🎹 Your Private Jazz Experience
As a special welcome, we invite you to immerse yourself in the Blue Note experience. Spin a curated piece of vinyl on the record player and enjoy the ambiance. We kindly ask you to handle the albums with care, preserving this unique feature for every guest.
You'll have the entire 2nd floor apartment to yourselves—no one else has access. Keyless entry with your private code means easy self check-in through the blue door.
The backyard is shared with the other apartments in the building, but your apartment is completely private.
I'm available by message throughout your stay and happy to help with recommendations, directions, or anything that comes up. I often stay in the building when my schedule takes me to NYC, so you might see me around—but self check-in means you're completely independent. I'll check in to see if you need anything, but I follow your lead—reach out as much or as little as you'd like.
You're in West Bergen-Lafayette, a quiet residential area that feels like a real neighborhood—not a tourist zone. This is authentic Jersey City: working families, longtime residents, and a genuinely diverse community. West Side Avenue (one block away) is your main strip for everything you'll need: a supermarket right around the corner, plus cafes, delis, bakeries, and restaurants representing the neighborhood's many cultures. You'll find everything from Latin American spots to Asian cuisine to classic diners.
This isn't the polished downtown waterfront—it's calmer, more lived-in, with tree-lined streets where neighbors know each other. Lincoln Park is nearby for a morning walk or letting kids run around. You get the residential feel and real local flavor while still being incredibly close to the Light Rail for quick access to Manhattan, Hoboken, and Jersey City's waterfront.
The best of both worlds: easy NYC access without the noise, crowds, or downtown prices.
🚶 On Foot:
Everything you need is within walking distance—supermarket, restaurants, cafes, and the Light Rail station are all 1-2 blocks away. The neighborhood is walkable and safe.
Public Transit:
Light Rail (1 block): Connects to Hoboken, Jersey City waterfront, and PATH trains to NYC
Bus 119 to Port Authority (at JFK Blvd & Ege Ave): Direct bus to Midtown Manhattan during weekday peak hours only (mornings 5am-10am, evenings 3pm-8:30pm)
Additional bus routes on West Side Avenue
By Car:
If you're driving, street parking can be tight, but the city parking lot at the Light Rail station (1 block away) is your best bet—affordable and convenient.
Rideshare:
Uber and Lyft are readily available and affordable for trips around Jersey City or to nearby areas.
