home. Everything was perfect from the top notch furnishings to the quality dishes and cookware in a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding (we slept like logs). The sauna was warm and steamy. Nothing like sitting outside in a sauna when the air is cool and there is a panoramic view of mountains. Don't look any further. This is THE house!
