Idyllic place to ring in the new year

This is a beautiful home in a great location. The host was very responsive. There was some confusion about the pool. It is not heated unless you pay extra and request that it be set up before you arrive. The heated spa was available and was wonderful. The entire backyard is a tranquil retreat. There were seven adults in our group. The pullout couch was actually a blow up mattress, but we were all comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property in the foothills

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. The owner was a great host and the pool was amazing. We will definitely remember this property next time we want to visit.

Relaxing spot to visit SoCal

Very comfortable home with a lovely pool/outdoor area. Beds and pillows were comfy and we slept well. Air conditioning was amazing. Convenient location. We visited The Huntington, Jet Propulsion Lab, and downtown Pasadena without needing to get on the freeway. Walkable to breakfast, coffee, and even groceries.

Fine but owner lives there

The house was clean, very neutral and pretty…but then we see family pictures. The closets (that were not locked) were filled with clothes and shoes. Bins of clothes and personal items under all beds. No where to hang your things. Some dressers were empty. The pool area was our favorite, lovely sitting areas, plenty of towels. The kitchen was nice, but again, the owner’s food was in (unlocked) cabinets. Honestly, if you don’t mind renting someone’s home, this listing is for you. Personally, I would not have rented this house if I had known that the owner’s belongings and personal pictures were everywhere. It was clean, and the owner was nice, but they definitely need to put their personal belongings in locked closets, and do a better job making it feel more like a rental and less like you’re borrowing someone’s home.

Dodgers Getaway

Some old friends got together to enjoy a weekend catching up, and watching a couple Red Sox - Dodgers games. We had a great stay! Kris was a very responsive, thoughtful, and helpful host, and we spent time relaxing by the pool and hanging out together in the beautiful back patio. It was a perfect home base (or "plate"...) for our trip.

Great Stay

Great stay in a nice and clean house. The pool was a hit with the kids and the house and neighborhood felt very clean and safe. Everything was as advertised and the host was very friendly and accommodating! We will definitely stay again if back in the area.

Great Stay

We were in town with family for a college graduation and needed a space to gather between events. This home was perfect. Spent all our time on the patio or in the pool! Plenty of room for 3 couples for the weekend.

Wedding Trip

This property is gorgeous and exactly what it looks like online. We were in town to attend my Granddaughter's wedding and needed a place that would accommodate all of our needs for dressing for that special day and this filled the billed perfectly. My great-granddaughter, who was the flower girl, loved the pool and it greatly helped to keep her calm and entertained in the days prior to the wedding. The property grounds were so well groomed, too. Thank you so much, Kris, for responding in a speedy manner when I had some questions, I would recommend this property for anyone who wants to enjoy a "home away from home".

Rose Bowl Family Stay

We loved our stay here! Kris was very accommodating and responsive in communication. The home was perfect for our family stay in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. We enjoyed cooking meals both inside and out, took advantage of the fire pits and hot tub. Loved our walks in the quiet neighborhood and a hike in Eaton Canyon nearby.

Another great family stay to discover LA

We’ve found this charming bungalow in a real, quiet neighborhood to be a great base of operation for family discovery trips in LA. This was my second stay with family. To add to our previous review last year, we like having a coffee shop and a neighborhood breakfast restaurant within walking distance. On sunny days, we were poolside for awhile. The pool and patio areas are ideal for receiving visitors. As to the exploration of LA, everything seems to be a drive, so Altadeena was fine. Thanks to the owner for sharing a wonderful family home.

Great sunny patio and pool

This was my second time in this house. Very nice patio with a large outdoor table for 8 people. Great pool and hot tub which is very private, high walls prevent to be seen by other houses. Very sunny outside, several large umbrellas and nice outdoor furniture. Nice pergola adjacent to pool shaded. Comfortable kitchen well equipped with indoor and outdoor dishes. Large primary bedroom and in suite bathroom. 2 other smaller bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Great host, very quick response to questions. Nice and quiet neighborhood, great fir walking. Only 12 minutes by car from Old Pasadena with many shops and restaurants We will be back at this home

Wonderful house and stay!

This is a fantastic home in a great area, and was perfect for our family trip. My husband and I rented the home along with my mom and dad, so we could connect with family who live nearby. The home is tastefully decorated, well laid out, and the backyard is such a treat!! With a pool, outdoor shower, grill, fire pit, and multiple seating areas, we spent most of our time outdoors. My niece and nephew (8 and 11 yrs old) came over to use the pool and they had a ball. We grilled, we lounged, we didn’t do much beyond that, and it was perfect. The owner, Kris, is communicative, helpful and responsive. We are pleased with our choice to stay here and would do it again!

This property is charming beyond words. We couldn't convince our family to leave and explore Pasadena, because the outdoor area was so inviting! The kitchen is well-equipped; the beds are comfortable. Kris bends over backwards to check in and make sure her guests are taken care of. Thank you!

Charming and Comfortable Spanish Style Cottage

We were visiting Pasadena and LA for a few days to tour schools with our teenage daughter and son in tow. Kris' charming home is conveniently located, was super comfortable and the well equipped house and pool/patio area allowed us to decompress in our downtime. Kris was very communicative and helpful. Highly recommend!

This house is so lovely! The main living areas is cute and cozy while the outdoor space can easily hold a large gathering. The pool temperature was perfect (with having to heat it) and the spa was nice and hot. Kris was a excellent host very fast to reply. Could not recommend it enough👍

Graduation Nostalgia

We returned to the LA metro area to celebrate graduation from a local university. Property is strategically located to multiple freeways for quick and easy access that enabled us to travel to areas where we used to live and enjoy our favorite restaurants. It was just as easy for friends from across the region to join us for barbeque reunions and take advantage of the spectacular courtyard, pool, spa, cabana and outdoor grill. Beds comfortable, kitchen modern, tastefully and exquisitely furnished. Homie and quaint. Super quiet except for the beautiful bird chatter at the crack of dawn. An authentic gem!

Quick trip to LA

Our family of 5 wanted to take a quick trip to LA to see family and friends. We chose this beautiful property because of the location and outdoor living space. The weather was too cold to enjoy the pool but the hot tub was great. The house was very clean and had plenty of space for all of us. Kris was wonderful and was easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay at La Hacienda. Kris was very responsive to questions. The house is beautifully maintained and comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. The outside areas (pool, spa, fire pits/fire place) were very lovely and enjoyable. king-size bed in main bedroom was super comfortable. Easy access to trail heads for hiking in the nearby mountains, which we enjoyed.

Roses Forever!

We booked this VRBO to watch our daughter march in the Rose Bowl parade scoring a perfect ten with the VRBO and the Rose Bowl festivities. Beautiful views and very close to great bars and restaurants. The courtyard, pool and patio was amazing and we found ourselves migrating to those areas when the weather permitted and we had downtime. We took advantage of the hiking trails and scenic drives! Our host was amazing with directions and recommendations. It was a little tight for the 5 of us but we made it work.
